Abstract
【解決手段】 本発明は、陽極タップと陰極タップとを備える電極組立体と前記電極組立体が受け入られる缶と電極端子が絶縁されて形成され、前記缶の上段開口部を封入するギャッププレートを備えるギャップ組立体と、を含む二次電池において、前記ギャッププレートの下面に形成される保護素子溝と前記保護素子溝に安着され、前記陰極タップと電極端子との間に連結されるサーモブレーカを含むことを特徴とする。

Claims (16)
- 第1極タップと第2極タップとを備える電極組立体と前記電極組立体を受け入れる缶と、
電極端子が絶縁されて形成され、前記缶の上段開口部を封入するギャッププレートを備えるギャップ組立体とを含む二次電池において、
前記ギャッププレートの下面に形成される保護素子溝と前記保護素子溝に安着され、前記第1極タップと電極端子との間に連結されるサーモブレーカと、を含むことを特徴とする二次電池。 - 前記サーモブレーカは、
一端が前記第1極タップに連結されるバイメタルと、
一端が前記電極端子に連結され、他端が前記バイメタルに接触される端子リード線と、
密閉された空間を形成し、前記バイメタルと端子リード線とが各々両側面から挿入されるケースと、を備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の二次電池。 - 前記バイメタルは、
銅と亜鉛との合金、ニッケルとマンガンまたは鉄との合金、ニッケルとクロムと鉄との合金、ニッケルとマンガンと銅との合金中のいずれかの一つで形成される膨張係数が大きい金属と、ニッケルと鉄との合金で形成される膨張係数が少ない金属とが上下に積層されて形成されることを特徴とする請求項2記載の二次電池。 - 前記バイメタルは、厚さが0.1 〜 1.0mmで形成されることを特徴とする請求項3記載の二次電池。
- 前記サーモブレーカは、前記バイメタルと前記端子リード線との間に弾性体が更に備えられることを特徴とする請求項2または4記載の二次電池。
- 前記弾性体は、板スプリングまたはコイルスプリングであることを特徴とする請求項5記載の二次電池。
- 前記ケースは、上部が開放されたボックスタイプであって、 両側面の下段部に前記バイメタルと端子リード線とが貫通されて固定されるバイメタルホールと端子リード線ホールとが形成されるケース本体と、前記ケース本体の上部を密閉するカバーとを含んでなることを特徴とする請求項2記載の二次電池。
- 前記ケース本体は、前記端子リード線が安着される位置の下部に第1貫通ホールが形成され、
前記端子リード線が第1貫通ホールを密閉しながら前記ケース本体の下部に露出することを特徴とする請求項7記載の二次電池。 - 前記ケース本体は、前記バイメタルが安着される位置の下部に第2貫通ホールが形成され、
前記バイメタルが第2貫通ホールを密閉しながら前記ケース本体の下部に露出することを特徴とする請求項7記載の二次電池。 - 前記ケース本体は、前記端子リード線が安着される位置の下部に第1貫通ホールが形成され、前記バイメタルが安着される位置の下部に第2貫通ホールが形成され、
前記端子リード線が第1貫通ホールを密閉しながら前記ケース本体の下部に露出し、前記バイメタルが第2貫通ホールを密閉しながら前記ケース本体の下部に露出することを特徴とする請求項7記載の二次電池。 - 前記ケースは、PP、PI、PPS、または、Nylon66で形成されることを特徴とする請求項7記載の二次電池。
- 前記サーモブレーカは、前記バイメタルの下部に導電板を更に含んでなることを特徴とする請求項2記載の二次電池。
- 前記導電板は、銅、ニッケル、アルミニウム、銀の中のいずれかの一つで形成されることを特徴とする請求項12記載の二次電池。
- 前記サーモブレーカは、前記バイメタルの下部、または、上部に薄板のセラミックPTC素子を更に含んでなることを特徴とする請求項2記載の二次電池。
- 前記セラミックPTC素子は、チタン酸バリウム系材質で形成されることを特徴とする請求項14記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1極タップは陰極タップで、第2極板は陽極タップで形成され、前記電極端子は陰極端子で形成されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の二次電池。
