一般にダイアモンド鋸10aは図2に示されるように、環形銅板或いは比較的軟らかい金属板材を機械で圧延し、ダイアモンド顆粒を環形銅板外周に結合させて形成され、この構造の切削効果は極めて良好である。しかしダイアモンド鋸10aは銅材或いは比較的軟らかい金属板で製造され、銅材の強度不足のためにゆっくりとした切削しか行なえず、高速切削に使用すると厳重な変形と損壊を発生しうる。この欠点を改善するため、業界では図1に示されるダイアモンド金属焼結式のダイアモンド鋸10を提供している。それは各種の金属粉末とダイアモンド顆粒を混合し、並びに特性の型に置き、冷圧方式で粉塊体となし、それを強化するため、摂氏850度の高温でダイアモンド含有石材を強化したダイアモンド研磨輪塊101を形成し、さらに各ダイアモンド研磨輪塊101を軸孔を具えた環形鋼片120の外周部分に溶接してなる。このようなダイアモンド金属焼結式のダイアモンド鋸10は、高コストのダイアモンド顆粒と各種金属粉末を利用しなければならず、ダイアモンド顆粒と金属粉末混合時に、作業員の皮膚に病変を形成させやすく、また製造の周辺設備システムが極めて高価であり、且つ電力を極めて消耗し空気汚染を形成し、製造過程が煩瑣で、製造コストが極めて高く、製品単価が機械圧延式の銅材ダイアモンド鋸10aの数倍にもなり、各業種のコストダウンの要求に符合しにくい。さらに、図2のダイアモンド金属焼結式のダイアモンド鋸10の切削効果は図1機械圧延式で製造された銅材ダイアモンド鋸10aより劣る。
