Abstract
【解決手段】連続X線を単色化するのに単一の金属材料のみからなる1種類のフィルターを用い、フィルターの厚さ、コリメータの径、管電圧および電流の最適化を図る。また、X線検出器は口の中に入る程度に小型化し、検出器と増幅器あるいは光電子増倍管はケーブルで接続する。

Description
例えば、γ線源としてガドリニウム−153(41.5keVの特性X線と97.4keVのγ線を放出)などが使用されているが、これは放射性物質なので測定装置の機構、製作条件に制約が多くまた、使用上も放射線取扱主任者の選任が必要となり各種規制が多い。
本発明に使用するフィルターの材料のK吸収端は25〜30keVが適している。
ただし、IO(E):試料のないときのX線の強さ
μ(E):試料の質量減弱係数(cm2/g)
L=1n{IO(EL)/I(EL)}
H=1n{IO(EH)/I(EH)}
RM=μM(EL)/μM(EH)
RB=μB(EL)/μB(EH)
添字L、Hはエネルギーの異なる(低、高)2種類のX線を意味する。
また添字Mは軟質材、Bは硬質材を意味する。

Claims (3)
- X線発生器そしてX線を絞るコリメータと、連続X線から単色化された2種類のエネルギーのX線を取り出すための単一の金属材料からなるフィルターと、X線検出器と、2種類のエネルギーのX線を弁別するための波高分析部と、得られた2種類のエネルギーのカウント数から骨塩量を求めるデータ処理部からなる骨塩量測定装置。
- 連続X線からエネルギーの異なる2種類の単色X線を取り出すための単一金属材料からなるフィルターとして、スズ、インジウム、カドミウム、銀から選ばれた1種類のみを使用することを特徴とする請求項1の骨塩量測定装置。
- X線検出器が容易に人の口の中に入る程度の大きさで、前記検出器とプリアンプあるいは光電子増倍管とは短いケーブルで接続されており、顎骨の骨塩量が測定可能な請求項1の骨塩量測定装置。
