Description

The present invention relates to an improvement of a vehicular lamp.

。   Conventionally, in a vehicular lamp, a base member in which LEDs are electrically connected and aligned is inserted into a housing internal space through a lens opening on the front side of the housing, and the base member is installed inside the housing. A vehicular lamp is known (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

。   In addition, a vehicular lamp is also known in which an LED mounting frame in which LEDs are electrically connected and aligned is mounted on a lens (see, for example, Patent Document 2).

JP 2000-243110 A JP 2000-123610 A

By the way, in a vehicular lamp having a configuration in which a base member is inserted into an inner space of the housing from an insertion opening formed on the back side of the housing, the size of the insertion opening depends on the shape of the vehicle body and other circumstances. Due to the restrictions, there is a problem that a base member larger than the insertion opening cannot be inserted from the insertion opening and installed in the internal space.

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and the object of the present invention is to make the insertion opening formed on the back surface of the housing even larger without sacrificing assembling performance as much as possible. An object of the present invention is to provide a vehicular lamp in which a larger base member can be installed and fixed in the internal space of the housing.

The vehicular lamp according to claim 1, wherein an inner space for arranging a base member in which LEDs are electrically connected and aligned is formed in a housing to which a lens is attached on the front side, and the rear surface of the housing An insertion opening that communicates with the internal space is formed on the side, and the base member is introduced into the internal space through the insertion opening and installed in the housing. A base member having a size that cannot be inserted through the insertion opening is provided. In order to be able to be installed in the internal space, the base member is divided into at least a pair of divided base members having a size that can be introduced into the internal space through the insertion opening, and one of the divided base members includes A pair of elastic engagement portions are formed which are spaced apart in the extending direction of the divided portions and can be bent in a direction of separating and approaching each other. Engaging claws are provided at opposite ends of the pair of elastic engaging portions, and the engaging bases are respectively fitted to the other of the divided base members so as to face the elastic engaging portions. The split base member is separately inserted into the internal space through the insertion opening, and the engagement claw and the engagement hole are fitted together in the internal space to be integrated. In addition, each of the divided base members is fastened to the inner surface side of the housing by using a fastening member at a portion farther from the divided portion.

The vehicular lamp according to claim 2, wherein the elastic engaging portion is formed with a pair of restricting protrusions that abut against a peripheral wall that constitutes the engaging hole and restricts an insertion amount, and the pair of restricting protrusions are divided into the divided protrusions. In order to prevent backlash when the base member is fitted, the pair of elastic engagement portions extend in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which the pair of elastic engagement portions separate and approach each other and in directions opposite to each other.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, since the base member is divided into the base member having a size that can be inserted into the insertion opening, the insertion opening formed on the back surface of the housing is not further enlarged and can be assembled. The base member larger than the insertion opening can be installed and fixed easily in the inner space of the housing without losing as much as possible, and the base member provided in the housing can be easily disassembled and taken out.

Furthermore, even when the size of the insertion opening cannot be increased due to restrictions on the shape of the vehicle body or other circumstances, a base member larger than the insertion opening can be installed inside the housing, and the number of LEDs is increased accordingly. Thus, the light emitting area can be increased.

On the contrary, even if the insertion opening is made smaller, the light emitting area of the LED can be secured to the same extent as in the conventional case, so that the strength of the housing can be expected to be improved by the amount of the insertion opening made smaller.

Further, even when the base member is divided in order to install a base member larger than the insertion opening in the interior space of the housing, the base member larger than the insertion opening is not increased inside the housing without increasing the number of assembling steps by the fastening member. Can be installed.

Furthermore, according to the invention described in claim 2, since the restriction projections for restricting the insertion amount are provided in the pair of elastic engagement portions, the division base member can be easily fitted, Since the extending direction of the restricting projections is formed in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the pair of elastic engaging portions are separated and approached, it is possible to prevent rattling during assembly and rattling during vehicle travel. Nevertheless, in addition to maintaining the same performance as when the base member is not divided, it is easy to disassemble the base member into divided base members, and as a result, when repairing and recycling the vehicular lamp. Is also convenient.

Embodiments of a vehicular lamp according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 1 is a front view schematically showing a front shape of a vehicular lamp according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a rear view schematically showing a rear shape of a housing of the vehicular lamp according to the present invention. The external shape of the housing 1 of the lamp is a desired shape according to the shape of the vehicle body.

Here, the vehicular lamp is of a rear combination type installed on the rear side of the vehicle. As shown in FIG. 1, appropriately shaped outer lenses 2, 3, 4 are provided on the front side of the housing 1. It has been.

As shown in FIG. 2, an insertion opening 5 is formed on the back side of the housing 1, and the insertion opening 5 has an appropriate shape according to the shape of the vehicle body. As shown in FIG. 3A, the housing 1 has a base member 6 and an internal space 1A for disposing a lamp (not shown).

The front side of the housing 1 is appropriately curved in accordance with the shape of the vehicle body as shown in FIG. 3A, and the lenses 2, 3, and 4 are appropriately curved in accordance with the curved shape of the housing 1. Yes. As shown in FIG. 5, the base member 6 is formed in a staircase shape so as to keep a predetermined distance from the lens 3 corresponding to the curvature of the lens 3. On the front side of the base member 6, LED holders 7 are arranged and arranged, and each LED holder 7 is provided with an LED 8. The LED 8 is electrically connected by a connection cord 9 and is controlled to be lit by a lighting control circuit (not shown).

A reflector member 10 is provided in the internal space 1 </ b> A of the housing 1 so as to face the lens 3. The reflector member 10 is fixed inside the housing 1, and the reflector member 10 is provided with a reflecting mirror 10A corresponding to the LED 8, and each LED 8 is attached to the reflecting mirror 10A as shown in FIG. It is what is faced.

The insertion opening 5 communicates with the internal space 1A, and the base member 6 is introduced into the internal space 1A through the insertion opening 5 and installed in the housing 1. As shown in FIGS. 3B and 4, the base member 6 is divided into two parts with a divided portion as a boundary, and is composed of a divided base member 6 </ b> A and a divided base member 6 </ b> B.

Each of the divided base member 6A and the divided base member 6B is configured to have a size that can be introduced into the internal space 1A through the insertion opening 5, and when the divided base member 6A and the divided base member 6B are installed in the internal space 1A, the divided base members 6A and 6B. Are assembled together to form a base member 6 having a size that cannot be inserted. Note that the divided portion is a substantially central portion of the insertion opening 5. This is to facilitate the assembling work when the divided base members 6A and 6B are integrated by hand as described later.

On the back side of the divided base members 6A and 6B, as shown in FIG. 3B, reinforcing peripheral walls 11 and 12 that face each other are formed at the divided portions. The split base members 6A and 6B are formed with mounting portions 6E and 6F having a pair of mounting holes 6C and 6D, respectively, spaced apart in the direction in which the split portion extends on the side far from the split portion. The reflector member 10 is formed with mounting portions 10C and 10D having mounting holes 10A 'and 10B' for mounting the divided base members 6A and 6B using screws 13 as fastening members.

A pair of elastic engagement portions 14 are provided on one reinforcing peripheral wall 11 of the divided base members 6A and 6B as shown in an enlarged view in FIG. The pair of elastic engagement portions 14 are formed in a rectangular parallelepiped shape and extend toward the other reinforcing peripheral wall 12. Engaging claws 15 are formed at opposite ends in the extending direction of the pair of elastic engaging portions 14 in opposite directions. The elastic engagement portion 14 has flexibility in the arrow direction Y.

The other reinforcing peripheral wall 12 is formed with a pair of engagement holes 16 facing the elastic engagement portion 14 and into which the elastic engagement portion 14 is fitted.

A pair of restricting protrusions 17 and 18 are formed on the elastic engaging portion 14 as shown in FIG. 7 so as to abut against the reinforcing peripheral wall 12 and restrict the insertion amount. The pair of restricting protrusions 17 and 18 have a rectangular parallelepiped shape, and are orthogonal to the direction in which the pair of elastic engaging portions 14 are separated and approached to prevent rattling when the divided base members 6A and 6B are fitted (assembled). Extending in opposite directions to each other.

Next, a method for installing the base member 6 on the housing 1 will be described.

Each divided base member 6A, 6B is inserted separately so that the LED faces the reflecting mirror 10A of the reflector member 10, that is, the elastic engagement portion 14 and the engagement hole 16 are visible to the operator from the back side. It is inserted into the internal space 1A through the opening 5.

Next, the divided base member 6A and the divided base member 6B are temporarily assembled by fitting the elastic engagement portion 14 and the engagement hole 16 to each other manually in the housing 1.

Subsequently, it fixes to the reflector member 10 located in the inner surface side of the housing 1 using the screw | thread 13 as a fastening member. Thereby, the base member 6 in which the divided base member 6A and the divided base member 6B are integrated is formed.

A circuit board constituting an LED lighting control circuit is connected to the back side of the base member 6 after the base member 6 is assembled to the housing 1, and the insertion opening 5 is sealed by a lid member having a connector. .

According to the embodiment of the present invention, the base member 6 larger than the insertion opening 5 is formed on the housing 1 without making the insertion opening 5 formed on the back surface of the housing 1 much larger and without sacrificing assembling as much as possible. It can be installed and fixed easily in the internal space 1A, and the base member 6 provided inside the housing 1 can be easily disassembled and taken out.

Furthermore, even when the size of the insertion opening 5 cannot be increased due to restrictions imposed by the shape of the vehicle body or other circumstances, the base member 6 larger than the insertion opening 5 can be installed inside the housing 1, and accordingly, the LED It is possible to increase the light emitting area by increasing the number of light sources.

On the contrary, even if the insertion opening 5 is made smaller, the light emitting area of the LED can be secured to the same extent as in the prior art, so that the strength of the housing 1 can be expected to be increased by the reduction of the insertion opening 5.

Further, even when the split base members 6A and 6B are fixed by screws 13 on the side farther from the split portion, the split base members 6A and 6B are fitted together to integrate the split base members 6A and 6B. Therefore, even if the number of screws 13 is the same as that of the prior art, it is possible to avoid the deterioration of the fixing performance as compared with the prior art, and accordingly, the insertion opening 5 is not accompanied by an increase in the number of assembling steps by the screws 13. A larger base member 6 can be installed inside the housing 1.

In addition, since the restricting protrusions 17 and 18 are provided on the elastic engaging portion 14, the divided base members 6A and 6B can be easily fitted. Further, since the extending direction of the restricting projections 17 and 18 is formed in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the pair of elastic engagement portions 14 are separated and approached, rattling during traveling of the vehicle can be prevented, and the base member 6 is divided. In spite of the configuration, the same performance as when the base member 6 is not divided can be maintained.

In addition, even if the restriction protrusions 17 and 18 are provided to improve the integration performance of the divided base members 6A and 6B, the extending direction of the restriction protrusions 17 and 18 moves away from and closes to the pair of elastic engagement portions 14. Since the base member 6 is formed in a direction orthogonal to the direction, it is easy to disassemble the base member 6 into the divided base members 6A and 6B. Therefore, it is convenient for repair and recycling.
