Abstract

The invention relates to a lighting module (1) for installation in a headlamp of a vehicle, comprising at least one light guide (11a, 11b, 11c) each having a first and a second end, and a support system (2) having a support (22). The support system (2) comprises a first fastening means (31) and a second fastening means (41). The first fastening means (31) comprises a first insertion portion provided on the support (22) and clamping means comprising at least one clamping member configured to hold a first end of the at least one light guide inserted into the first insertion portion. The second fastening means (41) comprise a second insertion portion provided on the support (22) and at least one hooking tooth formed at the second end and configured to retain the second end of the at least one light guide (11a, 11b, 11c) inserted in the second insertion portion.

Description

Lighting module integrated into a headlamp of a vehicle
Technical Field
The present invention generally relates to lighting and signaling devices installed in motor vehicles.
The invention relates more particularly to a lighting module comprising a support system arranged at a headlamp of a vehicle to accommodate and position a lighting device, such as a light guide.
Background
In a known manner, a vehicle headlamp comprises one or more lighting devices mounted in the headlamp in a preferably integral manner. The lighting device comprises at least one Light guide configured to diffuse Light generated by a Light source such as a Light Emitting Diode (abbreviated in french as "DEL", english denoted as "LED", referring to "Light-Emitting Diode"). Therefore, a lighting function or/and a signal function such as a Daytime running light (abbreviated as "DRL" and referred to as "Daytime running Lights" in english) is realized.
There is a lighting and signal support mounted at the vehicle headlamp and configured to receive a light guide. However, these lighting and signal supports do not sufficiently guarantee the correct positioning of the light guide, nor does they sufficiently guarantee that the light guide is fastened in a vibration-proof manner. Therefore, the position of the light guide may be changed unexpectedly due to vibration generated during the running of the vehicle. The function of the light guide may thus not be guaranteed, especially from a photometric point of view.
Document FR2965040 is known, describing a lighting device proposed to partially solve the above drawbacks. The lighting device is intended to constitute part of a motor vehicle headlamp (in document FR2965040 "optical unit") and comprises a plurality of elongate light guides, end portions, a support and fastening means. Fastening means are formed on the end portion, the stay and the head lamp, respectively, such that the fastening means formed on the end portion and the stay cooperate with corresponding fastening means of the head lamp, respectively. The fastening means of the end portion are configured to guide light from the end portion so as to diffuse the light towards the outside.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention aims to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks by proposing a lighting module that allows to improve the positioning and the anti-vibration fastening of a light guide or other device also housed in a vehicle headlamp, compared to the prior art.
To achieve this result, the invention relates to a lighting module for mounting in a headlamp of a vehicle, comprising at least one light guide each having a first end and a second end, and a support system having a support. The support system includes a first fastening device and a second fastening device. The first fastening means comprises a first insertion portion provided on the support and a clamping means comprising at least one clamping member configured to hold a first end of the at least one light guide inserted into the first insertion portion. The second fastening means comprises a second insertion portion provided on the support and at least one hooking tooth formed at the second end and configured to retain the second end of the at least one light guide inserted into the second insertion portion.
The invention thus allows to guarantee a good positioning of all the lighting devices assembled to the support system mounted at the headlamps and to ensure that this positioning is not affected by the vibrations generated during the travel of the vehicle.
Advantageously, the support system comprises guide positioning means defined on the support, the guide positioning means comprising at least one groove, the recess of the at least one groove having a shape complementary to the shape of the at least one light guide.
Advantageously, the at least one groove comprises a reflector formed on an inner wall of the recess.
Preferably, the second male portion comprises at least one cylinder having a shoulder formed on an inner surface of the at least one cylinder, the inner surface of the at least one cylinder having a shape complementary to the shape of the at least one finger.
Advantageously, the at least one light guide comprises a plurality of light guides, the number of clamping members of the clamping device being smaller than the number of light guides.
Preferably, the lighting module includes a heat sink accommodated in an accommodation space provided on a rear surface of the first insertion portion.
Advantageously, the lighting module comprises a lighting module fastening device configured to fasten the lighting module housed in the housing of the headlamp.
Preferably, the lighting module fastening means comprises at least one fastening tab configured to fasten the lighting module to at least one contact point or contact surface located inside the headlamp housing.
The invention also relates to a vehicle comprising a lighting module as described above mounted at a headlamp.

Detailed Description
In the following, the described embodiments relate more particularly to an implementation of the lighting module according to the invention. However, the invention also relates to any embodiment in different situations, in particular in any type of vehicle.
Fig. 1 shows a perspective schematic view of a vehicle headlamp and a lighting module 1 mounted in the headlamp. The lighting module 1 comprises at least one lighting device and a support system 2. Advantageously, the lighting module 1 further comprises at least one heat sink, also called heat sink. The at least one lighting device comprises at least one light guide. The support system 2 is configured to accurately position and secure at least one light guide 11a, 11b, 11 c.
In the non-limiting example shown, the lighting device comprises a plurality of light guides, such as three light guides 11a, 11b, 11c, as shown. In the embodiment shown, the three light guides 11a, 11b, 11c each have a curved shape, but differ slightly from each other. It should be noted, however, that the present invention is not limited to the shape or number of light guides shown in the figures. In view of this, according to another example not shown, the light guides 11a, 11b, 11c may have the same shape. Further, the light guides 11a, 11b, 11c according to the invention may each comprise one or more curvatures. In general, but not in limitation, as shown in fig. 1, a light guide 11a, 11b, 11c according to the present invention may have at least one straight portion. Furthermore, the invention is not limited to materials, colors or details, such as protrusions or/and grooves that may be formed on the surface of the light guides 11a, 11b, 11c to improve the illumination and signal effect.
The support system 2 comprises a support 22, a first fastening means 31, a second fastening means 41 and a guiding and positioning means 21. The guide positioning means 21 are defined on the support 22 and are configured so that the light guides 11a, 11b, 11c are assembled to the support 22. According to a preferred embodiment, the guide positioning means 21 comprise at least one groove formed on the surface of the support 22. The recess of the at least one groove has a shape complementary to the shape of the at least one light guide (11a, 11b, 11c) for holding the at least one light guide.
In the example shown in the figures, the guide positioning means 21 comprise a number of grooves, the number of grooves corresponding to the number of light guides. The grooves each have a shape complementary to the shape of one of the light guides (11a, 11b, 11c) so as to retain the light guides (11a, 11b, 11c), respectively. Advantageously, the grooves each comprise a reflector formed by an inner wall of the recess to guide light generated by one of the light guides (11a, 11b, 11 c).
Fig. 2 shows a perspective schematic view of the first fastening means 31. The light guides 11a, 11b, 11c each have a first end and a second end opposite to each other. In the example shown in the figures, the three light guides 11a, 11b, 11c comprise a first end 111a, 111b, 111c and a second end 112a, 112b, 112c, respectively.
The first fastening means 31 are configured to cooperate with the first end portions of the light guides 11a, 11b, 11c in order to hold the light guides 11a, 11b, 11c by fastening the first end portions. According to the present embodiment, the first fastening means 31 comprises a first insertion portion 32 and a clamping means 51 mounted at the support 22. The first insertion portion 32 comprises at least one cavity allowing insertion of the first end 111a, 111b, 111c of the light guide 11a, 11b, 11 c. In the non-limiting example shown in fig. 2, the first insertion portion 32 comprises three cavities, the shape of the hollow portions of the three cavities being complementary to the shape of one of the first ends 111a, 111b, 111c of one of the light guides 11a, 11b, 11c, respectively. However, the present invention does not limit the shape and number of the cavities of the first insertion portion 32.
The clamping means 51 are configured to maintain the positioning of the light guides 11a, 11b, 11c on the guide positioning means 21 by cooperating with the first insertion portion 32 and the guide positioning means 21. The clamping means 51 comprise at least one clamping member arranged to maintain the positioning of at least one of the first ends of the light guides 11a, 11b, 11c inserted into the first insertion portion 32 by clamping. Preferably, but not limitatively, the number of clamps less than the number of light guides is sufficient to obtain a satisfactory fastening effect due to the presence of the first insertion portion 32. For example, in the example shown in fig. 2, the clamping device 51 comprises two clamping pieces 51a, 51b configured to maintain the positioning of the light guides 11a and 11c, respectively; that is, the two clamping pieces 51a, 51b are used to hold the two first ends 111a and 111c inserted into the first insertion portion 32 and to hold the light guides 11a and 11c in the grooves of the guide positioning device 21. In this way, the positioning of the light guide 11b is maintained even if there is no clamping member for fastening the first end 111b of the light guide 11b by clamping. Thus, the stability of the first end portions of the light guides 11a, 11b, and 11c is ensured.
However, the present invention does not limit the shape and number of cavities of the first insertion portion 32, nor the number of the holding members of the holding means 51. In another example, not shown, the clamping device 51 may comprise a number of clamping members equal to the number of light guides.
In an advantageous embodiment, the lighting module 1 may comprise a heat sink device, such as a heat sink 9. The heat sink 9 is likewise fastened to the first fastening means 31. More specifically, an accommodation space is provided at the back of the first insertion portion 31. The receiving space has a shape corresponding to the technical shape of the heat sink 9 and comprises a flat peripheral surface adapted to receive a seal. Fastening means are provided to fasten the heat sink 9 in the receiving space. In this way, the lighting devices such as the light guides 11a, 11b, 11c and the heat dissipation devices can be mounted in an integrated manner so as to reduce the overall size of the head lamp.
Fig. 3 and 4 show perspective schematic views of the second fastening means 41. The second fastening means 41 are configured to cooperate with the second end portions of the light guides 11a, 11b, 11c in order to fasten and hold the light guides 11a, 11b, 11c by fastening the second end portions. The second fastening means 41 comprises a second insertion portion 42 defined on the support 22 and at least one hooking tooth. The at least one hook tooth is formed at the second end of the at least one light guide and is configured to remain inserted into the second end of the second insertion portion 42.
According to a preferred embodiment, the second insertion section 42 also comprises at least one cartridge. In an advantageous embodiment, the at least one cylinder comprises a shoulder formed on the inner surface of the at least one cylinder. The shape of the inner surface and the shoulder of the at least one cylinder are complementary to the shape of the at least one tooth.
According to the present example shown in fig. 3 and 4, the second insertion portion 42 of the second fastening means 41 comprises three cylindrical bodies 65a, 65b and 65c arranged to be inserted into the second ends 112a, 112b and 112c, respectively. The light guides 11a, 11b, 11c each include a finger formed on the second end 112a, 112b, 112c, respectively. Fig. 4 shows in a close-up schematic view the hooking tooth 55a of the light guide 11a inserted into the cylinder 65a of the second insertion section 42. The cylindrical body 65a comprises a shoulder 66a in order to improve the fastening of the hooking tooth 55a by engagement.
In this way, the stability of the second end of the light guide is ensured.
In a further advantageous embodiment, projections and recesses are formed on the outer surface of the at least one tooth and on the inner surface of the at least one cylinder in order to improve the fastening.
As described above, the stability of the first and second ends of the light guides 11a, 11b, 11c is ensured; thus, high precision positioning and vibration prevention of the light guide are achieved.
Advantageously, the lighting module 1 comprises a lighting module fastening means configured to fasten the lighting module 1 to a headlamp. The lighting module fastening means comprises at least one fastening tab. In order to improve the fastening stability of the lighting module 1 accommodated in the headlamp, the lighting module fastening device comprises a plurality of tabs configured to fasten the lighting module 1 to at least one contact point or contact surface located inside the headlamp housing. According to an embodiment, the fastening may be achieved by a screw.
Thanks to the cooperation of the first fastening means, the second fastening means, and even the guiding and positioning means, the invention allows to guarantee a good positioning of all lighting and/or heat dissipating devices assembled to the support system installed at the headlamps, and to ensure that this positioning is not affected by the vibrations generated during the travel of the vehicle.

Claims (7)

1. A lighting module (1) for mounting in a headlamp of a vehicle, comprising at least one light guide (11a, 11b, 11c) each having a first end and a second end, and a support system (2) having a support (22), the support system (2) comprising:
-a first fastening device (31) comprising a first insertion portion (32) provided on said support (22) and a clamping device (51), said clamping device (51) comprising at least one clamping piece (51a, 51b) configured to retain a first end (111a) of said at least one light guide inserted into said first insertion portion (32);
-second fastening means (41) comprising a second insertion portion (42) provided on said support (22) and at least one hooking tooth (55a), said at least one hooking tooth (55a) being formed at said second end (112a) and being configured to retain a second end (112a) of said at least one light guide (11a, 11b, 11c) inserted in said second insertion portion (42);
characterized in that said support system (2) comprises guide positioning means (21) defined on said support (22), said guide positioning means (21) comprising at least one groove, the recess of which has a shape complementary to the shape of said at least one light guide (11a, 11b, 11c), and said at least one groove comprising a reflector formed on the inner wall of the recess.

The lighting module (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the second insertion portion (42) comprises at least one cylinder (65a) having a shoulder (66a) formed on an inner surface of the at least one cylinder (65a), the inner surface of the at least one cylinder (65a) having a shape complementary to the shape of the at least one hooking tooth (55 a).

The lighting module (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the at least one light guide (11a, 11b, 11c) comprises a plurality of light guides (11a, 11b, 11c), the number of clamping members of the clamping means (51) being smaller than the number of light guides (11a, 11b, 11 c).
4. The lighting module (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, comprising a heat sink (9) which is accommodated in an accommodation space provided on a rear face of the first insertion portion (32).
5. The lighting module (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, comprising a lighting module fastening device configured to fasten the lighting module (1) accommodated in a housing of the headlamp.
6. The lighting module (1) according to the preceding claim, wherein the lighting module fastening means comprises at least one fastening tab configured to fasten the lighting module (1) to at least one contact point or contact face located inside the housing of the headlamp.
7. A motor vehicle having a lighting module according to any one of the preceding claims mounted at a headlamp.
