Abstract
【解決手段】 分散型エレクトロルミネッセンス素子10の発光層16中に分散する発光粒子として、それぞれ誘電体コアおよび蛍光体被覆層とを有する2種類の発光粒子22および24を使用する。発光粒子22の誘電体コアと発光粒子24の誘電体コアとを、互いに異なる誘電率を有する誘電体材料により構成する。

Claims (7)
- 少なくとも第1の粒子群と第2の粒子群からなる多数のエレクトロルミネッセンス発光粒子が、バインダー中に分散されてなる発光層と、
該発光層に電圧を印加する電極とを備えたエレクトロルミネッセンス素子であって、
前記第1の粒子群をなす各エレクトロルミネッセンス発光粒子が、第1の誘電率を有する誘電体コアと、第1の蛍光体材料からなる蛍光体被覆層とを有するものであり、
前記第2の粒子群をなす各エレクトロルミネッセンス発光粒子が、前記第1の誘電率とは異なる第2の誘電率を有する誘電体コアと、第2の蛍光体材料からなる蛍光体被覆層とを有するものであることを特徴とするエレクトロルミネッセンス素子。 - 前記第1の蛍光体材料と前記第2の蛍光体材料が、互いに異なる発光色を示す蛍光体材料であることを特徴とする請求項1記載のエレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
- 前記第1の蛍光体材料と前記第2の蛍光体材料が、同一の発光色を示す蛍光体材料であることを特徴とする請求項1記載のエレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
- 前記第1の蛍光体材料からなる蛍光体被覆層および/または前記第2の蛍光体材料からなる蛍光体被覆層の外側に、さらに誘電体被覆層が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1から3いずれか1項記載のエレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
- 互いに並列配置または積層配置された、互いに異なる発光色を示す少なくとも2つの発光層と、
前記少なくとも2つの発光層に、個別に電圧を印加する電極とを備えたエレクトロルミネッセンス素子であって、
前記少なくとも2つの発光層のうちの第1の発光層が、少なくとも第1の粒子群からなる多数のエレクトロルミネッセンス発光粒子がバインダー中に分散されてなるものであって、該第1の粒子群をなす各エレクトロルミネッセンス発光粒子が、第1の誘電率を有する誘電体コアと、第1の蛍光体材料からなる蛍光体被覆層とを有するものであり、
前記少なくとも2つの発光層のうちの第2の発光層が、少なくとも第2の粒子群からなる多数のエレクトロルミネッセンス発光粒子がバインダー中に分散されてなるものであって、該第2の粒子群をなす各エレクトロルミネッセンス発光粒子が、前記第1の誘電率とは異なる第2の誘電率を有する誘電体コアと、前記第1の蛍光体材料と異なる発光色を示す第2の蛍光体材料からなる蛍光体被覆層とを有するものであることを特徴とするエレクトロルミネッセンス素子。 - 前記第1の蛍光体材料からなる蛍光体被覆層および/または前記第2の蛍光体材料からなる蛍光体被覆層の外側に、さらに誘電体被覆層が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項5記載のエレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
- 請求項1から6いずれか1項記載のエレクトロルミネッセンス素子が、2次元状に多数配置されてなる表示部を備えていることを特徴とする表示装置。
