本実施例にかかる育毛剤を使用した結果、単なるオレンジの果皮の抽出物を育毛剤として用いた場合に比較して、顕著な効果が見られた。これは、大隈半島の温泉水および苦汁による相乗効果であることが推測される。すなわち、次のような効果を生じていることが考えられる。まず、大隈半島の温泉水は、クラスター値が７０Ｈｚ以下とたいへん小さいために、果皮の抽出物の成分が頭皮および毛根に浸透し、より高い育毛効果を発揮することができる。また、当該温泉水は７０以上の高い界面活性力値を有するので、頭皮の皮脂を溶かしてより深く毛根に抽出物成分を行き渡らせることができる。さらに、当該温泉水は、ゲルマニウムが含まれるので頭皮の血行をよくして、頭皮を活性化することでより育毛効果を高くすることができる。それから、当該温泉水にはクロレラが含まれる。クロレラは保湿力をもつことが知られており、これが頭皮を適度に保湿することで、より育毛効果を高くすることができる。また、当該温泉水はＰＨ８．５以上のアルカリ泉であり、天然ミネラル成分が多く含まれる。ミネラルは皮膚の新陳代謝を促進することが知られており、ミネラル成分が頭皮の新陳代謝を促進して育毛に資することができる。また、苦汁にも多くのミネラル成分が含まれるので、これを加えることで、さらに、ミネラル分を増加させ育毛に資することができる。 (Example)
