Claims (5)
- 裏打ち層及び記録層を有する垂直磁気記録媒体と、主磁極及び補助磁極を有し、前記主磁極から出た磁界は、閉磁路を構成するように、前記垂直磁気記録媒体の記録層及び裏打ち層を通り、前記補助磁極に入る単磁極ヘッドとを備える磁気ディスク装置において、
前記主磁極は、先端部とトラック幅方向の幅が前記先端部のトラック幅方向の幅よりも大きい後部とを有し、前記主磁極の先端部には、前記垂直磁気記録媒体に対向する面からテーパ面が設けられ、前記テーパ面は、前記主磁極のトレーリング側面に、浮上面から見た浮上高さ方向に傾斜するように形成されていることを特徴とする磁気ディスク装置。 - 前記単磁極ヘッドと、更に再生ヘッドとを有する記録再生ヘッドを備えることを特徴とする請求項１記載の磁気ディスク装置。
- 前記主磁極の浮上面と前記テーパ面のなす角度が、０度より大きく７５度以下であることを特徴とする請求項１記載の磁気ディスク装置。
- 前記主磁極の浮上面と前記テーパ面のなす角度が３０度以上、７５度以下であることを特徴とする請求項３記載の磁気ディスク装置。
- 前記主磁極の浮上面と前記テーパ面のなす角度が４５度以上、７５度以下であることを特徴とする請求項４記載の磁気ディスク装置。
