Description

The present invention relates to wet coating (particularly in water-soluble coatings) used for coating automobiles, building materials, metal furniture, household appliances, etc., in which uncoated coating particles collected in the coating booth circulating water are solidified. The present invention relates to a paint mist treating agent and a treating method that are separated in a liquid and recovered in a state of floating on a liquid surface to suppress bubbles generated on circulating water and exhibit an effect that is particularly excellent in clarifying of circulating water.

Conventionally, in various coatings such as automobiles, building materials, and household appliances, a wet coating booth that collects surplus paint mist with circulating water is generally used because the coating efficiency is generally 20 to 80%. . The paint mist collected in the circulating water aggregates and floats or sinks, but because of its high tackiness, the coating booth circulation system (for example, water film plate, shower nozzle, piping, strainer, pump, etc.) and exhaust The system becomes a paint bottle and sticks to the system, or on the contrary, it is not sticky and becomes fine and clogs the circulation system of the paint booth, thereby blocking these systems.

Currently, oil-based paints are the mainstream in the market, but in recent years environmental considerations have become more important, and the use of water-soluble paints is increasing in order to reduce the occurrence of VOC from painting operations. . However, water-soluble paints are easy to disperse and dissolve in water and accumulate in that state, so the viscosity of the circulating water increases due to the increase in the solid content in the circulating water, causing a decrease in circulation speed or a decrease in exhaust efficiency. . Furthermore, there are problems such as an increase in the foamability of circulating water due to the addition of a hydrophilic surfactant or resin to improve the hydrophilicity of the pigment, decay due to an increase in organic components, and the generation of odor. For this reason, the water renewal cycle becomes shorter than that of the solvent-based paint, and a great expense is required for wastewater treatment. Moreover, it has a great influence such as a reduction in work efficiency due to foam overflow due to an increase in foamability, and a great deal of labor and cost are required to remove the paint soot.

In order to cope with such problems, various paint mist treating agents have been proposed and used. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a cationic polymer flocculant composed of an epichlorohydrin-polyalkylene polyamine condensate and a treatment agent containing an amphoteric metal salt such as zinc chloride and aluminum chloride, and Patent Document 2 discloses epichlorohydrin-polyethylene glycol. -Treatment agent containing a cationic polymer flocculant composed of an alkylene diamine reactant and alkaline zinc chloride, Patent Document 3 discloses a method of treating with an inorganic flocculant such as aluminum sulfate and polyaluminum chloride and a polymer. In Patent Document 4, a water-soluble salt of a polyvalent metal and a compound having a sequestering action are added together with an organic flocculant to make solid-liquid separation easy by using a waste coating component as a non-sticky agglomerate. Methods are known.

However, even if such a treatment is performed, rapid flocculation / separation is still not sufficient, the clarification of the circulating water is poor, and it tends to rot. In addition, because of the high specific gravity of the components, the coagulation of the paint cake is mainly performed by centrifugal separation by precipitation or dispersion, but there is a problem that the cost of cleaning or wastewater treatment when recirculating water is renewed is enormous. is there.

The molecular weight of the water-soluble polymer flocculant used in the present invention is generally 10,000 to 15 million, preferably 100,000 to 10 million. This is because if the molecular weight of the water-soluble polymer flocculant is 10,000 or more, sufficient cohesiveness of the paint cake is obtained, and if the molecular weight is 15 million or less, the solubility of the polymer is easy and the stability of the liquid This is because it is easy to maintain.

In the paint mist treating agent of the present invention, the amount of the water-soluble polymer flocculant is 5.0 to 50% by weight, preferably 10 to 30% by weight, based on the paint mist treating agent. This is because when the blending amount of the water-soluble polymer flocculant is 5.0% by weight or more with respect to the paint mist treating agent, sufficient cohesiveness and floatability of the paint cake can be obtained, and when the blending amount is 50% by weight or less Sufficient clarity can be obtained.

The inorganic alkali used for this invention shows the role which dissolves a phenol formaldehyde resin uniformly in a liquid. In the paint mist treating agent of the present invention, the inorganic alkali is sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide. However, the inorganic alkali does not contain calcium hydroxide or strontium hydroxide.

In the paint mist treating agent of the present invention, the amount of inorganic alkali is 0.05 to 5.0% by weight, preferably 0.05 to 1.0% by weight, based on the paint mist treating agent. This is because when the blending amount of inorganic alkali is 0.05% by weight or more with respect to the paint mist treating agent, the phenol formaldehyde resin can be uniformly dissolved in the liquid, and when 5.0% by weight or less, Not subject to laws and regulations.

By containing the phenol formaldehyde resin in the paint mist treating agent of the present invention, the clarification of the circulating water when the water-soluble paint is mixed in the booth circulating water can be further improved, and the increase in COD can be suppressed.

In the paint mist treating agent of the present invention, the compounding amount of the phenol formaldehyde resin is 0.1 to 10% by weight, preferably 1 to 5% by weight, based on the paint mist treating agent. This is because when the blending amount of the phenol formaldehyde resin is 0.1% by weight or more with respect to the paint mist treating agent, sufficient clarification of the circulating water is obtained, and when it is 10% by weight or less, the paint cake has sufficient cohesiveness. can get.

Furthermore, you may mix | blend suitably other additives, for example, antiseptic | preservative, an algaeproof agent, a rust preventive agent, an antifoamer, etc. with the paint mist processing agent of this invention as needed.

Although the pH of the paint mist treating agent of the present invention is alkaline, the pH of circulating water is not particularly required in the paint mist treating method. However, wastewater treatment is easier when neutral (pH value is 5.5 to 8.5). In the examples, neutralized with dilute sulfuric acid, but in the actual use site, when water is circulated, the carbon dioxide gas is absorbed and the pH tends to decrease, and the amount of paint mist treatment agent added is the booth device. Since it is about 100 ppm at most with respect to the circulating water, neutralization with an acid is not particularly required in the field. In addition, in Examples, after adding a water-soluble paint to a sample bottle containing tap water and shaking to disperse, add a paint mist treatment agent and lightly agitate again to dilute the pH with dilute sulfuric acid. Although it evaluated after preparing in the vicinity of 7, it may be evaluated after adding water-soluble paint to a place where tap water and a paint mist treatment agent are put in advance, shaking and stirring.

The treatment method using the paint mist treating agent of the present invention is not particularly limited, and the paint mist treating agent is used in a wet painting booth apparatus, and 1 to 50% by weight of the excess paint is batched in a booth circulating water or a metering injection pump. Add and use. This is because the paint mist treatment agent is 1% by weight or more of the excess paint in the wet paint booth device, and the tackiness of the paint cake, the floatability of the paint cake, the cohesiveness of the paint cake, and the clarity of the circulating water The effect of defoaming the circulating water is sufficiently obtained, and it is economical at 50% by weight or less.
