Abstract
【解決手段】本願発明は、エレクトロウェッティングの原理を囲壁の内部に封入されている流体の領域に適用して、複数の液体レンズを形成する。光ビームが複数のレンズに入射したとき、複数のレンズは、対応する複数の出力分割ビームにおいて光ビームの一部を変形させる。流体の領域は、分割ビームの少なくとも1つの伝播特性を変更するために、前記複数のレンズの少なくとも第1レンズの少なくとも第1光学特性を修正するように、囲壁内を制御されて移動する。

Claims (10)
- 液滴を容れるように適合された囲壁内に配置される導電性液体の液滴と、
前記導電性液体の液滴の少なくとも第1表面の上に複数の液体レンズを形成する手段とからなる装置。 - 前記形成手段が、複数の電極に印加される少なくとも第1電圧に応答して、前記導電性液体の液滴の少なくとも第1表面の上に複数の液体レンズが形成されるように配置された複数の電極を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記複数の電極の各電極が、前記囲壁内に配置され、そして前記複数の電極の他の電極から電気的に絶縁されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記複数の液体レンズが少なくとも第2電圧に応答して形成されるように、前記複数の電極が配置されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記第1電圧が前記第2電圧と同じであることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の装置。
- 液滴を容れるように適合された囲壁内に配置される導電性液体の液滴と、
複数の電極に印加される少なくとも第1電圧に応答して、前記導電性液体の液滴の少なくとも第1表面の上に複数の液体レンズが形成されるように配置された複数の電極とからなる光学ビームスプリッタ。 - 前記複数の電極の各電極が、前記囲壁内に配置され、そして前記複数の電極の他の電極から電気的に絶縁されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の光学ビームスプリッタ。
- 前記複数の液体レンズが少なくとも第2電圧に応答して形成されるように、前記複数の電極が配置されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の光学ビームスプリッタ。
- 光ビームを分割する方法であって、前記方法が、
少なくとも第1電圧を複数の電極に印加し、それにより、複数の液体レンズを導電性液体の液滴の少なくとも第1表面の上に形成する工程と、
前記ビームが前記複数の液体レンズ内で少なくとも1つのレンズに入射するように、光ビームを受ける工程とからなる方法。 - 第2電圧を前記複数の電極に印加する工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
