BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an outer mirror tilting device that tilts a mirror body of an outer mirror, and more specifically, an outer mirror in which a rod drive mechanism that tilts a mirror body and a rod detection mechanism that detects a tilt angle of the mirror body are integrated. The present invention relates to a tilting device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, in an outer mirror that is attached to a vehicle such as a passenger car, an outer mirror base is provided with an outer mirror tilting device that adjusts the field of view of the mirror body from the inside of the vehicle, that is, can tilt the mirror body. is there. As this outer mirror tilting device, for example, a bearing formed at the center of the holder base to which the mirror body is fixed is fitted to a pivot shaft provided in the housing, and the holder base is tilted with respect to the housing. The tip of the drive rod of the rod drive mechanism is supported freely and fitted into the drive socket portion of the holder base. Then, the driving rod of the rod driving mechanism causes the driving rod to protrude from the housing, and the mirror body fixed to the holder base is tilted around the bearing portion of the holder base.
[0003]
Here, the field of view of the mirror body changes when the physique of the driver who drives the vehicle is different when the tilt angle is constant. Therefore, when a driver with a different physique drives the vehicle, it is necessary to adjust the field of view of the mirror body. Further, when the vehicle is moved backward, there is a case where it is desired to change the field of view of the mirror body. In these cases, the tilt angle of the mirror body is changed by driving the outer mirror tilting device from the inside of the vehicle. Therefore, in the outer mirror, the necessity to detect the tilt angle of the mirror main body has increased. Conventionally, a technique has been proposed in which an outer mirror detection device that detects a tilt angle of a mirror fixed to a holder base is fixed to an outer mirror base or an outer mirror tilt device separately from the outer mirror tilt device (for example, Patent Document 1).
[0004]
This is because the pair of shafts that are always in contact with the holder base by the compression spring changes corresponding to the tilting of the holder base, thereby detecting the vertical and horizontal displacements of the holder base to detect the mirror. The tilt angle of the main body is detected. As a result, the optimal tilt angle of the mirror body for each driver and the optimal tilt angle of the mirror body when the vehicle is moved backward can be stored in advance, and the view of the mirror body can be adjusted with a simple operation. The troublesomeness of adjusting the field of view of the mirror body each time the driver drives the vehicle can be reduced.

[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the outer mirror detecting device is fixed to the outer mirror tilting device separately from the outer mirror tilting device. Therefore, since the number of parts constituting the outer mirror that can detect the tilt angle of the mirror body increases, there is a problem that the number of assembling steps and the manufacturing cost increase.
[0007]
Accordingly, the present invention has been made in view of the above, and at least reduces the number of parts of the outer mirror that can detect the tilt angle of the mirror body, thereby reducing the number of assembling steps and the manufacturing cost. An object of the present invention is to provide an outer mirror tilting device that can be used.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, according to the present invention, in an outer mirror tilting device that tilts a mirror main body of an outer mirror, the holder base that fixes the mirror main body and a bearing formed on the holder base are fitted, and the holder A housing having a pivot shaft that supports the base in a tiltable manner, a pair of driving rods whose front ends are fitted in a driving socket provided on the holder base, and the holder base is tilted in the vertical and horizontal directions, and A rod drive mechanism having a drive means for causing the pair of drive rods to protrude and retract from the housing, and the pair of drive rods are provided to face each other with the pivot shaft interposed therebetween, and the holder base is tilted in the vertical and horizontal directions. Correspondingly, a pair of detection rods protruding and retracting from the housing and the pair of detection rods Characterized in that it comprises a rod detecting mechanism having a detecting means for detecting the tilting angle of the holder base from death amount.
[0009]
According to the present invention, the rod driving mechanism that tilts the holder base by driving the pair of driving rods inside the housing, and the detecting means determines the tilting angle of the holder base from the amount of protrusion and depression of the pair of detecting rods. And a rod detection mechanism for detection. Therefore, the rod drive mechanism and the rod detection mechanism for tilting the mirror main body fixed to the holder base can be integrated. Thereby, the number of parts of the outer mirror that can detect the tilt angle of the mirror body can be reduced, and the number of assembling steps and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
[0010]
According to the present invention, in the outer mirror tilting device according to the first aspect, the detecting means is configured such that the sliding member fixed to the pair of detection rods corresponds to the protruding and protruding amount of the pair of detection rods from the housing. Then, by sliding on the resistor fixed inside the housing, the electrical output of the resistor is changed, and the tilt angle of the holder base is detected.
[0011]
According to this invention, the detection means is a sliding variable resistor configured by the sliding member attached to the detection rod and the resistor fixed inside the housing. Therefore, the amount of protrusion and depression of the pair of detection rods becomes a change in resistance value, that is, a change in voltage, and the tilt angle of the mirror main body fixed to the holder base can be easily and easily detected.
[0012]
According to the present invention, in the outer mirror tilting device according to claim 2, the resistor on which the sliding member fixed to the pair of detection rods slides outputs the electrical output of the resistor to the outside. It is formed on the detection member provided with the connector for a detection to perform.
[0013]
According to the present invention, the two resistors on which the sliding member slides are formed on one detection member provided with the detection connector. Therefore, it is possible to further reduce the number of parts of the outer mirror that can detect the tilt angle of the mirror body, and further reduce the number of assembling steps and the manufacturing cost.
[0014]
According to the present invention, in the outer mirror tilting device according to claim 3, the detection connector is connected to the external connector through the rear surface of the housing, and the detection connector is located at a position facing the detection connector on the housing. A detection locking member for locking the connector is formed.
[0015]
According to this invention, when the detection locking member locks the detection connector, the detection member provided with the detection connector is restricted from moving in the protruding and retracting direction of the pair of detection rods. Therefore, when the external connector is attached to or detached from the detection connector, the detection member provided with the detection connector can be prevented from moving in the protruding and retracting direction of the pair of detection rods. As a result, the position of the detection member of the sliding member provided on the pair of detection rods can be prevented from shifting relative to the resistor, and the detection accuracy of the tilt angle of the mirror body fixed to the holder base can be reduced. Can be prevented. In addition, when the external connector is attached to or detached from the detection connector, a force is applied to the detection member in the direction in which the pair of detection rods protrude and retract, and the detection locking member locks the detection connector. It is possible to prevent force from being applied to the detection member. Thereby, damage to a detection member can be prevented.
