管状物品曲げ加工機械を使用する曲げ加工においては、多くの場合、管状物品が固定され、その自由端を引き出すことによって曲げ加工されるが、材質の浮き上がりにより、曲げ加工部分の内側に褶曲(しわ)が発生しやすい。これを防止するために、褶曲形成を抑制するための加工用部材、すなわち褶曲矯正部材が使用される。この矯正用部材は、種々の形態が可能であり、場合により褶曲矯正曲面体あるいは褶曲矯正シューと称せられる。それが塑性変形区域の内部において、管状物品を現に折り曲げ加工されている部分の方向に支持する。曲げ加工の際には、管状物品は褶曲矯正部材によって大きな押圧力を受けながら延伸されるので、褶曲矯正部材において、かなりの摩耗が発生する。この褶曲矯正部材における摩耗を防止するために、管状物品は、アルミニウム青銅、ベリリウム青銅その他類似の青銅系の材質を付加することによって保護される。しかもなお褶曲矯正部材は、極度に損傷を受けるので、かなり頻繁に新品に置換される必要がある。例えばモリブデン賦滑剤あるいは亜硝酸チタンならびにカルボン亜硝酸チタン等の潤滑剤の使用も試みられているが、いずれも耐用期間の延長には殆ど役立たないことが知られる。

曲げ加工に際しては、円柱状部材、ロール部材、案内補助部材、母型および案内帯条が必要であり、これらは頻繁に新品に置換される必要はないとはいえ、強力な負荷の作用も受ける。

この発明にとっての課題は、管状物品曲げ加工あるいは形状整形曲げ加工機械における加工用部材の耐用期間を長期間にならしめる可能性を提供することにある。

前記課題は、請求項1の特徴文言に記載された褶曲矯正部材、円柱状部材あるいは案内帯条等の加工用部材の使用によって解決される。

それに次いで、褶曲矯正部材および円柱状部材が、ロール部材、案内補助部材、母型あるいは案内帯条によって管状部材と接触される面は、モリブデンあるいはモリブデン合金によって被覆される。この被覆層の厚みは0.1ミリメートル以下であるが、それでも十分な耐用期間の延長が可能になる。このモリブデンは、例えば火焔噴射法、電気メッキあるいは蒸着等によって表面に被着される。

図1において、管状物品を折り曲げ加工するための円柱状部材式曲げ加工機械の一例を図示する。曲げ加工作用は、母型3を回転しながら締結部材2により管状物品1を引っ張ることによって達成される。案内帯条4および褶曲矯正部材5により、外部方向への誘導を容易ならしめ、また内部に設置される円柱状部材6を種々異なるものを適切に選ぶことにより、管状物品1の直径変化が起こらないようにする。案内帯条4、褶曲矯正部材5ならびに円柱状部材6が、管状物品1と接触を保つ面は、モリブデンあるいはモリブデン合金によって被覆される。
