Abstract
Description

[0001]
The present invention relates to the field of the textile industry, in particular to a straight comb, and is directed to a combing method and to a comber for performing this method.
[Background Art]
[0002]
The modern combing cycle of linear combing, born from a model dating back to the mid-19th century, is well known, with the first stage combing the so-called fiber tip and the second stage combing the trailing end of the fiber. It can be divided into two stages. The combing stage of the fiber front occurs when the clamp closes, and the combing stage of the fiber rear end occurs during the withdrawal when the clamp is opened.
[0003]
The combing stage of the fiber tip is performed by a needle section or tooth section, commonly called a circular comb, which is arranged on a part of the periphery of the rotating cylinder, and the combing step of the fiber rear end is generally called a fixed comb or a straight comb. Done by
[0004]
A circular comb with its axis of rotation fixed relative to the frame of the device makes one complete revolution per cycle of the device. Such a circular comb is a cylinder, part of the periphery of which has a section with needles or teeth, which gradually increases in density in the direction of rotation of the cylinder, and which is clamped during the combing stage of the fiber tip. It is used to clean the protruding fiber tips. In certain cases, the speed of the circular comb is gradually accelerated and then reduced during an entire cycle of the device.
[0005]
The other part around the cylinder has no needle and is smoothly hollowed out. This is because at the time of extraction, there is no need for a needle in this part of the cylinder, and it is necessary to provide a place for a mechanical component that operates during the extraction operation. In practice, as is clear from various documents, the circular comb needle can be attached only to a part of the cylinder surface supporting the needle (FR-A-2114192). There is a risk that the lower jaw of the clamp, which forms part of the mechanical part that operates during operation, will hit (EP-A-0936292).
[0006]
Furthermore, it is known from EP-A-0 735 168 that collisions between the circular comb, the clamp, the extraction cylinder and the air collector must be avoided.
[0007]
The sections with needles or teeth are generally provided with needles of increasing density, such as gradually combing the fiber tips (FR-A-1201911). Thus, the first needle bar comprises widely spaced needles and the final needle bar comprises fine, closely spaced needles.
[0008]
Currently, the needle section of a circular comb is cleaned by a cylindrical brush (FR-A-26551512), the brush itself is debris-removed by a doffer cylinder, and the doffer cylinder is debris-removed by an oscillating comb. You. For this reason, the rotation speed of the cylindrical brush whose rotation direction is opposite to that of the circular comb is faster than the rotation speed of the circular comb. Thus, at each combing stage of the current linear comber, the circular comb makes one complete revolution and the section with the needle is cleaned only once per cycle by passing through the front face of the cylindrical brush.
[0009]
It is known that the quality of the combed band, especially its properties, depends on the effectiveness of the combing of the leading and trailing ends of the fibers, and this effectiveness is not optimized unless the circular comb is properly cleaned by a cylindrical brush. Have been. By the way, often the needles or teeth in such a lining section cannot be sufficiently cleaned.
[0010]
In fact, since the needle or tooth density in this section of the circular comb is gradual, defects such as vegetable impurities and neps and too short fibers, which serve to remove it from the combing band, are eliminated by the needle. Or the teeth tend to jam between the thinnest and closest needle bars or teeth, and the cylindrical brush cannot remove them from the circular comb.
[0011]
It is therefore necessary to shut down the apparatus and periodically clean this section of the circular comb by hand. This operation sometimes requires removal of the circular comb. Otherwise, the quality of the band to be combed will gradually deteriorate.
[0012]
In order to overcome this drawback, it has been proposed to use brushes with very stiff bristles or even metal (DE-A-328146), which do not quickly wear the needles or teeth in the lining section. It does not give enough satisfaction. EP-A-0 735 168 also proposes to clean the section with needles or teeth at least twice in one cycle by rotating the circular comb at least twice per cycle of the device.
[0013]
However, due to the gradual needle filling density of the needle section, and despite multiple brushing of the section with the needle or tooth, the impurities, especially the first needle or tooth in contact with the textile material During which time they then collect between the thinnest and closest needles or teeth. As a result, the characteristics of the band to be combed gradually deteriorate.
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
[0014]
It is an object of the present invention to overcome the above disadvantages by proposing a new straight combing method which can improve the quality of the comb and the clean quality of the comb and a new straight comb that implements this method.
[Means for Solving the Problems]
[0015]
To this end, the straight combing method mainly comprises combing the fiber tips with a circular comb with needles or teeth distributed over at least 60% of the periphery, said circular comb being adapted for each cycle of the device. , The number of rotations is not a whole number or an integer number of times.
[0016]
The present invention is also directed to a new linear comber for performing the method, the comber comprising a feeding device, a withdrawal device, a fiber tip cleaning device with a circular comb, and a fiber trailing edge cleaning device. A circular comb comprising a needle or tooth (8) having the same or different characteristics over at least 60% of its circumference, said cylinder having a continuously adjustable rotational speed and a support shaft And the position is fixed with respect to the frame of the device, wherein the circular comb performs a non-integer number or an integral number of revolutions per cycle of the device.

[0050]
In such a case, the circular comb is preferably constituted by winding the at least one toothed wire in a card drum fashion, wrapping around the cylinder. When wrapping one or more toothed wires around a cylinder, each toothed wire may have a density, i.e., the distance separating two consecutive tips, or the thickness of the wire, or even the shape of the teeth, for example. May have different characteristics. When such a toothed wire is wound around a cylinder, the comb is not designed during the manufacture of the comb, i.e., a partial peripheral zone of the lining in which the teeth are arranged in a regular line, and another in which the teeth are arbitrarily arranged. Care is taken that no zones are formed.
[0051]
When wrapping one or more toothed wires around a cylinder to form a circular comb, the lining cleaning device of the type used for the card drum is selected for thorough cleaning. One example is known from FR-A-27055367.

The accompanying FIG. 10A shows a complete cycle in which a known type of linear comber has rotated 360 degrees. The fiber tip combing stage is denoted by a, and the fiber tip combing angle associated with step a is denoted by α. The angle α corresponds to part of the cycle of the device in which the fiber tip is combed. Such a combing angle of the fiber tip is typically about 130 degrees.
[0056]
FIG. 10B schematically illustrates the rotational motion of a circular comb during one complete cycle of normal rotation in conventional linear combing. The angle b is defined as the working arc of the lining of the circular comb, corresponding to the length of the needle or tooth lining used in the combing stage of the fiber tip, and the angle β is defined as the working arc of the lining of the comb . In conventional straight combs, the lining angle of such combs is about 160 to 220 degrees. Since the circular comb makes exactly one revolution per machine cycle, the angular velocity of rotation of the comb increases and then decreases.
[0057]
FIG. 10C schematically shows an example of an embodiment according to the present invention. In this example, the circular comb makes one complete revolution during the combing stage of the fiber tip, the working arc of the comb lining is equal to the comb circumference and the angle of the comb lining is 360 degrees. The rotation period of the circular comb with respect to the cycle of the device is indicated by p and expressed in degrees. The rotation speed of the comb is constant.
[0058]
FIG. 10D shows an alternative embodiment of the present invention in which the circular comb has been rotated one or more times during the fiber tip combing phase, ie, p <α. The working arc of the lining of the comb is larger than the circumference of the comb and the angular velocity of rotation of the comb is constant.
[0059]
FIG. 10E shows another embodiment according to the invention, in which the circular comb is also rotated one or more times during the fiber tip combing phase, but the angular velocity of the comb increases and then decreases.
[0060]
If the angular velocity of the circular comb is constant, the number of revolutions performed by the circular comb for each cycle of the device is denoted by N. Thus:
(Equation 1)
Where 360 is the device angle / device cycle, p is the device angle / comb rotation, and N is the comb rotation / device cycle.
[0061]
At the beginning of the fiber tip combing phase, the angular position (in degrees) occupied by the circular comb when the first line of needles or teeth is engaged with the fiber tip is determined by the working arc of the comb lining. Define as the starting point.
[0062]
According to a feature of the invention, the working arc of the lining of the
(Equation 2)
The angle k1 increases in the direction of rotation of the comb. Thus, taking into account two successive cycles of the device, the starting point of the working arc of the lining of the comb used during the combing stage of the fiber tip by being engaged with the fiber tip protruding from the clamp is Never on the same line or same bar of needles or teeth.
[0063]
In addition, this method defines the relative starting point k1 'of the working arc of the comb lining as k1' = k1- (ENT (N) .times.360) when ENT (N) indicates an integer value of a number N. Deciding to be.
[0064]
Furthermore, it is preferred to select the relative starting point of the working lining of the comb lining so that the variable k1 'is between 10 and 350 degrees. For this reason, it is also preferred that the variable k1 'is rather close to 350 degrees and far from 10 degrees.
[0065]
In the example shown in FIG. 10C, during the combing stage of the fiber tip, the circular comb makes one complete revolution and about 2.77 revolutions per cycle of the device. That is, in this case, p = α = apparatus angle / comb rotation with 130.1 degrees, and N = 2.77 comb rotation / apparatus cycle.
[0066]
The starting point of the working arc of the lining of the comb in two successive cycles of the device has been shifted in each cycle by k1 = 996.2 degrees, ie for the comb itself, the value k1 '= 276.2 degrees has been shifted. I have. This is obtained by the following operation. (996.2− (2 × 360). In this case, in one cycle of the device, the circular comb rotates 996.2 degrees, that is, about 2.77 rotations, and the circular brush cleans 996.2 degrees of the circular comb, This means that the circular comb is cleaned about 2.77 times per cycle of the device.
[0067]
In a conventional linear comber, which occupies only a part of the periphery of the cylinder and has sections with needles of increasing density on a circular comb, the starting point of the working arc of the comb lining, The length and the period of rotation of the comb are always the same in each cycle of the device. Impurities retained by the lined section, i.e., defects such as very short fibers, neps and plant debris fixed by the needles or teeth of the lined section preferably remove most of the cleaning. Because it is the first needle to do, near the starting point of the working arc of the comb lining, and at the end of the working arc of the comb lining, where impurities are often caught between the thinnest and closest needles Seen consistently.
[0068]
In this way, the cylindrical brush, which serves to clean the section with lining, is located near the beginning of the working arc of the comb lining and near the end of the working arc of the comb lining. It must be possible to remove impurities trapped between the fine and close needles from between the needles. For this reason, the rotation speed of the cylindrical brush is faster than the rotation speed of the circular comb, and the bristles of the brush must sufficiently enter between the needles of the circular comb. Wears out quickly.
[0069]
In fact, in conventional straight combs, the lining section passes through the front of the bristles of the cylindrical brush only once in one cycle, so that this section is cleaned only once in one cycle of the device, and the brush bristles and lining are removed. The needle in the provided section is very complicated. Moreover, since the needles in the lining section are always subjected to the highest cleaning load at the fiber tip, the same needles are worn quickly by contact with the fiber material.
[0070]
The present invention can solve the above disadvantages. In fact, the starting point of the comb lining action arc is regularly shifted in each cycle of the device, so that at the beginning of the fiber tip combing phase, the needle or tooth of the same circular comb will never be repeated twice. Not engaged. The working length of the comb lining is adjustable and is proportional to the diameter of the comb and the period of rotation of the comb. Preferably, the period of rotation of the comb is selected such that the circular comb makes at least one revolution in one cycle of the device. The working lining of the comb lining is thus cleaned more than once per cycle of the device.
[0071]
Since it is not necessary to make the interlocking condition between the needle of the circular comb and the bristles of the brush so high, the cleaning operation of the circular comb by the cylindrical brush becomes easy, and the abrasion of the brush bristles is reduced. Also, wear on the needles or teeth of the circular comb is similarly reduced. The cleanliness of the round combs is increased and therefore remains effective over the long term. As a result, the quality of the band to be combed is improved, the life of mechanical parts such as circular comb needles or teeth and cylindrical brushes is extended, and circular comb cleaning work and cylindrical brush or circular comb needle or tooth replacement work are performed. Less frequently. Thus, the productivity of the comba is increased and the labor burden of the staff is improved.
[0072]
Preferably, the value p of the rotation period of the
[Equation 3]
Here, PGCD (p, 360) is the greatest common divisor of p and 360 (unit: degree).
[0073]
Thus, for example, when the rotation period of the circular comb is 130 degrees, k2 is 13 and when it is 131 degrees, k2 is 131.
[0074]
The variable k2 indicates the number of cycles of the device, at the end of which the same line of needles or needle bars of the circular comb engages the fiber tip which has protruded from the clamp. Thus, if the rotation period of the circular comb is 130 degrees, the same line of needles is used every 13 cycles of the device.
[0075]
Preferably, the rotation period of the circular comb is selected such that the variable k2 is as large as possible so that the needles of the same line are not used as much as possible and that the wear of the needles of the circular comb is as regular as possible. Furthermore, the rotation period of the circular comb is taken into account such that the variable N corresponding to the number of rotations performed by the circular comb during one cycle of the device is as large as possible.
[0076]
Other examples of the rotation of the circular comb, in which the circular comb partially rotates, or apparently rotates more than one rotation during the fiber tip combing stage, are shown below.
[Table 1]
[0077]
If the value p is greater than α degrees, the rotation of the circular comb is less than one revolution during the fiber tip combing phase, and conversely, if the value p is less than α degrees, during the fiber tip combing phase. The circular comb rotates more than one revolution.
[0078]
Preferably, the diameter of the circular comb is less than the commonly used diameter. Since the outer dimensions and weight are reduced, manufacturing costs are reduced and handling is facilitated. In addition, as with all others, the small size allows more space between the air collector and the circular comb.
[0079]
Moreover, unlike conventional combs having sections with and without needles or teeth, the circular comb is provided with at least 60% or more needles or teeth, preferably over the entire circumference. So it is perfectly dynamically balanced. Circular combs can be provided independently of needles or teeth. The size and density of the needles or teeth are selected depending on the fiber material to be worked on and the combing or recombing operation to be performed. Its rotational speed is preferably constant, so that the overall balance of the combing is better.
[0080]
Preferably, a circular brush according to the invention is coupled with an automatic advance device for a cylindrical brush as described in FR-A-26551512. The device is configured to compensate for cylindrical brush wear.
[0081]
The cleaning load of the circular comb by the brush is reduced, and the bristles of the brush gently intertwine with the needles or teeth of the circular comb to clean it. The automatic device increases the intertwining of the bristles of the brush with the teeth of the circular comb for a short period and periodically so that the needles or teeth of the circular comb are completely cleaned.
[0082]
At the end of such a period of complete cleaning, the automatic device reduces the intertwining value and causes the brush to return to the position it had before the period of complete cleaning. In this way, the wear of the bristles of the cylindrical brush is reduced and the life is extended.
