TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an apparatus for supporting a railway vehicle on a rail between a plurality of gauges and changing the gauge of the railway vehicle from a first gauge, for example, a standard gauge to a second gauge, for example, a wide gauge and vice versa.
[0002]
Problems to be solved by the prior art and the invention
A track-adjustable wheelset whose wheels can be displaced along the axle is used so that railroad vehicles can be operated between different gauges. For this purpose, the gauge adjustable wheel set has an unlocking disc. The unlocking disc cooperates with a guide passing through the gauge transition area to allow movement of the wheels on the axle concerned.
[0003]
According to the prior art, a separate special rail is used for each gauge in the transition zone between the gauges to form a transition between the gauges. In addition, a large mounting area is required, which is not desirable, for example, when the gauge is to be changed in accordance with, for example, a railway ferry. This is because it is often the case that a vehicle is operated on a ship with a standard gauge, for example, where it is placed in a detention line, the gauge is changed on the ship when it is unloaded, and then, for example, through a wide-gauge bridge, to an appropriate railway network.
[0004]
Known devices which allow the transition from one gauge to another include variable gauge bogies (DE 69607518, DE 19625031, FR 2,383,810).
[0005]
It is also known that the rails leading from the first gauge to the second gauge are configured in separate sections (EP 0611847, EP 0942100).
[0006]
A monitoring device for the gauge change process is disclosed in DE 198 17 950 A1.
[0007]
A switch axle for different gauges is described in the former East German Patent 286,481.
[0008]
It is an object of the present invention to improve a device of the above-mentioned type such that a change in the gauge of a railway vehicle can be carried out in a space-saving manner with simple structural measures.
[0009]
Means for Solving the Problems and Effects of the Invention
According to the present invention, the above-mentioned object is largely solved as follows. That is, the rail is the same rail between the first gauge and the second gauge, and the rail in the gauge change area is disposed on a pedestal that can be displaced in a direction crossing the rail longitudinal axis.
[0010]
In this case, the pedestal is preferably provided with a base plate and rails extending from the base plate, and the rail in the transition area is formed in particular as a grooved rail. Guard rails projecting from the base plate pass on both sides of the rails in order to ensure reliable guidance of the wheels on the displaceable rails or sections thereof. In this case, the guardrails must have a mutual spacing that is slightly greater than the width of the wheels of the railway vehicle supported on the rails.
[0011]
In a specific embodiment of the invention, a pivot is provided at the beginning or end of the transition area between the rails, which serves as a pivot point for the rail. The pivot may consist of a universal joint such as a link, joint or an elastic flexure.
[0012]
According to the present invention, unlike the prior art, it is possible to change the gauge of a railcar without any problem using the same rail between the gauges. To change the gauge, it is only necessary to change the interval between the rail sections starting from the transition area. In this way, a standard-gauge railway vehicle can be carried to a railway ferry (ferry boat), where it can be placed on a detention line, and when it is lowered, the gauge can be changed to the second gauge and sent out to the railway network without any problem. The same is true in the opposite direction.
[0013]
Other details, advantages and features of the invention will be apparent from the claims and the claims and from the preferred embodiments described with reference to the drawings.
[0014]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
FIG. 1 shows sections 10, 12 and 14 of a track 15 through which a railway vehicle passes. Here, the gauge change device of the present invention can change the gauge from the first gauge or the standard gauge 16 to the second gauge or the wide gauge 18. Regardless of which track the track 15 takes, the same rails 20, 22 are utilized and only the rails need to be displaced or adjusted to change the track. This is evident on the one hand by the rails 20, 22 shown in solid lines in sections 12, 14 of FIG. 1, and on the other hand by the dashed rails 20, 22 in the same sections 12, 14 of track 15. Sections 10 and 14 have a length of, for example, 3000 mm to 4000 mm, especially 3500 mm, and section 12 has a length of 4000 mm to 20000 mm, especially 6000 mm to 17000 mm, depending on the gauge difference to be bridged.
[0015]
When the track is to be expanded from the standard gauge 16 to the wide gauge 18, the transition area moves outward from the first pivots 24, 26, which are the centers of rotation of the rails 20, 22, and then ends at the second pivots 32, 34. And are guided in parallel with each other at intervals corresponding to the wide gauge 18.
[0016]
The gauge change device according to the present invention can also be used for a railway vehicle that makes a transition from one railway network to another without changing the gauge.
[0017]
In order to enable the adjustment of the rails 20, 22 of the sections 12 and 14 of FIG. 1, in this example, as described with reference to FIG. 2, the rail portions 28, 36 or 30, 38 of the rails 20, 22 Is mounted on a mount or pedestal 40 that can be displaced laterally with respect to the longitudinal direction of the track 15. Here, as indicated in principle by arrows 42, 44, 46, 48, 50 and 52, a plurality of rails 20 and 22 or a plurality of displaceable rail portions 28, 36 and 30, 38 in the longitudinal direction are provided. Suitable pedestals 40 are spaced from one another. Between the pedestals 40, the rail portions 28, 36 and 30, 38 of the rails 20, 22 can be supported on a slide plate.
[0018]
Each pedestal 40 comprises a pedestal 54, and the relevant rail portion, for example the rail portion 28, projects from the pedestal 54. Preferably, the rail section 28 of the gauge change zone, which forms the transition zone between the gauges 16, 18, is formed as a grooved rail.
[0019]
In the sectional view of FIG. 2, the rail portion 28 is located at a position corresponding to the standard gauge 16. When the rail portion is to be aligned with the wide gauge 18, the base plate 54 is displaced to the right in the direction of the arrow 56 in order to take the position indicated by the broken line. Conversely, when the rail portion 28 is to be transferred from the wide gauge 18 to the standard gauge 16, the base plate 54 is displaced in the direction of the arrow 58.
[0020]
As can also be seen in FIG. 2, guardrails 60, 62 run on both sides of the rails 20, 22 in the form of grooved rails as guides for the wheels 64 supported by the rail sections 36. In that case, as can be seen in FIG. 2, the inner spacing of the guardrails 60, 62 is slightly larger than the width of the wheels 64.
[0021]
Guides 66, 67 pass between the rails 20, 22 or the rail sections 28, 30 and 36, 38. The guides 66, 67 cooperate with the release or unlocking disks 68, 70 of the gauge adjustable axle 72 so that the distance between the wheels 64, 76 projecting from the axle 74 can be changed according to the gauge. When changing from the standard gauge 16 to the wide gauge, the unlock disks 68, 70 are pushed outward by the guides 66, 67, and at the same time, the wheels 64, 76 are released from the locked state, while maintaining the position of the unlock disk. It is moved on axle 74.
[0022]
Conversely, when changing the gauge from the wide gauge 18 to the standard gauge 16, the wheels 64, 76 are displaced by the unlocking disks 68, 70 in the direction facing each other along the axle 74, in order to obtain the interval corresponding to the standard gauge 16. Can be For this purpose, a guide sleeve 78 emerges from the guide disks 68, 70, on which a compression spring 80 acts. The guide discs 68 and 70 receive a force toward the center of the axle 74 by the compression spring 80. That is, the guide disks 68 and 70 are urged to move in directions facing each other.
[0023]
A similar displacement of the guide disks 68, 70 is not possible as long as the guide disks 68, 70 are locked in the locked state by the locking lever 82. This occurs when the wheels 64, 76 exit the transition zone (section 12) and enter the section 14 of the broad gauge 18. Conversely, when changing the gauge from the wide gauge 18 to the standard gauge 16, the locking lever 82 is released to release the locked state, and then the guide disks 68, 70 face each other according to the guides 66, 67 by the force of the spring 80. Direction so that the wheels 64, 76 are aligned with the standard gauge 16.
[0024]
The arrangement in which the rail portions 28, 36, 30, 38 can be adjusted and displaced in order to change the track 15 from a wide gauge to a standard gauge or from a standard gauge to a wide gauge without auxiliary rails or separate rails is shown in FIG. Indicated by. In FIG. 1, the traveling direction of the railway vehicle passing through the track 15 is indicated by an arrow. That is, the first row shown in the form of the table shows a case where the vehicle passes the track 15 from the right while holding the standard gauge, and the second row shows a case where the track 15 is passed from the left while holding the standard gauge. I have. The third and fourth rows show a state where the vehicle is changed from the wide gauge 18 to the standard gauge 16 (third row) or from the standard gauge 16 to the wide gauge 18 (fourth row).
[0025]
The pivots 24, 26, 32, 34, between the rail sections 22, 28 and 28, 36 or 20, 30, 30 and 38, which form pivot points at which the transition of the gauges 16 and 18 begin or end, are links, joints, etc. And other possible suitable structures are also conceivable.
[0026]
The continuous grooved rail that serves to guide the wheels when passing through the gauge change device of the present invention is formed as a continuous rail. When viewed along the longitudinal direction of the rail, the degree of displacement due to adjustment is relatively small, so it is preferable to form the pivot with an elastic flexure, thereby causing displacement.
[0027]
The application of the gauge change device of the present invention to the track bridge of a ferry ship is a special individual example, and does not limit the application of the present invention. However, in this case, the track bridge is required to correct the water level. It has a plurality of tracks whose height can be adjusted and is composed of a bridge connected to the deck of the ship.
