Abstract
【解決手段】光通信システムにおいて非線形効果に起因して誘発される光学的信号−ノイズ比のマイナス面が特定の方策によって低減される。通信システムは擬似線形状態で動作されるように動作され、構成される。さらに、適宜の分散マップと共に光位相共役器が使用される。この組合せによって、非線形効果に起因する光学的信号−ノイズ比の必然的なマイナス面が所望通りに改良される。

Claims (10)
- 少なくとも2つのセグメントと光位相共役器とを含むシステム部分を通して光信号を伝播させる工程を含む光通信システムを動作させる方法であって、1)前記システム部分が擬似線形状態で動作され、2)システム部分が0.5から2.0の範囲の分散マップ率を有することを特徴とする方法。
- 前記システムが、光信号−電気信号コンバータを備えた受信機を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記システムが、光信号発生器を備えた受信機を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記光信号発生器が、光信号をリタイムし、再整形する請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記セグメントが、2から100psec/(nm・km)の範囲の分散を有するファイバを備えている請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記分散マップ率が、0.8から1.25の範囲にある請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記分散マップ率が、0.9から1.1の範囲にある請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記光位相共役器が、分散補償器を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記システム部分が、複数個の光位相共役器を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 出力プロファイルが、離散的増幅によって生成される請求項1に記載の方法。
