Description

【発明の属する分野】
本発明は、旋盤等の加工機へワークの供給及び排出を行うローディング装置のクランプ部に関するものである。
【従来の技術】
部品加工においては、加工機の稼働率の向上を図る為、加工プロラムや加工工具の最適化による加工時間の短縮やワークの供給排出に掛かるローディングタイムの短縮が常に求められている。特に加工機が停止状態となるワークのローデングタイムについては時間短縮が強く求められている。
従来のローディング装置による旋盤等の加工機へのワークの供給は、ローディング装置前進、ワーク押し込み前進、加工機チャック閉め、ローディング装置チャック開き、ワーク押し込み後退、ローディング装置後退の6工程によって行われ、加工機からのワークの排出は、ローディング装置前進、ワーク押し込み前進、ローディング装置チャック閉め、加工機チャック開き、ワーク押し込み後退、ローディング装置後退の6工程によって行われている。
ローディングタイムの短縮を図るにはローディング装置の動作スピードを速くすることによって可能であるが、動作スピードを速くすると動作端でローディング装置や、クランプ装置によって把持したワークに大きな衝撃が生じ、ローディング装置の破損やワーク落下の原因となるため、実際に使用される場合はローディング装置の破損やワークが落下する事のない限界に近い動作スピードに設定されることが多く、動作スピードを速くすることによるローディングタイムの短縮は非常に困難である。
上記の動作スピードを速くすることに伴う衝撃の問題は、ローディング装置の駆動源に使用される数値制御可能なモータの加減速時の動作スピードを制御することにより動作端での衝撃を小さくすることが可能であるが、加減速に要する時間は上記の従来方式と較べ長くなってしまうためローディングタイムの短縮が非常に困難で問題となっていた。
【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明は、ワークの供給又は排出を短いローディングタイムで行うことが可能なローディング装置を提供し、加工機の稼働率の向上を図ることを目的とするものである。
【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、前記した課題を解決するための手段として、ローディング装置先端部に装着するクランプ装置の把持爪に揺動機構を設け、加工機内にローディング装置が前進又は後退する際にクランプ装置に装着された把持爪がワークと干渉しない装置構成とした。
【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面に基づいて説明する。
本実施例は、数値制御可能な駆動源によって走行するアーム1と、アーム先端部に形成した駆動機構によって開閉動作を行う複数の開閉爪5と、開閉爪5に支点軸8によって揺動可能に取り付けられた揺動爪6を有すチャック部より構成される。
駆動機構によって開閉動作を行う開閉爪5の上方には凹部が設けられており、凹部内には押圧手段10と押圧手段10によって押圧されるプッシュロッド9が挿入されている。開閉爪5の下方には支点軸8が取り付けられ、該支点軸8に保持され揺動可能に揺動爪6が取り付けられている。
次に本発明のローディング装置の動作工程について述べる。
旋盤等の加工機にワークの供給を行う場合、図2に示すように、数値制御可能な駆動機構によってローディング装置が前進させ、ローディング装置前進完了後、供給するワークを加工機のチャックに供給するための押し込みを行い加工機チャックを閉め、ローディング装置のチャック部の開動作を行う。
ローディング装置チャック部の開閉爪5が図面右方向に動作を開始し、開閉爪5に設けられている支点軸中心がテーパー部4まで移動すると、揺動爪6の底面がボディ上面に接することで開閉爪5と直交する状態に保持されていた揺動爪6が、開閉爪5内に押圧手段10によって押圧された状態で収容されているプッシュロッド9に押圧され、支点軸8を中心として旋回動作を行う。
揺動爪6の旋回動作は、開閉爪5の開動作完了と共に旋回動作を完了する。この時揺動爪6は開閉爪5の上面より突出する事のない位置に停止するように構成されており、ローディング装置が後退する際にチャック部と、加工機のチャックに供給されたワークが、干渉しないようになっている。
上記装置構成となっていることより、本発明のローディング装置はチャック部の開動作完了後に、従来方式のようにワークとローディング装置のチャック部の干渉を防止する為のワーク押し込み後退工程を行う事無く、ローディング装置後退を行いワーク供給を完了する。
また、加工機内より加工完了ワークの排出を行う場合、数値制御可能な駆動機構によってローディング装置が前進させ、ローディング装置前進完了後、ローディング装置のチャック部の閉動作を開始させる。
チャック部の開閉爪5が図面左方向に移動を始め、開閉爪5に設けた支点軸8中心がボディ上面まで移動すると揺動爪6の底面がボディ上面とテーパー部4のエッジ部に押し上げられ、支点軸8を中心に揺動爪6が旋回を開始し、開閉爪5に直交する状態まで旋回後、ボディ上面と揺動爪6底面が接し、揺動爪6をロック状態とた後、揺動爪6の把持部によってワークの把持を行う。この時、従来方式の装置の場合ローディング装置前進後、ワーク押し込み前進工程によってチャック部を加工完了ワークの把持可能な位置に移動させなければならないが、本発明のローディング装置の場合、チャック部によりワークを把持するのにワーク押し込み工程を必要とせず、ローディング工程を簡略化することが可能となる。
ローディング装置のチャック部で加工完了ワーク把持後、ワーク押し込み後退、ローディング装置後退を行い加工完了ワークの排出が完了する。
本実施例は開閉爪と揺動爪から構成される把持爪をもつクランプ部を有したローディング装置について記したが、本発明は上記実施例に限定されるものでなく、図4のように開閉爪と揺動爪から構成される把持爪を有するチャック装置であれば直交ロボットや多関節ロボット等の産業用ロボットに装着し同様の効果を得ることが出来る。
【発明の効果】
以上説明したように上記構成の把持爪をクランプ装置に装着したことにより、加工機チャックへのワーク供給後のローディング装置のワークの押し込み後退動作を行うことなく、ローディング装置の後退を行う事が可能となり、ワーク排出動作時にはローディング装置前進させた後、ワーク押し込み前進を行うことなくワークをクランプする事が可能となるため、従来方式において6工程必要とするワーク供給動作及びワーク排出動作を5工程で行う事が出来るようにしたことにより、ローディングタイムの大幅な短縮が可能となった。
ローディングタイムを短縮したことにより加工機が停止している時間を短くすることができ、加工機の稼働率の向上が可能となった。
