本発明は、牛、豚など家畜を屠殺、解体後に生ずる廃骨肉の処理方法及びその装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、牛、豚など家畜の屠殺・解体後の骨肉は、肉骨粉に加工処理され家畜飼料の原料として、欠かす事の出来ない重要な飼料資源として利用されていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
BSE(狂牛病)の発生により肉骨粉の使用が禁止となった今日、これからも尚、排出が続く骨肉をどのように処理すれば良いのか、国を挙げての大きな問題となってきた。従来までは、貴重な飼料資源として再利用できたものが、一挙に使用禁止になり、業界では、大打撃を蒙っている。一層、邪魔物扱いされ、再利用は出来ず、行き場のない状態で、完全焼却をする以外に方法はない。焼却をするには、生の骨肉のままでは処理量も多く、取り扱いも困難で、燃え難い、焼却に長時間を必要とし、大きな不経済である。そこで動物の廃骨肉の加温発酵処理方法で事前に処理を行うことにより、減容、減量化し、取り扱い易く、更に、廃骨肉の加温発酵処理をする事によって骨に発生する微細なひび割れと、多孔質化することで、焼却を容易にすることが出来て、大きく社会貢献するものである。

【課題を解決する為の手段】
本発明の廃骨肉の処理方法は、請求項1記載のように、牛、豚など家畜の解体処理後の廃骨肉を主に米糠、その他穀類滓を混合した発酵処理剤と共に密閉された処理装置内に投入し、加温しながら攪拌処理するようにしたことを特徴とする。

また請求項2記載のように、牛、豚など家畜の解体処理後の廃骨肉を以下の手順で処理するようにしたことを特徴としている。
(1) 密閉された処理槽内に前記発酵処理剤を投入し、槽内が70℃と成るように加熱する余熱処理工程。
(2) 次いで廃骨肉を投入し、前記発酵処理剤と廃骨肉とを攪拌しながら槽内温度が毎時5℃上がるように調整する加熱・攪拌処理工程。
(3) そして85℃程度に達したときに加温を停止する放冷処理工程。

また本発明の処理装置は、請求項3記載のように、牛、豚など家畜の解体処理後の廃骨肉を処理する処理装置1が、金属製ハウジング内にあって断面形状U字型の密閉された処理槽2と、該処理槽2の円弧面を下方から包むようにしたオイル湯煎タンク3と、該タンク3内に設けられる電気ヒーター4と、処理槽2内に支承される回転軸5と、該回転軸に複数組設けられ周方向に突出させた複数本の攪拌ロッド6と、該攪拌ロッド6に近接させて処理槽の内壁から立設させた破砕板7と、前記回転軸5を正転または逆転させる駆動モーターMとから構成したことを特徴としている。

さらに請求項4記載のように、前記処理装置1内には、ヒーターと送風ファンから成る温風発生装置10が設けられ、送風口11を経由して常時、温風が処理槽2内に吹き込まれるようにしたことを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明は、牛、豚など家畜の解体処理後の廃骨肉を主に米糠、その他穀類滓を混合した発酵促進剤と共に密閉された処理装置内に投入し、加温しながら攪拌処理するものである。そして処理方法は、先ず骨肉等の投入時の処理槽温度が70℃と成るようにあらかじめ発酵処理剤を投入し加熱調整しておき、次いで発酵処理剤と骨肉とを攪拌しながら槽内温度が毎時5℃上がるように調整し、85℃程度で加温を停止し、放冷した後、処理した骨を取り出して焼却するようにした。

本発明の処理装置を図1及び図2に基づき説明する。発酵処理装置1は、長さ2メートル、幅1.3メートル、高さ1.3メートルの金属製ハウジングであって、該ハウジング1の天板から下方へ直径1メートル、長さ1.3メートルの側断面形状U字型の処理槽2が垂設されており、そのU字型の処理槽2の円弧面を下方から包むようにして湯煎用のタンク3が取り付けてある。該タンク3の中には湯煎用オイルが入れてあり、タンク3内に設けられる電気ヒーター4で適切な処理温度に加熱できるようになっている。処理槽2内に支承される回転軸5には周方向に突出させた4本の攪拌ロッド6が複数組、回転軸上に設けられている。また攪拌ロッド6に近接させて破砕板7を処理槽の内壁から各立設し、運転操作中、骨に付着する肉、内臓はこの破砕板7で削ぎ落とされるようにする。そして回転軸5の一方端に設けたスプロケット8に架けまわされるチェーン9を駆動モーターMのギアに架けて駆動モーターMを回すことにより回転軸が回転する。

また処理装置1内には、図示しないヒーターと送風ファンから成る温風発生装置10が設けられ、送風口11を経由して常時、温風が処理槽2内に吹き込まれるようになっている。尚、運転稼動中、処理槽内に発生する臭気は配管パイプ14より脱臭装置15に送り込み、該装置内の木炭、竹炭など活性炭を介して臭気を除去して排気口16より外部へ排出するようになっている。

【実施例】
本装置を用いて牛、豚など家畜の解体処理後の廃骨肉を実際に処理した実施例を以下説明する。先ず米糠、その他穀類滓などからなる発酵処理剤100kgを処理槽上部に設けた投入口12より投入し、処理槽2内温度が70℃となるように湯銭用タンク3のオイルを電気ヒーター4で加熱した。次いで水分含量約30〜40%程度の肉や筋等が付着している生の骨肉20kgを投入した。

尚、処理剤は、主に米糠、その他穀類滓を使用するが、木屑等を混合した混合処理剤も使用できる。通常の場合、処理剤の量は、処理する骨肉等の約3倍量程度を使用するが、より水分の多い、廃肉、廃内臓、不要物残渣等に対する処理剤の量は3−5倍と多量の方がより効果的である。

投入後は駆動モーターMを回して攪拌ロッド6を正転、逆転させ骨肉と処理剤の混合攪拌を繰り返した。その間、処理槽内温度が1時間に5℃上昇するように電気ヒーターでオイルを加熱、調整した。運転開始後1時間を過ぎると、処理槽内の温度が75℃に達して、中の骨肉の状態は、骨と肉や筋が分離し始めている状態となった。更に処理運転を継続し、2時間経過後には80℃に達して、全ての骨肉や筋が、完全に分離していた。更に、投入後3時間を経過した時点には85℃に達して、肉や筋が完全に処理剤のなかに消えて見当たらず骨だけが目立つ状態となっていた。3時間を過ぎた時点で処理運転を停止して温度の低下を待ち、その後処理の終わった骨を取り出してみた。投入時は骨に外し難い肉や筋等が多量に付着していたが、U字処理槽2の下方に設けた排出扉13から取りだして見ると綺麗に骨だけとなり、光沢のある骨になって現れてきた。骨だけを計量して見ると、投入時の重量が20kgあったものが16.8kgに減量されていた。その結果、肉や筋、水分等が3.2kg付着していた事を示すものである。骨以外、肉や筋、残渣等は全く見当たらず完全に分解したものと思われる。

取り出した骨の中から、細長い肋骨と思われる厚み1.3cm、幅3cm、長さ20cmの骨2本を用意した。先ず其の中の1本を古新聞を丸めて其の上に乗せて新聞紙に火をつけた。新聞紙が燃え、暫くして、骨にも火が点いた。黄色い煙と共に小さな炎が出て、骨の表面に油脂分を滲ませながら全体が黒こげの状態で約10分間位で炎が消えた。そのまま3分間ぐらい様子を見る。これは完全燃焼ではなく、黒く炭化の状態である。その炭を取り出して、地面に置き、つま先で軽く踏むと、ざりざり、と音を立てて、いとも簡単に崩れてしまった。もう1本の同様な骨を用意、新聞紙の量を2倍に増量して丸めて同じように火をつけた。火の勢いが大分強く、見る見る炎に包まれて、約12分位で完全に火が消えた。後には僅かに骨の原形を留めた白い骨が、ほぼ完全燃焼と言える状態で残った。火力をある程度強くすれば容易に完全燃焼出来る事が分かった。

【発明の効果】
牛、豚など家畜の屠殺、解体後の廃骨肉は、生の状態では燃え難く、取り扱いも困難であるが、本処理方法のように70℃以上の高温で、廃骨肉に発酵促進剤を加えて加温・発酵処理を行うことにより、付着している肉や筋等処理剤の中で発酵処理され、骨は炭化処理されて焼却が容易になる。しかも処理運転時間は、約3時間で完全処理できる。

処理槽内温度を毎時5℃上がるようにし、酸素補給のための外気と同時に温風を送り、発酵を助長促進するようにしたので動物死骸や、骨等抵抗性の高い処理物でも難なく短時間で処理できる。また処理槽内部の臭気は全て脱臭装置を通過させ外部に排気するので公害問題も生じないなどの効果がある。
