BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Prior to describing the embodiments of the present invention, a description will be given of a ripple current flowing in a DC bus when a plurality of AC motors are each driven by a PWM voltage using an inverter using a common DC power supply.
[0009]
In this specification, a rotating electric machine capable of performing both a power running operation and a regenerative power generation operation is simply referred to as a motor, and terms such as a motor generator and a motor generator are not particularly used. In this specification, when a plurality of inverters are connected to a common DC power supply, the power line from the common DC power supply to the plurality of inverters, from the output terminal of the DC power supply to the branch point to the plurality of inverters, Called "DC bus".
[0010]
FIG. 1 shows a relationship between a carrier for generating a PWM voltage and a DC bus current. As a method of generating a PWM voltage, a triangular wave comparison method is widely used. In this method, the magnitudes of the command values vu *, vv *, vw * of the voltage applied to the motor and the triangular wave as the carrier are compared, and the PWM output voltages vu, vv, vw are generated based on the comparison result.
[0011]
If the vector of the phase current flowing through the motor is expressed as I (iu, iv, iw), the vector of the PWM output voltage is expressed as V (vu, vv, vw), and the DC bus voltage is expressed as Vdc, the current Idc flowing through the DC bus is expressed by the following equation. Is represented by
(Equation 1)
Each element of the first term on the right side of Expression 1 takes a value of either 1 or 0. Therefore, the DC bus current Idc is the sum of the currents of the phases in which the PWM output voltage V is Vdc.
[0012]
Looking at the change of the DC bus current Idc in one PWM control cycle, for example, when the voltage command has a relation of vu *> vv *> vw *, as shown in the figure, 0 → (iu + iv) → iu → 0 → iu → (iu + iv) → 0. The current becomes zero when the PWM output voltage V is all zero or all Vdc, and is called zero voltage. The voltage in other cases is referred to as a non-zero voltage.
[0013]
As shown in the figure, the DC bus current Idc has the following characteristics. {Circle around (1)} The waveform is substantially symmetrical around the time point at the center of one PWM cycle. {Circle around (2)} In one PWM cycle, in the case of power running, the order changes in the order of 0 → positive → positive → 0 → positive → positive → 0, and in the case of regeneration, the order changes in the order of 0 → negative → negative → 0 → negative → negative → 0. .

As is clear from the figure, the ripple component of the DC bus current Idc becomes minimum when the phase difference of the triangular wave carrier is around 60 deg.
[0036]

(2) When one of the three units is in the regenerative mode and the other two are in the powering mode, or when two units are in the regenerative mode and the other is in the powering mode, that is, the powering mode and the regenerative mode are mixed. In this case, the phase of the triangular wave carrier is shifted by 0 ± 180 deg. In other words, the phase difference between the triangular wave carriers of the three motor controllers is set to ± n · 180 deg (n is an integer) or a value close thereto.
[0046]
Incidentally, the ripple current of the DC bus can be most effectively reduced in the above-described first embodiment when the outputs of the respective motors are substantially the same. However, even when the output difference is large, the effect is small but the ripple current can be reduced.
[0047]
In the above-described first embodiment, the description has been made by taking the triangular wave carrier as an example. However, even when a PWM method called spatial PWM is used, the phase of the PWM cycle is shifted as described above based on the same concept. A similar effect can be obtained.

<< Second Embodiment of the Invention >>
A second embodiment for reducing a ripple current flowing in a DC bus in a motor control device in which five AC motors are driven by a PWM voltage by respective inverters using a common DC power supply will be described. FIG. 11 shows the configuration of the second embodiment. Note that the same reference numerals are given to the same devices as those shown in FIG. 3, and the description will focus on the differences.

[0054]
The method for reducing the ripple current of the DC bus by the above-described grouping when five sets of motor control systems are connected to a common DC power supply is described in detail. The case can also be applied. That is, seven or more odd-numbered motor control systems are divided into three groups and two groups, and the ripple component of the DC bus current is reduced for each group by the method described above.
[0055]
To summarize the above second embodiment, five or more odd-numbered inverters (motor control devices + power converters) are connected from a common DC power supply via a DC bus, and five or more are connected to the odd-numbered inverters. In the motor control device that generates the PWM voltage by the inverters and drives the AC motor by the PWM voltage, the odd number of inverters of 5 or more are divided into three and two groups, and the powering state of each AC motor or A regenerative state is detected, and a PWM waveform generating carrier having the same frequency is used for each group, and a phase of the PWM waveform generating carrier of the inverter is determined according to a powering state or a regenerative state of an AC motor belonging to the group.
[0056]
Specifically, for a group of three first to third inverters, if all three AC motors belonging to that group are in the power running state or all are in the regenerative state, The carrier phase of the two inverters is advanced by + 60 ± n · 180 deg (n is an integer) or a value near the carrier phase of the first inverter, and the carrier phase of the third inverter is −60 ± n from the carrier phase of the first inverter. Advance by 180 deg (n is an integer) or a value near it. Also, for two inverter groups, the carrier phases of the two inverters are shifted by 90 degrees when the two AC motors belonging to the group are all in the powering state or all in the regenerative state, When one is in the powering state and the other is in the regenerative state, the carrier phases of the two inverters are made the same.
[0057]
<< Third Embodiment of the Invention >>
Many sets of motor control systems connected to a common DC power supply are divided into three groups of one or more sets of motor control systems so that the output of each group is almost the same, and each group is made up of one unit. A description will be given of a third embodiment in which the ripple current of the DC bus is reduced by performing control in the same manner as the control system that drives the motor.
[0058]
FIG. 12 shows the configuration of the third embodiment. In the third embodiment, seven sets of
[0059]
A carrier for generating a triangular wave of the same frequency is provided to the motor control systems of all groups, and the same carrier phase is applied to the motor control systems included in each group, and the carrier phase differs for each group. In this example, the same carrier phase ph1 is given to the three
[0060]
These carrier phases ph1, ph2, ph3 are determined depending on whether the sum of the outputs of the AC motors of each motor control system group is positive or negative. In this example, since the sum of the outputs of the AC motors of the first to third motor control system groups is all positive, it is equivalent to the case where all three motor control systems are in the powering mode in the first embodiment described above. become. Therefore, the ripple current of the
[0061]
In this way, a number of sets of motor control systems connected to a common DC power supply are divided into three groups of one or more sets of motor control systems so that the output of each group is substantially the same, and each group is divided into three groups. The ripple current of the DC bus can be reduced by shifting each carrier phase by 60 deg and controlling each group as if it were a control system that drives one motor, and the output of each group becomes almost the same. As described above, the ripple current reduction effect is increased.
[0062]
The three sets of motor control systems connected to a common DC power supply need only reduce the ripple current of the DC bus by the method described in the first embodiment. The method will be applied to four or more motor control systems connected to a common DC power supply.
[0063]
In summary of the third embodiment, a common DC power supply is connected to four or more inverters (motor control device + power converter) via a DC bus, and a PWM waveform generation carrier having the same frequency is used. In a motor control device that generates a PWM voltage with four or more inverters and drives an AC motor with a PWM voltage using four or more inverters, four or more inverters are connected to the sum of the outputs of the AC motors of each group. The three groups are divided into first to third groups so that the absolute values are substantially the same, and the phase of the PWM waveform generating carrier of each group is determined according to the positive or negative sum of the outputs of the AC motors of each group. .
[0064]
Specifically, when the sum of the outputs of the AC motors of the first to third groups is all positive or all negative, the carrier phases of the inverters belonging to the second group belong to the first group. The carrier phase of the inverter is advanced by + 60 ± n · 180 deg (n is an integer) or a value near the carrier phase, and the carrier phase of the inverter belonging to the third group is −60 ± n · 180 deg from the carrier phase of the inverter belonging to the first group. (N is an integer) or an adjacent value. On the other hand, when the sum of the outputs of the AC motors of the first to third groups includes both positive and negative outputs, the phase difference between the PWM waveform generating carriers of the first to third groups is ± n · 180 deg ( n is an integer) or a value in the vicinity thereof.
[0065]
<< Fourth Embodiment of the Invention >>
The multiple sets of motor control systems connected to a common DC power supply are connected so that the output of one group is positive, the output of the other group is negative, and the absolute values of the outputs of the two groups are approximately equal. Fourth embodiment in which the ripple current in the DC bus is reduced by dividing the motor into two groups each comprising at least one motor control system and controlling each group as if it were a control system that drives one motor. An embodiment will be described.
[0066]
FIG. 13 shows the configuration of the fourth embodiment. In the fourth embodiment, seven sets of
[0067]
Carriers for generating triangular waves of the same frequency are provided to the two groups of motor control systems, and the carrier phases of the motor control systems included in each group are the same, and the carrier phases are made different for each group. In this example, the same carrier phase ph1 is given to the three
[0068]
In these carrier phases ph1, ph2, the outputs of the first motor
[0069]
In this way, a number of sets of motor control systems connected to a common DC power supply may be configured such that the output of one group is positive, the output of the other group is negative, and the absolute values of the outputs of the two groups are substantially equal. As described above, the ripple current of the DC bus can be reduced by dividing into two groups including one or more motor control systems and controlling each group as if it were a control system that drives one motor. .
[0070]
In summary of the fourth embodiment, a common DC power supply is connected to three or more inverters (motor control device + power converter) via a DC bus, and a PWM waveform generation carrier having the same frequency is used. In a motor control device that generates a PWM voltage by three or more inverters and drives an AC motor by PWM voltage by three or more inverters, three or more inverters are connected to the sum of the outputs of the AC motors of each group. The two groups are divided into two groups such that the absolute values are almost the same, and the sum of the outputs of the AC motors in one group is positive and the sum of the outputs of the AC motors in the other group is negative. The phases of the PWM waveform generating carriers of the two groups are determined according to the positive or negative sum of the motor outputs.
[0071]
Specifically, when the sum of the outputs of the two groups of AC motors is both positive or both are negative, the phase difference between the PWM waveform generating carriers of the two groups is ± n · 90 deg. (N is an integer) or a value near it. When the sum of the outputs of the AC motors of one group is positive and the sum of the outputs of the AC motors of the other group is negative, the phase difference between the PWM waveform generating carriers of the two groups is ± n · 180 deg (n is an integer) or a value close to 180 deg.
[0072]
As described above, in the first to fourth embodiments, in the motor control device including three or more AC motors connected to the common DC power supply 1 and their control devices, the DC bus 3 A method for reducing the ripple current was presented. Since the ripple current of the
