Abstract

Description
全光波長変換を行うために、我々は、先ず、第1の光信号Pinを、本例示的実施形態においては半導体光増幅器(SOA)である非線形媒体310に導入する。代案として、たとえば、非線形ファイバ、LiNbO3材料、非線形ガラス材料、非線形プラスチック、電子吸収変調、半導体光増幅器(SOA)材料などの他の非線形媒体を使用することができる。

Claims (10)
- 光信号を処理するための光フィルタ装置であって、
前記光信号の1つまたは複数のチャネルを各チャネルについてのスペクトル成分の離散したセットにスペクトルの点で分割するためのスペクトル拡幅デバイスと、
離散した番号の対応する前記光チャネル上の前記スペクトル成分を抽出するための抽出器と、
前記光チャネル上の1つまたは複数の前記スペクトル成分を個別に処理するための1つまたは複数のプロセッサ、および、
前記光チャネル上の前記スペクトル成分を再結合するための結合器を含む装置。 - 前記スペクトル拡幅デバイスは、光学的プリズム、格子、導波路格子ルータ、および、屈折率傾斜媒体からなるグループより選択されるデバイスである請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記抽出器は複数の平面導波路を含む請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記抽出器は前記スペクトルの1つまたは複数の部分を抽出するための複数の有限ミラーを含む請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記プロセッサは前記スペクトル成分の1つまたは複数に対して遅延を提供するための遅延デバイスを含む請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記遅延は数百の波長のオーダにある請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記プロセッサは、前記離散したスペクトル成分の1つまたは複数の個々のパルス整形を供給するための減衰器、増幅器、位相シフタ、および/または、信号プロセッサを含む請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記結合器は、星型カプラ、マルチモード干渉カプラ、指向性カプラ、Y字型分岐カプラ、レンズからなるグループより選択されるデバイスである請求項1に記載の装置。
- 光フィルタリングの方法であって、
光信号の1つまたは複数のチャネルを各チャネルについてのスペクトル成分の離散したセットにスペクトルの点で分割する工程と、
離散した番号の対応する前記光チャネル上の前記スペクトル成分を抽出する工程と、
前記光チャネル上の1つまたは複数の前記スペクトル成分を個別に処理する工程、および、
前記光チャネル上の前記スペクトル成分を前記光信号の1つまたは複数のチャネルに再結合する工程を含む方法。 - 前記スペクトル成分の1つまたは複数を処理する工程は時間遅延、減衰、増幅、位相シフト、および/または、他の信号処理を提供する工程を含む請求項9に記載の方法。
