【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来の光触媒式脱臭器では、光源や触媒体を筐体内に持ち一定の能力しか出せないものであった。吸着材を併せもつ構造であったとしても、その吸着材を頻繁に交換する必要があった。
そこで本発明は太陽光などの自然光中に含まれる紫外線の量は、ブラックライトやUVLEDに比べ400〜500倍の量がある。この自然光を利用して光触媒の能力を上昇させるとともに、吸着材の長寿命化と高効率な臭気分解を目的とする。

本発明は、筺体の上面を開放し、この面に自然光を十分に取り入れかつ、人工光の外部への漏出を防止する構造を持たせることにより、上記課題を解決したものである。

本発明を車用に利用した例について示すものである。
車室内で太陽光があたる場所に設置する必要から、ダッシュボードの上やリヤシート後部と限定され寸法にも制約を受ける。外からの日照をりようするので、受光面の角度、内面から照射するUVLEDによる紫外線が、上面の多孔質体から外部に漏れ出さない角度。多孔質体を吹出し口として使った。
従来の光触媒ハニカムの配置は特許文献2のように、光源から出る紫外線を外部に逃がさないように配置されていたが、本発明では光通過形ハニカムを使い、積極的に紫外線を通過させ、次の部屋の光触媒を照射して分解効率を上げた。

光通過形光触媒ハニカムは、金属性などの反射効率のよいハニカムを使い、ハニカム内面に極めて透明に近い酸化チタンなどのコーティングを施したものである。図2に示すように光源に対し、ハニカム目を並行させることにより、光は直接Aまたは反射Bして通過するもので、照明用のルーバーと同じような働きをする。光はハニカム内面にも十分に照射されるとともに通過した光は次の部屋の光触媒面に当たり、におい物質の分解をする。

光触媒と吸着材を併せ持つ多孔質体とは、活性炭繊維等に光触媒を担持させたもので、ハニカムやコルゲート構造のものである。このように通気性がよく、内面にまで光が当たり、光触媒活性化し、におい物質を分解するものである。

人工光とは、ブラックライト、水銀灯、UVLEDなどをさし光触媒を活性化させる波長を出す光源の事を指すものである。

夜などの暗い場合には、人工光にしか頼れない。送風機2によって吸込まれたにおい物質は、UVLED3からの紫外線が光通過形光触媒ハニカム4に当たり触媒活性化によりにおい物質を分解する。更にハニカム4を通過した紫外線は光触媒面5及び光触媒と吸着材を併せ持つ多孔質体6の内面に当たり、におい物質を分解する。分解できなかったものは、多孔質体6により吸着され脱臭される。

【発明の効果】
以上のように、本発明は、人工光と自然光を利用することにより、分解能力の向上と吸着材の性能回復ができ、長寿命となった。更に光通過形光触媒ハニカムを使うことにより、一つの人工光源でハニカムによる分解と吸着材の性能回復ができるようになった。
この発明は実施例に示すように、自動車用はもちろん家庭用、冷蔵庫、靴箱、靴、ブーツ、ゴミ箱、ペット用などに利用できるようになった。
