本発明は、主として溶銑の脱硫に用いる撹拌式脱硫装置に係り、特にインペラにより撹拌を行う脱硫装置に振動や熱による損傷の低減を図る手段を設けた撹拌式脱硫装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
鋼中の硫黄(S)は、製品品質に悪影響を与えることが知られており、溶銑中に石灰やソーダ灰等の脱硫剤を投入して硫黄分を除去する脱硫処理が行われている。その処理装置の一つとして、溶銑をインペラで撹拌させながら石灰等を投入する撹拌式脱硫装置があり、脱硫効率が高いことから活用されている。

しかし、差し渡し1.5mの巨大な翼を有するインペラを最高で150rpmに及ぶ回転数で溶銑を撹拌する撹拌式脱硫装置においては、インペラの損耗による振動発生や回転変動等の回転異常で振動が発生する。この振動を許容すると設備寿命及びインペラの耐火物部分の寿命が短命になるため、インペラ駆動装置をガイドに押し付け、固定した状態で通常運転されている。また、インペラの溶銑を撹拌する部分は耐火物からなるものであるが、インペラ芯部を形成する鉄軸の金属露出部分やこれに連結される鉄製の駆動シャフトは400℃以上に加熱されるために、高温での繰り返し疲労による材質の劣化が著しい。そのため、しばしば装置を停止して点検、補修、部品交換等をしなければならない。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
脱硫効率を向上させるにはインペラの損耗状況、スラグの性状、渦の状況等を観察しながらインペラの浸漬深さを調整して適切な撹拌を行うことが肝要である。しかしながら、上記提案の装置では、押し具で撹拌機がガイド上に固定され、インペラの浸漬深さを変えることができない。そのため、インペラの浸漬深さ調整の都度インペラの回転を止めまたは回転を著しく落としてその浸漬深さを調整し、しかる後に操業を再開しなければならず、操作性が悪いという問題がある。

また、上記提案ではインペラの鉄軸の金属露出部分やこれに連結される駆動シャフトが高温に加熱されるという問題が解決されておらず、そのためにかなりの頻度で装置を停止して点検・補修をし、またインペラの鉄軸の交換をしなければならない。

本発明は上記問題に鑑み、撹拌機やガイドに作用する衝撃負荷の低減を図るとともに撹拌中でも自在にインペラの浸漬深さの調整ができ、さらに、インペラの鉄軸の金属露出部分やこれに連結される駆動シャフトの冷却を効果的に行うことができる撹拌式脱硫装置を提案することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明に係る撹拌式脱硫装置は、インペラ駆動装置を格納するキャリッジ、該キャリッジ下方に延伸する駆動シャフト及び該駆動シャフトに連結され溶融金属を撹拌するインペラを有する撹拌機と、該撹拌機を浴面に対して上昇下降させる昇降装置と、前記撹拌機の昇降を案内するガイドとからなる撹拌式脱硫装置において、前記キャリッジにガイド上を転動する押し具付きローラを具備してなる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明を図面を参照して具体的に説明する。図1は本発明の1実施例に係る撹拌式脱硫装置の概要を示す正面図である。撹拌式脱硫装置1は、従来装置と同様に、溶銑41を満たした溶銑鍋40を挟んで立設されたガイド2と、溶銑鍋40にのぞんで溶銑の撹拌を行う撹拌機3と、撹拌機3をガイド2に沿って昇降させる昇降装置35とによって構成されている。

【発明の効果】
本発明による撹拌式脱硫装置は、撹拌機に作用する衝撃負荷を低減するとともに、必要に応じてインペラの浸漬深さを調整することができる。これにより、1チャージ当たりの脱硫処理時間を、従来20分かかったものを15分以下にすることができ、また、脱硫剤原単位を15%以上低減することができる。さらに、噴霧冷却により、インペラの鉄軸温度を300℃以下にすることができ、鉄軸の寿命を2000チャージから5000チャージ以上に延ばすことができる。
