Abstract
Description
【0001】

【0023】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus that ensures security of print data and has high use efficiency, and an authentication printing system using the image forming apparatus.
[0002]
[Prior art]
At present, with the progress of networking, there is a demand for sharing an image forming apparatus (for example, a printer). In such a case, the image forming apparatus is required to have security and high use efficiency. In the related art, print data transmitted from another information device connected to a network is shared with a shared image forming apparatus so that an output from a common image forming apparatus connected to the network cannot be seen by others. It is stored in the forming apparatus in advance.
[0003]
A configuration has been adopted in which a user goes to the place of the image forming apparatus, inputs a job ID and a password, and outputs (prints out) when the image forming apparatus authenticates the user with the password. Further, in order to increase the utilization efficiency, a method of managing the holding time of a job (job) has been adopted (for example, see Patent Document 1).
