従来、カウンタ−等に沿って無端状に形成されている商品搬送用の循環型コンベア路を設け、このコンベア路に、商品、例えば鮨等の飲食物を盛り付けた皿等の飲食容器を載置して搬送する循環搬送型の飲食供給装置は、飲食客や調理人が移動することなく飲食或いは調理することができ、更に飲食客は席にいながらにして自分の所望する商品を選びながら飲食できることから広く使用されている。

上記したような循環搬送型の飲食カウンタ−においては、客はコンベア路を搬送されてくる飲食物から好みの飲食物を選択して取り出すため、搬送路上の所定の飲食物の数量が減少してしまい、客に遂次十分なサ−ビスを提供することができなくなる。
