Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is useful for abrasion resistance, slip resistance, and seizure resistance, which is useful as a roll for transport used in the rolling and refining process of a metal plate, particularly a hot runtable roller for a hot rolling mill for producing a hot-rolled steel sheet. Regarding excellent transport rolls.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as a hot run table roller in a hot rolling plant, a 1.3% C-13% Cr-based cast iron-based casting roller, a 0.3% C-13% Cr-based overlay roller, and the like have been used. .
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
It has been pointed out that cast iron rollers have a high tendency to corrode due to a fountain in the rolling process, probably because the metal structure contains a large amount of chromium carbide. . In addition, the 0.3% C-13% Cr based overlay roller has good wear resistance, but has a problem of seizure.
[0004]
Ni-Cr-B-Si-based coatings were also used as self-fluxing alloy coatings, but slipping occurred during high-speed rolling operations, and slip scratches were often generated on product steel sheets. For this purpose, it has been necessary to prevent slippage by improving the coefficient of friction, but at present it cannot be said that sufficient results have been achieved.
[0005]
As a hot run table roller in a hot rolling mill, since a red-heated steel sheet travels at a high speed of several tens of meters / second, it is necessary to first have high wear resistance, particularly high wear resistance to the red-heated steel sheet.
Secondly, it is necessary that the running speed of the glowing steel plate to be coiled and the surface speed of the roll match each other so as not to make a surface scratch on the product steel plate. For this purpose, the roll must have high slip resistance. That is, it is desirable that the dynamic friction coefficient of the roll surface is high.
[0006]
Third, since the steel plate scale or the like adheres to the roll surface to cause build-up, which also causes the steel plate surface to be damaged, the roll material must have excellent seizure resistance.
Fourth, since the table roller is exposed to a fountain for descaling and cooling the steel sheet, the table roller needs to be made of a material having excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance.
[0007]
Of course, it is desirable that the material be lightweight in order to reduce the roll driving force and improve the followability to the running steel sheet.
The present invention solves the above-mentioned problems in the prior art, and provides a transport roll excellent in abrasion resistance, slip resistance, and seizure resistance, which is useful as a hot runtable roller in a hot rolling mill for producing a hot-rolled steel sheet. It is aimed at.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the present inventors have conducted intensive research and found that a structure in which a self-fluxing alloy sprayed coating having a specific composition is formed on the roll surface is effective, and completed the present invention. Was.
[0009]
The present invention made on the basis of the above-mentioned findings is as follows: C: 0.3-1.5%, Si: 2.5-4.5%, Cr: 2-24%, B: 2-4. 5%, Fe: 4 to 30%, balance Ni or Co, one or both of them, and a self-fluxing alloy deposited metal layer composed of unavoidable impurities formed on the roll surface, and has excellent wear resistance, slip resistance, and seizure resistance. The role is for the gist.
[0010]
Further, the present invention provides a method in which the self-fluxing alloy deposited metal layer further contains one or more of Mo and Cu in an amount of 5% by mass or less, and the self-fluxed alloy deposited metal layer further contains 1 to 15% by mass of W. A transport roll excellent in abrasion resistance, slip resistance and seizure resistance is also a gist of the invention.
[0011]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
The configuration and operation of the present invention will be described.
The self-fluxing alloy deposited layer on the surface of the transport roll of the present invention is formed by thermal spraying. The chemical composition range of the self-fluxing alloy deposited layer has been determined with reference to JIS H8303 and three to five basic components.
[0012]
The chemical composition range of the self-fluxing alloy deposited layer on the surface of the transport roll of the present invention is as follows: C: 0.3 to 1.5%, Si: 2.5 to 4.5%, Cr: 2 to 24% by mass%. , B: 2 to 4.5%, Fe: 4 to 30%, and the balance is composed of one or both of Ni and Co and unavoidable impurities. Further, one or more of Mo and Cu may be contained at 5% by mass or less and W may be contained at 1 to 15% by mass.
[0013]
Among the above components, C, Si, and B impart self-solubility. If the content of Si or B is less than the lower limit, the melting temperature at the time of reheating becomes too high, and if the content exceeds the upper limit, the strength and ductility of the film decrease. C determines the hardness of the formed film, and it has been confirmed that when C is contained in an amount of 0.3% or more in order to enhance the wear resistance of the film, it is favorable. However, the addition of more than 1.5% is not necessary, which is not preferable from the viewpoint of the melting temperature.
[0014]
Ni, Cr and Co form an austenite phase as a matrix structure of the coating metal, and the respective composition ranges are determined from the viewpoint of corrosion resistance, heat resistance and wear resistance. If the composition range is less than the above range, these properties are inferior. If the composition range is exceeded, the hot cracking susceptibility and the like become large, so the upper limit is limited. The amount of C has been selected in consideration in parallel with the amount of Ni, Cr, and Co because of interaction.
[0015]
The addition of Fe is a great feature of the self-fluxing alloy used in the present invention, and is added by 4 to 30%. It was confirmed that by adding JIS standard value of 4 to 5% or more, seizure to the film was remarkably improved, the friction coefficient at high temperature was increased, and the slip between the steel sheet and the roll was reduced. However, if added in a large amount, oxidation by the Fe component is recognized, so the upper limit was made 30%.
[0016]
The addition of Mo of 5% or less and W1 to 15% is for increasing the abrasion resistance. When the addition amount is large, all of them produce carbides and exhibit the effect. However, if it exceeds the upper limit, the ductility and toughness of the self-fluxing alloy decrease. Mo also has the effect of improving high-temperature strength and improving heat resistance.
[0017]
The addition of Cu is for improving the corrosion resistance. Particularly in the case of a Ni-based self-fluxing alloy, the solid solution of Cu in the matrix phase has a large effect of improving the corrosion resistance. However, if added in excess of the upper limit, high-temperature microcracking occurs in the coating, resulting in reduced ductility.
[0018]
The formation of the coating by thermal spraying may be any of a gas thermal spraying method, a high-speed gas thermal spraying method, and a plasma thermal spraying method, and the surface state can be smoothed by performing a re-melting treatment by fusing. The thickness of the film to be formed may be about 1.5 mm, and need not be particularly thick. Needless to say, shot blasting of the roll surface and polishing after remelting treatment performed before thermal spraying are performed as a normal process.
[0019]
【Example】
Examples of the transport roll of the present invention will be described, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0020]
[Table 1]
Figure 2004167599
[0021]
Using a thermal spraying powder as a welding alloy component shown in Table 1, a gas spraying method was used to perform a thermal spraying of 1.5 mm thickness on the surface of a 28 mmφ × 40 mm × 70 mm rod-shaped SS400 sample, followed by re-melting at approximately 1050 ° C. with a gas burner. Processing was performed. Then, for a sample finished to a diameter of 30 mm by polishing, measurement of Shore hardness and abrasion amount as a measure of wear resistance, measurement of friction coefficient for slip property measurement, seizure test by friction, 500 ° C heating → water cooling repeated method A salt spray test according to JIS Z 2371 was conducted to determine the thermal shock resistance and check the corrosion resistance by a heat check test.
[0022]
The measurement of the amount of wear, the measurement of the coefficient of friction, and the seizure test were performed using the test apparatus shown in FIG. 1 under the test conditions shown in Table 2. The results are as shown in Table 3.
[0023]
[Table 2]
Figure 2004167599
[0024]
In Table 2, in the seizure test and the friction coefficient measurement, there is only a difference of 150 rpm in the rotation speed, and there is a remarkable difference in the test time. The exact reason is unknown, but this is The increase is related to the rate of frictional heat generation between the test pieces, and it is presumed that there is a critical condition in which seizure occurs between the rotation speeds (500 to 650 rpm) in the used test pieces.
[0025]
[Table 3]
Figure 2004167599
[0026]
From the above results, the present invention example No. It can be seen that 1 to 5 are excellent overall. In addition, No. of a comparative example. No. 6 is also a self-fluxing alloy spray, but no Fe is blended. No. 7 is a sample which was overlaid on SS400. Numeral 8 is an example of a cast iron cast in a sample shape in a sand mold to simulate a conventional roll.
[0027]
Further, in order to confirm the superiority of the present invention with a factory roll in actual operation, No. 1 in Table 1 was added to a hot run table of a hot rolling mill at N Steel Works. No. 1 type roll and No. 1 which has been frequently used as a comparative material. Eight types of casting rolls were compared. It can be seen that the wear amount (diameter reduction) after 41 months of operation is extremely small in the example of the present invention. Table 4 shows the results.
[0028]
Figure 2004167599
[0029]
【The invention's effect】
Since the present invention is configured as described above, there is no occurrence of seizure, bruise, etc., no need for grinder care at the time of periodic repair, and the amount of wear is as small as 0.15 mmφ / year. The height level of the roll is almost unchanged, stable threading operability is obtained, the level adjustment work is almost unnecessary, and the roll shell thickness is reduced to reduce the roll weight by about 100 kg, resulting in an energy saving effect. It has been confirmed that it is extremely useful industrially.
