Abstract
【解決手段】体内の目標位置に向けて挿入される開口遠位端とシード装填装置に接続される近位端とを有する少なくとも1つの細長中空針10と、少なくとも1つの押込要素40と、少なくとも1つの開口端を有する少なくとも1つのチューブ状要素20と、少なくとも1つのチューブ状スリーブ部材30とを備え、前記チューブ状要素は前記放射性シード及び非放射性スペーサの列を収容するのに用いられる。

Claims (18)
- X∈[1,2,・・・]及びY∈[0,1,・・・]として、動物体内の癌組織の放射線治療を行うために体内の目標位置に目標構成でX個の放射性シード及びY個の非放射性スペーサの列を少なくとも1列埋め込むための装置であり、
a) 体内の前記目標位置に向けて挿入される開口遠位端とシード装填装置に接続される近位端とを有する少なくとも1つの細長中空針と、
b) 細長中空針の引き抜き時に前記放射性シード及び非放射性スペーサの列を前記シード装填装置から前記中空針を介して前記位置に埋め込むための少なくとも1つの押込要素とを備える埋込装置において、
前記埋込装置は更に、
c) 前記中空針を介して前記目標位置に挿入される少なくとも1つの開口端を有する少なくとも1つのチューブ状要素と、
d) 前記中空針を介して前記チューブ状要素を前記目標位置に挿入するための開口遠位端及び開口近位端を有する少なくとも1つのチューブ状スリーブ部材とを備え、
前記チューブ状要素は前記放射性シード及び非放射性スペーサの列を収容するのに用いられることを特徴とする埋込装置。 - 前記チューブ状要素は、前記放射性シード及び非放射性スペーサの列の挿入前に前記中空針に挿入される請求項1に記載の埋込装置。
- 前記押込要素は剛性押込ロッドとして構成される請求項1又は2に記載の埋込装置。
- 前記押込要素はシード装填装置の駆動ワイヤとして構成される請求項1又は2に記載の埋込装置。
- 前記チューブ状スリーブ部材はその近位端にストッパ要素を備える先行請求項のいずれか1つに記載の埋込装置。
- 前記ストッパ要素はディスク状端板として構成される請求項5に記載の埋込装置。
- 前記チューブ状スリーブ部材及びチューブ状要素の外法寸法は前記中空針の内法寸法に等しい又は僅かに小さい先行請求項のいずれか1つに記載の埋込装置。
- 前記チューブ状スリーブ部材及びチューブ状要素の内法寸法が前記放射性シード及び非放射性スペーサの外法寸法に等しい又は僅かに大きい先行請求項のいずれか1つに記載の埋込装置。
- チューブ状要素の長さをl、個々のシード・スペーサの長さをs、中空針の長さをL、チューブ状スペーサ部材の長さをSとするとき、
l≧(X+Y)s かつ S≦(L−1)
である先行請求項のいずれか1つに記載の埋込装置。 - 前記チューブ状要素が生体吸収性材料からなる先行請求項のいずれか1つに記載の埋込装置。
- 前記チューブ状要素が2つの開口端を有する請求項1〜10のいずれか1つに記載の埋込装置。
- 前記チューブ状要素が1つの閉鎖端、より詳細には1つの閉鎖遠位端を有する請求項1〜10のいずれか1つに記載の埋込装置。
- 前記チューブ状要素が、中空針への挿入前には長円形横断面を持ち、中空針内に挿入されると円形横断面を持つ請求項1〜12に記載の埋込装置。
- 前記チューブ状要素が円形横断面を持つ請求項1〜13に記載の埋込装置。
- 前記チューブ状要素が、放射性シード及び非放射性スペーサの列に内側方向への力を加えるために可撓性材料からなる先行請求項のいずれか1つに記載の埋込装置。
- 前記チューブ状要素の少なくとも開口近位端が折り畳み式である先行請求項のいずれか1つに記載の埋込装置。
- 本発明による埋込装置を備えたシード装填装置。
- X∈[1,2,・・・]及びY∈[0,1,・・・]として、目標構成にあるX個の放射性シード及びY個の非放射性スペーサの列において、前記シード及びスペーサが本発明によるチューブ状要素に収容されるシード・スペーサ列。
