【発明の属する技術分野】
この発明は、例えば70Lや90L等の大容量のゴミ容器を複数個横方向に並べて連結することにより、複数種類のゴミを分別しながら収集することができるように構成された分別収集容器に関するものである。より詳しくは、ゴミ容器同士を連結するための軽量化された連結部材をゴミ容器とは別体で設けることにより、分別収集されたゴミの回収作業を著しく容易に行うことができるように構成された分別収集容器に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来より、この種の分別収集容器としては、上端部にゴミ挿入部が設けられた複数個のゴミ収容部材と、それらゴミ収容部材を載置するためのゴミ運搬台車とから構成され、ゴミを収容して運搬することができるように構成されたゴミ容器が知られている(特許文献1参照)。前記ゴミ運搬台車は、合成樹脂により一体形成された載置台と、その載置台の下面に設けられた移動用車輪とを備えているうえ、前記載置台の上面にはゴミ収容部材の底部を載置するための載置部が設けられている。さらに、前記載置部の周縁にはゴミ収容部材の下端部と当接可能に構成された横ずれ防止壁が立設されており、載置部上に載置されたゴミ収容部材の横ずれを防止するようになっている。

そして、このゴミ容器では、ゴミ運搬台車の各載置部の周縁に横ずれ防止壁が立設されていることから、載置台上に載置されたゴミ収容部材の横ずれ及び転倒を防止して、ゴミを容易かつ安定に運搬することができるようになっている。さらに、このゴミ容器では、各ゴミ収容部材とゴミ運搬台車とが分離可能に構成されていることから、ゴミが収容されているゴミ収容部材のみを持ち上げてひっくり返すことにより、ゴミの移し替え作業(回収作業)を容易に行うことができるようになっている。

一方、その他の分別収集容器としては、上部開口を有する一対のゴミ箱本体と、これらの各ゴミ箱本体を並べた状態で各ゴミ箱本体の上部に一体的に嵌合装着される蓋体とを備えたゴミ箱も知られている(特許文献2参照)。このゴミ箱では、前記蓋体に各ゴミ箱本体内部と個々に連通する一対の開口部が形成されているうえ、これらの開口部が揺動可能な単位蓋により個々に開閉自在とされている。さらに、このゴミ箱においては、上記各ゴミ箱本体が同一形状を有しているうえ、各ゴミ箱本体の裏面部には係合突部が形成され、上記蓋体の裏面部には一対の挟持突部が備えられている。さらに、このゴミ箱本体同士は、裏面において各ゴミ箱本体の各係合突部に亘って連結ベルトが装着されるとともに、上部において上記蓋体の一対の挟持突部により各ゴミ箱本体の互いに当接する上部開口縁部同士が挟持されることにより連結されるようになっている。そして、このゴミ箱では、同一形状の一対のゴミ箱本体同士を強固に連結することができる一方で、必要に応じてそれらを分割することができるようになっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが、前記従来のゴミ容器では、各ゴミ収容部材がゴミ運搬台車の載置台上に載置されているのみであったことから、手指その他の接触や強風等により載置台上からゴミ収容部材が転倒するおそれが極めて高かった。さらに、このゴミ運搬台車の載置台上に立設された横ずれ防止壁は、その高さが低い場合にはゴミ収容部材の転倒に対する防止効果が低く、逆に高い場合にはゴミの回収作業を行う際にゴミ収容部材を高い位置まで持ち上げる必要があったことから作業性が悪かった。

一方、前記従来のゴミ箱では、一対のゴミ箱本体の裏面に装着されている連結ベルトを各係合凸部から脱着する作業を行って、左右のゴミ箱本体をそれぞれ別々に分割した後、各ゴミ箱本体内のゴミをそれぞれ移し替えて回収する必要があった。このとき、このゴミ箱では、収容されているゴミが散乱しないように気を付けながら、両ゴミ箱本体を前方又は後方に傾斜させるか、或いは両ゴミ箱全体を上方に高く持ち上げて連結ベルトを各係合凸部から脱着する作業を行う必要があったことから、その作業を行う際の作業性は極めて悪かった。特に、嵩高いゴミ箱や重量の大きなゴミ箱においては、前記脱着作業を行うことが実質的に不可能なケースが多かった。

この発明は、上記のような従来技術に存在する問題点に着目してなされたものである。その目的とするところは、複数個のゴミ容器を横方向に並べて連結することにより転倒しにくくすることができるとともに、各ゴミ容器内に収集されたゴミの回収作業を容易に行うことができるように構成された分別収集容器を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の目的を達成するために、請求項1に記載の発明の分別収集容器は、複数種類のゴミを分別しながら収集するための分別収集容器であって、複数個のゴミ容器と、それらゴミ容器を横方向に並べて連結するための連結部材とを備え、前記ゴミ容器は、有底筒状に形成された収容部材と、その収容部材の上端部に設けられる上蓋部材とを備え、前記連結部材は前記ゴミ容器とは別体で構成されるとともに、前記上蓋部材と連結部材との間には、隣接して配置された一対の上蓋部材間の境界部に前記連結部材を係脱可能となるように係合させて両上蓋部材同士を連結するように構成された係止手段を設けたことを特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、この発明を具体化した実施形態を図面に基づいて詳細に説明する。
図1に示すように、実施形態の分別収集容器11は、左右に並べて配置された2個のゴミ容器12と、それらゴミ容器12同士を連結するための連結部材13とを備えている。この分別収集容器11は、例えば、病院の廊下や待合室、展示場等の多くの人々が利用する比較的広くて平坦な路面又は床面上に設置されて利用され、それらの場所で捨てられるゴミを一時的に収容する。また、この分別収集容器11内に一時的に収容された各種のゴミは、別の場所に特設された大容量のゴミ収集容器等に適時移し替えながら回収されるようになっている。

図1〜図3に示すように、ゴミ容器12は、合成樹脂により有底長四角筒状に形成された収容部材21と、その収容部材21の上部開口部を係脱可能に閉鎖する合成樹脂製の上蓋部材22とから長四角箱状に形成されている。収容部材21は、その内部にゴミを収容するための収容空間が形成されているうえ、その上端部(上部開口部)には断面逆L字状に形成された上部周縁フランジ23が外側方に延びるように突設されている。

上蓋部材22は、長四角板状に形成された上壁31と、その上壁31の周縁から垂下された前壁32、後壁33及びテーパ面を構成する左右一対の側壁34とを備えた略有蓋長四角筒状に形成されている。これら対向する各一対の前壁32及び後壁33、並びに左右一対の側壁34は、いずれも上方ほど狭まるテーパ形状に形成されている。また、前壁32の中央部には、ゴミ容器12内にゴミを挿入するためのゴミ挿入部としてのゴミ挿入孔35が開口されている。なお、この分別収集容器11において、左右の上蓋部材22に設けられたゴミ挿入孔35の周囲に位置する前壁32の形状及び色彩は互いに異なっており、内部に挿入すべきゴミの種類が外部から容易に判別できるようになっている。

この上蓋部材22の下端部には、前記収容部材21の上部周縁フランジ23に外嵌するように構成された下部周縁フランジ36が設けられている。この下部周縁フランジ36は、前記前壁32、後壁33及び左右の側壁34の下端縁から外側方に延びるように突設された逆L字状となるように形成されているうえ、前記上部周縁フランジ23の上面及び外側面に当接するように構成されている。また、この下部周縁フランジ36の前後両端部中央には、下部周縁フランジ36の上端部に回動可能となるように軸着された前後一対の回動部材37が設けられている。これら回動部材37は、合成樹脂により側面逆L字状に形成されているうえ、その先端部裏面には前記上部周縁フランジ23の下端縁と係合するように構成された掛合突条37aが突設されている。

上蓋部材22の左右両側部には、平断面コ字状となるように形成された係止手段及び係止部を構成する左右一対の係止枠部41が設けられているうえ、その係止枠部41の内部には係止手段を構成する係止部としての係止孔42が上方に開口するように設けられている。この係止枠部41は、側壁34の下端部中央外側面から外側方に延びるように突設された前後一対の側部板41aと、それら両側部板41aの先端部間を前後方向に繋ぐ端部板41bとから構成されている。さらに、これら側部板41a及び端部板41bは、いずれも下部周縁フランジ36の上面から上方(真上)に延びるように立設されている。なお、図2(b)に示すように、前記端部板41bは、下部周縁フランジ36の外端部よりも僅かに内方に位置するように配置されている。また、前記端部板41bの下端部には、抜止め手段を構成する抜止め孔43が前後方向に延びる長孔状(溝状)に貫設されている。

図4(a)〜(d)に示すように、連結部材13は、合成樹脂(ポリプロピレン)により一体成形されている。この連結部材13は、水平面に沿って延びる四角板状の連結板51と、その連結板51の上面中央部に突設された把持部52と、同連結板51の下面に設けられた係止手段及び係合部としての左右一対の係合凸部53とを備えている。把持部52は、その中央部に正面円形状の把持孔52aが貫設された略円環状に形成されている。

上記分別収集容器11の作用について以下に記載する。
図1及び図3に示すように、この組立て状態の分別収集容器11は、2個のゴミ容器12を連結部材13により左右に並べて連結することにより、2種類のゴミを分別しながら収集することができるように構成されている。この分別収集容器11では、各ゴミ容器12を構成する収容部材21と上蓋部材22とが回動部材37を介して上下に連結されているうえ、左右のゴミ容器12同士が連結部材13を介して左右に連結されており、全体として一体化されている。このため、この分別収集容器11は、使用時に手指等が接触したり、強風に煽られたりした場合でも容易に転倒したりしない。

図5(c)に示すように、この分別収集容器11において、左右のゴミ容器12は、上蓋部材22の対向する係止孔42内に連結部材13の両係合凸部53を嵌入することによって連結されている。このとき、連結部材13の垂下板56の内側面全体は上蓋部材22の端部板41bの内側面と当接され、同連結部材13の側部係合板57bの外側面上端部は上蓋部材22の側壁34の外側面と当接されている。また、連結部材13の下部係合板57aの下面は、係止孔42の奥部に位置する下部周縁フランジ36の上面に当接されている。さらに、連結部材13の抜止め突条59は、上蓋部材22の抜止め孔43内に係入されており、連結部材13が両係止孔42内から抜止め係止されている。その結果、左右に並んで配置された両上蓋部材22(ゴミ容器12)同士は、連結部材13を介して安定かつ強固に連結固定されている。

一方、図3に示されるように、この組立て状態の分別収集容器11において、連結部材13の連結板51は、分別収集容器11の中央部に位置する左右一対の係止枠部41の上面全体を被覆しており、雨水やゴミ等が係止孔42内に浸入するのを極めて効果的に防止している。また、この分別収集容器11の左右両側部に位置する左右の係止枠部41の下端部には、抜止め孔43が外側方に向かって開口されており、浸入した雨水等を容易に排出することができるようになっている。さらに、各ゴミ容器12において、収容部材21の上端部(上部周縁フランジ23)に上蓋部材22の下部周縁フランジ36が外嵌されていることから、両部材21,22間の隙間から収容部材21内に雨水等が浸入して内部のゴミが水浸しになるおそれがない。

さて、この組立て状態の分別収集容器11内に一時的に収容されているゴミを別の収集容器やゴミ収集用車両等に移し替えて回収する際には、連結部材13により連結されている左右のゴミ容器12を分離した後、各ゴミ容器12内に収容されているゴミをそれぞれ個別に移し替えることによって行われる。前記左右のゴミ容器12を分離する際には、分別収集容器11の中央部に位置する連結部材13の把持孔52a内に手指を引掛けた状態で、その連結部材13を上方に引張ることによって行われる。

このとき、図5(c)に示される連結部材13下端部の各係合凸部53は、その上端部に位置する垂下板56の基端部が僅かに外側方に弾性変形することにより、同係合凸部53下端部の抜止め突条59が係止枠部41の抜止め孔43内から抜出されて図5(b)に示される状態になる。続いて、図5(a)に示されるように、前記抜止め突条59の先端部が端部板41bの内側面に摺接しながら連結部材13が上方に引き上げられ、両上蓋部材22と連結部材13との連結状態が解除される。そして、この連結解除によって分離された各ゴミ容器12の前後の回動部材37を上方に回動させて収容部材21と上蓋部材22との間の係止状態を解除した後、各ゴミ容器12の収容部材21を上方に引き上げて上下逆にひっくり返すことにより、内部に収容されていたゴミが排出される。

次に、前記ゴミを排出し終えた収容部材21の上端部に上蓋部材22を外嵌させて回動部材37により各ゴミ容器12を組立てて一体化させた後、各ゴミ容器12の側部同士を前後に揃えて密着させる。続いて、これら左右のゴミ容器12の境界部に位置する対向する一対の係止孔42内に連結部材13の左右の係合凸部53を押し込むことにより、各係止孔42内に係合凸部53が係入されて両ゴミ容器12が横に並べられた状態で連結固定される。

このとき、連結部材13の各係合凸部53は、その下端部に設けられた抜止め突条59が端部板41bの内側面と当接されることにより、同係合凸部53の垂下板56の基端部が僅かに外側方に弾性変形して図5(a)に示される状態になる。続いて、図5(b)に示されるように、前記抜止め突条59の先端部を端部板41bの内側面に沿って摺接させながら、係合凸部53を係止孔42の奥部まで押し込む。その結果、図5(c)に示されるように、前記抜止め突条59が抜止め孔43内に係入されるとともに、前記垂下板56基端部の弾性変形が解消され、各係合凸部53が係止孔42内に(上下方向に)抜止め係止される。

一方、この分別収集容器11では、その一側部又は両側部に、別の連結部材13を介して別のゴミ容器12を全く同様に連結固定することができるように構成されており、目的や用途に合わせて任意の個数のゴミ容器12を横方向に並べて配置させることができる。また、この分別収集容器11では、横方向に並べられた複数個のゴミ容器12の並べ方(並び順)を任意に変更することもできるようになっている。

このため、この分別収集容器11では、複数個のゴミ容器12が横方向に並んで連結固定されていることから、前記従来のゴミ容器に設けられたゴミ収容部材と比較して、著しく転倒しにくくなっている。即ち、この分別収集容器11では、地面又は床面と当接する面積がゴミ容器12の個数に比例して大きくなる。さらに、隣接するゴミ容器12の側部同士が上部又はほぼ中央高さの1点で、弾性変形可能な連結部材13により互いに僅かに揺動可能となるように連結されていることから、一方のゴミ容器12が転倒しそうになったときに他方のゴミ容器12がその転倒を防止するように作用する。特に、この分別収集容器11では、各ゴミ容器12の底面がその前後両端縁よりも左右両側縁が長い長四角形状に形成されていることから、転倒防止効果は極めて高くなっている。従って、この分別収集容器11では、著しく転倒しにくくなっているうえ、転倒に伴うゴミ容器12内のゴミの散乱を容易かつ確実に防止することができる。

さらに、この分別収集容器11では、連結部材13を上方に引き抜くのみで隣接するゴミ容器12同士を分離することができるとともに、連結部材13を左右のゴミ容器12の係止孔42内に挿入するのみで両ゴミ容器12同士を連結固定することができるように構成されている。このため、この分別収集容器11では、隣接する一対のゴミ容器12を地面又は床面上に載置した状態のままでほとんど動かすことなく、それらゴミ容器12同士を分離及び連結することができる。従って、この分別収集容器11では、前記従来のゴミ箱の場合のように、左右のゴミ箱本体の底面を持ち上げながら連結ベルトを各係合凸部から脱着させる必要がない。
