Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical PET bottle crushing apparatus which is capable of easily and continuously crushing a large amount of PET bottles, and reliably and easily reducing the volume thereof, small in crushing resistance, capable of using a drive means of low output, easy in post-treatment, capable of easily and reliably forming a plurality of cut holes, simple in configuration, excellent in durability, less in wear, easy in maintenance, compact and small in installation area, easily handled, and capable of reducing the cost. <P>SOLUTION: This crushing device comprises a base frame A, a pair of cutting and crushing rollers B and a drive means. The cutting and crushing rollers B comprise a drive shaft 10 and a plurality of cutting blades 11. The plurality of cutting blades 11 are disposed through adjacent blade spaces so that the cutting blade 11 of one cutting and crushing roller B2 faces the adjacent blade space of the other cutting and crushing roller B1. 【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、例えば、高速道路のパーキングエリアやコンビニ等にある自動販売機の近くに設置され、多量の使用済みペットボトルを簡単に圧潰できて、その減容処理が確実に且つ低コストで行えるように工夫したペットボトル用圧潰装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、この種のペットボトル用圧潰装置としては種々のものが提供されており、例えば、一対の圧潰ローラを適宜駆動手段によって回転せしめ、この一対の圧潰ローラの間にペットボトルを入れ、ローラの圧力によってペットボトルを圧潰するように構成されたものが多く提供されている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。
更に、円板状の刃が交互に噛み合わされた一対の回転カッターによって、ペットボトルを挟み込むと共に、複数条の切断片に切断処理できるようなものも開示されている(例えば、特許文献2参照)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが、従来の圧潰手段にあっては、以下のような問題点があった。
すなわち、一対の圧潰ローラ間でペットボトルを圧潰するように構成されたものは、一対の圧潰ローラを駆動回転せしめるための駆動手段に於いて比較的高出力のものを利用しなければならず、装置自体が大きくなると共に、コストが高くなる等の難点があった。
また、一対の圧潰ローラによって、ペットボトルの本体部分より硬い口部や口部に付けられたままの蓋を圧潰するため、圧潰ローラ自体が損耗し易く、比較的頻繁にメンテナンスを行う必要が生じる等の難点もあった。
更に、円板状の刃が交互に噛み合わされた一対の回転カッターによって、ペットボトルを挟み込むと共に、複数条の切断片に切断処理できるように構成したものにあっては、上記のような難点に加え、切断処理された複数条の切断片自体が意外に取扱い難いものとなり、後の処理が行い難い等の難点もあった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
しかして、本発明は、少なくとも前述の如き難点等を解消できるようにするのは勿論のこと、多量の使用済みペットボトルを簡単に且つ連続的に圧潰でき、減容処理が確実に且つ簡単に行え、圧潰抵抗が小さく、低出力の駆動手段を利用でき、弾性復元力によって圧潰されたペットボトルが膨らむようなことがなく、圧潰されたペットボトルの後の処理が行い易く、ペットボトル内の空気がスムーズに抜け、しかも、構成が簡素で、耐久性に優れ、損耗が少なく、メンテナンスが容易で、小型コンパクトに構成でき、設置場所が小さくて済み、設置し易く、取扱い易く、装置自体のコストを低減でき、経済的な圧潰装置を提供すべく創出されたもので、請求項1記載のペットボトル用圧潰装置にあっては、使用済みペットボトルを圧潰できるようにしたペットボトル用圧潰装置であって、上部に投入部1が設けられている基枠Aと、この基枠A内に回転自在に軸架されると共に略平行に配される一対の切込圧潰ローラBと、この一対の切込圧潰ローラB夫々を所定向きに回転せしめる適宜駆動手段とを備え、切込圧潰ローラBは、駆動軸10と、この駆動軸10の軸心方向に沿って所定間隔に固定される複数の切込刃11とを備えた構成とし、この複数の切込刃11は、その刃厚に対してかなり大きく設定される隣設刃空間を介して配され、一対の切込圧潰ローラBは、一方の切込圧潰ローラB1に於ける隣設刃空間に、他方の切込圧潰ローラB2の切込刃11が臨むように配され、切込圧潰ローラBの切込刃11の外周縁には、円周方向に沿って所定間隔に配される複数の突出刃部12を設け、この突出刃部12によって、ペットボトルの本体部分に複数の切込孔を設けられるようにすると共に、切込刃11の外周縁部分で、ペットボトルの本体部分を圧潰できるように構成する手段を採用した。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明を図示例に基づいて説明すると、次の通りである。
本発明は、例えば、高速道路のパーキングエリアや、コンビニ等のように自動販売機が数多く設置されているような場所や、ペットボトルの収集場所や、その他の適宜場所に簡単に設置できて、使用済みの多量のペットボトルを、簡単に且つ確実に圧潰でき、その減容処理が確実に行え、しかも、装置自体の低コスト化が図れるようにしたペットボトル用圧潰装置である。

具体的には、本発明のペットボトル用圧潰装置は、上部に投入部1が設けられている基枠Aと、この基枠A内に回転自在に軸架されると共に略平行に配される一対の切込圧潰ローラBと、この一対の切込圧潰ローラB夫々を所定向きに回転(巻込み回転)せしめる適宜駆動手段とを備えたものである。

更に、切込圧潰ローラBの切込刃11夫々の外周縁には、円周方向に沿って所定等間隔に配される複数の突出刃部12を設けてあり、この突出刃部12によって、ペットボトルの本体部分に複数の切込孔を簡単に設けられるように形成されている。
加えて、切込刃11の外周縁部分では、ペットボトルの本体部分を圧潰できるように構成されている。
すなわち、一対の切込圧潰ローラBによって、ペットボトルの本体部分に複数の切込孔を設けられるように構成すると共に、ペットボトルの本体部分を圧潰し、更に、これを下方に強制的に送給できるように構成されている。

前記基枠Aは、例えば、適宜型材や適宜板材等によって構成されており、この基枠A上部には、ペットボトルの投入部1が設けられている。
更に、投入部1の下方で且つ一対の切込圧潰ローラBの上方には、投入されたペットボトルが、一対の切込圧潰ローラBの間に確実に落下するように、傾斜案内板2が設けられている。しかも、この案内板2は、ペットボトルの長手方向と、一対の切込圧潰ローラBの回転中心線とが略平行となるように、ペットボトルを一対の切込圧潰ローラBの間に案内できるように構成されている。

尚、投入部1は、図1、図2、図5、図10、図11に示すように、上方からペットボトルを投入できるように構成したものであっても良いし、図7に示すように、正面がわからペットボトルを投入できるように構成したものであっても良いし、その他適宜自由に設定、変更できる。
また、ペットボトルは、その長手方向を横向き(水平状態にして)して投入できるように構成しても良いし、その長手方向を縦向き(鉛直状態にして)して投入できるように構成しても良い。

そして、基枠Aの近傍(或いは、基枠A内)には、一対の切込圧潰ローラBを相互に逆回転せしめるための適宜駆動手段が設けられており、この駆動手段は、駆動モータ5(例えば、ギャードモータ等)や、駆動モータ5の駆動軸の回転力を他方の切込圧潰ローラB2(或いは、一対の切込圧潰ローラB)に伝達するためのスプロケット、チェーン(或いは、歯車、その他)や、他方の切込圧潰ローラB2の回転力を、一方の切込圧潰ローラB1に伝達するための歯車(或いは、スプロケット、チェーン、その他)等によって構成されている。

ところで、安全上の問題や、外観上の体裁等を考慮して、基枠A自体が適宜ケーシング(例えば、側板、天板)等で覆われたように構成したものであっても良いし、或いは、適宜駆動手段や、歯車、スプロケット、チェーン等の適宜連繋手段等を含めて基枠A全体を適宜カバー等で覆うようにしても良い(図示せず)。

前記切込圧潰ローラBは、適宜軸受等によって基枠Aに回転自在に軸架される駆動軸10と、この駆動軸10に適宜間隔で配される複数の切込刃11とからなり、切込刃11の外周縁に設けた複数の略三角状突出刃部12によって、ペットボトルの本体部分に複数の切込孔を設けられるように構成されている。すなわち、ペットボトルの圧潰作業後に、ペットボトルの本体部分が、その弾性復元力によって僅かでも膨らむようなことがなく、更に、ペットボトルの圧潰処理が僅かな力で、よりスムーズに、且つ迅速に行えるように構成されている。
しかも、蓋が付けられているペットボトルを投入してしまったような場合であっても、突出刃部12による切込孔によって、ペットボトル内の空気がスムーズに抜けるように構成されている。加えて、突出刃部12は、切込孔を設けると共に、ペットボトルを下方に強制的に送給できるように構成されている。

駆動軸10は、例えば、適宜金属材によって構成され、長手方向中央部分が中空丸棒状に形成され、その両端寄り部分が軸受を介して基枠Aに回転自在に支持されている。

切込刃11は、例えば、適宜金属板材等によって形成したもので、その外周縁には、複数の略三角状の突出刃部12が所定間隔で突出するように構成されている。
ところで、切込刃11は、例えば、その厚みが略4.5〜6mm程度のものを使用したときは、隣設する切込刃11の間に設けられる隣設刃空間を、例えば、略35〜40mm程度に設定されるようになる。すなわち、ペットボトルの本体部分が、切込刃11夫々によって適宜間隔毎に圧迫されて、僅かな力で効率的に圧潰できるよう構成されている。
尚、切込刃11の厚みや、隣設刃空間の寸法等は、前記寸法に限定されるものではない。

また、一対の切込圧潰ローラBは、一方の切込圧潰ローラB1に於ける隣設刃空間夫々の中央部分に、他方の切込圧潰ローラB2の切込刃11夫々が臨むように配しても良いし(図2、図3、図6参照)、一方の切込圧潰ローラB1に於ける隣設刃空間夫々に、他方の切込圧潰ローラB2の二枚の切込刃11夫々が臨むように配しても良い(図4、図8、図9参照)。
しかも、一対の切込圧潰ローラBの軸間距離や、一方の切込圧潰ローラB1の切込刃11外周縁と、他方の切込圧潰ローラB2の切込刃11外周縁との距離等は、適宜自由に設定、変更でき、例えば、一方の切込圧潰ローラB1の切込刃11外周縁部分と、他方の切込圧潰ローラB2の切込刃11外周縁部分とが、回転中心線に沿った方向から見た時に、重なるように設定してあっても良いし、或いは、接するように設定してあっても良いし、或いは、離れるように設定してあっても良い。

ところで、前述のように一方の切込圧潰ローラB1に於ける切込刃11の外周縁部分の周速度と、他方の切込圧潰ローラB2に於ける切込刃11の外周縁部分の周速度とが異なるようにすることにより、ペットボトルの本体部分に長い切込孔を簡単に且つ確実に設けられることとなり、ひいては、切込孔が設けられたペットボトルの本体部分を、僅かな力で、より簡単に且つより確実に圧潰できることとなる。しかも、ペットボトルの本体部分の弾性復元力を大幅に低減できるようにもなる。

一対の切込圧潰ローラBは、図1、図5、図11に示すように、夫々の回転中心線が水平面内で揃うように配置したものであっても良いし、或いは、図7、図10に示すように、夫々の回転中心線が傾斜平面内で揃うように配置したものであっても良い。尚、一対の切込圧潰ローラB夫々の回転中心線が傾斜平面内で揃うように配置した場合は、この部分をよりコンパクトに構成できるようになり、装置自体の小型コンパクト化が図り易いものとなる。

尚、一対の圧潰ローラCは、なるべく一対の切込圧潰ローラBに接近した状態に配されるのが望ましく、一対の切込圧潰ローラBによって圧潰されたペットボトルを、確実に巻込んで、更に圧潰できるように構成される。

しかも、構成が簡素で、耐久性に優れ、切込圧潰ローラB自体の損耗が少なく、メンテナンスが容易で、装置自体を小型コンパクトに構成でき、設置場所が小さくて済み、取扱い易く、装置自体のコストを低減でき、経済的な圧潰装置となる。
