Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advertising information providing system and an advertising information providing method wherein money matter responsibilities concerning subscription fee of a TV receiver which viewed and listened to TV broadcasting of a paid TV broadcasting station can be reduced according to viewing and listening weight of CM. <P>SOLUTION: An exclusive receiver 9 receives broadcasting 3 of a public broadcasting station 4, stores a program of the broadcasting 3 in a storage device, receives CM 10 transmitted from a CM providing company 7, and stores the CM 10 in the storage device by making the CM 10 correspond to the program by the state capable of insertion. 本発明は広告情報の提供システムであって、有料テレビ放送番組にCM(Commercial Message)を挿入し、CMを視聴した契約ユーザに対しCM視聴料を支払うことにより契約ユーザの有料放送視聴に係わる金銭負担を軽減する広告情報提供システムに関する。

【従来の技術】
テレビジョン放送とは独立して放送されるCM(Commercial Message)をTV放送の途中に置換又は挿入して視聴者に視聴させる技術がある(例えば、特許文献1)。

また、放送プログラム(テレビ放送番組)中に広告を挿入して放送するデジタル放送における広告提供方法であって、受信した放送プログラム中の広告と予め記憶してある複数の広告とのなかから視聴者に適していると推定される広告を自動的に選択し、予め記憶してある広告を選択した場合は受信した広告を選択した広告で置換して選択した広告を出力するようにした技術がある(例えば、特許文献2)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
公共放送局、例えば日本放送協会はテレビジョン(以下、テレビ)受信装置の所有者と契約し、徴収した受信料を収入源として運営がなされている。つまり、公共放送局のテレビ放送番組は有料テレビ放送番組である。

これに対し、民間テレビ放送局各社はそのほとんどが他社企業からの番組提供料や広告料を収入源として運営しており、視聴者は番組の間に挿入されるCMを見る代わりに民間テレビ放送局に受信料を支払う必要がない。

ここで、公共放送局のような有料テレビ放送局の受信料の負担を実質的に軽減できれば有料テレビ放送局のテレビ放送番組の視聴率の向上が期待できる。

しかしながら、上記特許文献1には、テレビジョン放送とは独立して放送されるCMをテレビ放送の途中に置換又は挿入する技術及び番組の放送信号とCMのAV信号を判別する機能を有する受信装置を無料又は格安で視聴者に供与するようなサービスが実現可能であることは開示されているが、公共放送局のような有料テレビ放送番組の視聴者の受信料にかかわる経済的負担を軽減する方法については開示されていない。

また、特許文献2にはテレビ放送番組に挿入されている広告と予め記憶してある複数の広告を自動選択して再生可能とする技術およびこの技術により視聴者に適した広告を提供し、広告の効果をあげ得ることが開示されているが、上記特許文献1と同様に、公共放送局のような有料テレビ放送番組の視聴者の受信料にかかわる経済的負担を軽減する方法については開示されていない。

一方、上記未公開特許文献1に記載の発明によれば公共放送のように受信料を必要とする有料テレビ放送についてそのテレビ放送番組にCMを挿入した放送の受信を行うことを条件に受信者の受信料を肩代わりするのでCM付番組送信装置の運営者と受信契約を行った有料テレビ放送の視聴者は経済的負担なしに公共放送を視聴することができる。

図1は本発明の広告情報提供システムの構成例を示す図であり、広告提供システム100は、テレビ放送番組の契約ユーザ1と、専用受信機9と接続するテレビ受信装置2と、公共放送局4と、CM提供会社7と、公共放送局4のテレビ放送番組にCM提供会社から送信されるCMを受信する専用受信機9と、CM提供会社7に自社CMの放映を委託した企業12−1、12−2、12−3、・・・(以下、企業12)と、からなる。
