Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a pneumatic radial tire and a method for manufacturing the same, and more particularly, to form a green tire by directly attaching a tire member such as a carcass ply on a rigid core having an outer surface shape similar to the inner surface shape of a tire product. Then, the present invention relates to a bead structure suitable for a tire manufactured by a so-called core molding method in which this green tire is vulcanized together with a rigid core, and a method for manufacturing the same.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a method for producing a tire, for example, in recent years, a braided core molding method with an emphasis on an automatic tire molding method is given.
[0003]
The core-forming method is a method in which a narrow rubber strip is spirally wound on the surface of a split-type non-deformed rigid core made of, for example, metal having an outer surface shape similar to the inner surface shape of a product tire while being spirally wound, thereby forming an inner liner. Then, a non-extensible cord is spirally wound on both ends of the inner liner, whereby a plurality of cords are laminated and arranged in the radial direction of the rigid core to form a pair of first divided beads. After the formation, the carcass ply was stuck on the entire circumference of the rigid core from the radially innermost position of one of the first divided beads to the radially innermost position of the other first divided bead, and then formed. On the both ends of the carcass ply, a plurality of spirally wound cords are stacked and arranged to form a second divided bead, and the end of the carcass ply is sandwiched between the first and second divided beads. A pneumatic tire can be manufactured by forming a green tire by fixing and fixing necessary members such as a belt and tread rubber, and then vulcanizing the green tire together with a rigid core (for example, see Patent Reference 1).
[0004]
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-6-171306
By the way, the tire manufactured by the conventional manufacturing method has a bead structure in which the end of the carcass ply is turned around the bead core as shown in FIG. 7, and the carcass ply is firmly fixed by the bead core. Therefore, problems such as ply hardly occur.
[0006]
On the other hand, the tire manufactured by the above-described core molding method has a bead structure in which the end portion of the carcass ply is not folded back around the bead core and fixed, but is clamped between the divided beads. Since it is employed, the carcass ply or the like is apt to come off, and there is a problem in durability.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An object of the present invention is to provide a pneumatic radial tire capable of preventing carcass plies from coming off and improving durability by optimizing a bead portion structure of a tire manufactured by a so-called core-molding method, and manufacturing thereof. It is to provide a method.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a pneumatic radial tire according to the present invention includes a pair of beads having a bead core embedded therein, a pair of sidewalls extending radially outward from both beads, and a pair of sidewalls. Pneumatic radial tire having a carcass composed of at least one ply extending in a toroidal shape over each portion of a tread portion extending in a toroidal manner, and a belt for reinforcing the tread portion disposed in a crown portion of the carcass. In the tire width direction cross section, the bead core is constituted by at least two divided beads in which a plurality of non-extensible cords are stacked and arranged in the tire radial direction, and each ply of the carcass has an end portion, Between the split beads, it is clamped and fixed in a wavy cross-sectional shape with approximately one wavelength between the radial center positions of the cords that constitute the split beads There to be.
[0009]
The split bead is formed by spirally winding one rubber-coated cord and laminating and arranging five or more inextensible cords in the tire radial direction. The thickness of the rubber located between the cords constituting the divided bead is the cord diameter. 0.5 times or more, and in the adjacent two divided beads, the mutual codes are in a positional relationship shifted in the tire radial direction by approximately 1/2 times the radial distance between the center positions of the cords, In addition, it is preferable that the width direction distance between the center positions of the cords is shorter than the radial distance between the cord center positions.
[0010]
It is preferable that the cords of the two adjacent divided beads have an overlapping relationship when viewed in the tire radial direction.
More preferably, the non-extensible cord comprises steel or Kevlar cord.
It is preferable that the rubber constituting the rubber-coated cord has a hardness of 70 to 97 and is larger than that of the rubber constituting the ply.
[0011]
Further, the method of manufacturing a pneumatic radial tire according to the present invention includes the steps of: adhering an inner liner on a rigid core having an outer surface shape similar to the inner surface shape of a product tire; Spirally winding the cords to form a pair of first split beads by stacking a plurality of non-extensible cords in the radial direction of the rigid core to form a pair of first split beads; Is adhered to at least the entire circumference of the rigid core extending from the radially innermost position of one of the first divided beads to the radially innermost position of the other first divided bead to form a carcass ply. Forming, and pressing the end of the formed carcass ply so as to be in intimate contact with the first divided bead, and forming a convex portion at a cord position constituting the first divided bead, a position between the cords and the cord. After forming the second divided bead by laminating and arranging a plurality of stages of spirally wound non-extensible cords while making the non-extensible cords correspond to the positions of the concave portions, and deforming the corrugated cross-sectional shape to be a concave portion at A step of clamping and fixing the end of the carcass ply between the first and second divided beads by bonding, and attaching a necessary member such as a belt or a tread rubber to form a green tire. Vulcanizing together with the rigid core.
[0012]

Then, necessary members such as a belt and tread rubber are adhered to form a green tire, and then, together with the rigid core, the green tire is set, for example, in a vulcanizing mold usually called a split mold and vulcanized. [0028]
What has been described above is merely an example of the embodiment of the present invention, and various changes can be made within the scope of the claims.
[0029]
【Example】
Next, a pneumatic radial tire was prototyped using the manufacturing method according to the present invention, and its durability was evaluated.
[0030]
The tire of the example is obtained by attaching an inner liner to a non-deformed rigid core (material: aluminum) having an outer surface shape similar to the inner surface shape of a product tire (tire size: 185 / 70R14), and then applying both ends of the inner liner. By spirally winding a rubber-coated cord obtained by coating a wire having a cord diameter of 1.26 mm with a rubber having a rubber hardness of 95 on the portion, the inter-cord rubber thickness becomes 0.7 mm in the radial direction of the rigid core. Five pairs of cords were stacked and arranged to form a pair of first divided beads.
[0031]
Next, a number of narrow-width cord strips obtained by coating one polyester cord (cord structure: 1500 d / 2) with rubber having a rubber hardness of 60 are formed at an angle of about 90 ° with respect to the tire equator. As described above, the first divided bead is pasted while being overlapped on the entire periphery of the rigid core extending from the vicinity of the radially innermost end position to the position of the other first divided bead near the radially innermost end. A carcass ply was formed.
[0032]
The end of the formed carcass ply is pressed using a pressure roller so as to be in close contact with the first divided bead, and a convex portion is formed at a cord position constituting the first divided bead, and a concave portion is formed at a position between the cords. It was deformed into a wavy cross section.
The step of deforming in a wavy manner may be performed simultaneously with the step of forming the carcass ply, or may be performed after the step of forming the carcass ply.
[0033]
After the step of wavy deformation of the end of the ply, a cord similar to the cord of the first divided bead is used, and this cord is spirally wound while corresponding to the position of the concave portion, and five-step cords are laminated and arranged to form the second divided bead. Was formed. In this case, the first divided bead and the second divided bead are positioned such that their cords are displaced in the tire radial direction by approximately 1/2 times the radial distance H between the cord center positions (H: 1.90 mm). The width W (W: 1.06 mm) between the center positions of the cords is shorter than the radial distance H between the center positions of the cords. The arrangement was such that the arrangement overlapped by mm.
[0034]
Then, necessary members such as a belt and a tread rubber are attached to form a green tire, and then, together with the rigid core, the green tire is set in a vulcanization mold called a split mold, and vulcanized to form an air. Radial tires were manufactured.
For comparison, a prototype tire (conventional example) having the structure shown in FIG. 6, in which the end portion of the carcass ply was sandwiched and fixed between the divided beads in a straight state without being deformed in a wave shape, was also manufactured.
[0035]
(Test method)
The durability of each of the test tires was evaluated.
As shown in FIG. 5, the bead portion of each tire was cut into a 10 mm square so that the ply cord was not cut, and the tire was pulled until the ply cord was cut in a state where the cut bead portion was fixed. The end of the cord was observed and the state of deformation was examined.
[0036]
As a result, in the conventional tire, it was recognized that the end of the ply cord was deformed due to the tensile force and was deformed, whereas in the tire of the example, the deformation of the end of the ply cord was almost recognized. It can be seen that the durability is excellent.
[0037]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a pneumatic radial tire which is less likely to come off a carcass ply and has excellent durability by optimizing a bead portion structure of a tire manufactured by a so-called core molding method.
