【0001】
向流パージに必要なガス量Gp(LN/batch)は、原料ガス量をG0(LN/batch)、吸着圧力(吸着時の圧力)をPa(atm)、再生圧力をPd(atm)とすると、Gp=G0×K×(Pd/Pa)[式中、K=1.2〜1.5]で表される。

[0018]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
The isotope-selective adsorbent according to the present invention is contained in the raw material gas. 12 CH 4 When Thirteen CH 4 Out of 12 CH 4 High adsorption to Thirteen CH 4 As a first example, Na-A type zeolite in which at least a part of Na is substituted by Ca or Zn is heat-treated at a temperature of 650 ° C or more and 800 ° C or less. Can be exemplified.
Further, as a second example of the isotope-selective adsorbent according to the present invention, pentasil zeolite can be exemplified.
Further, as a third example of the isotope-selective adsorbent according to the present invention, mordenite can be exemplified.
The above isotope-selective adsorbent, Thirteen CH 4 When 12 CH 4 Has a high separation coefficient from Thirteen CH 4 Can be selectively separated and concentrated.
[0019]
The isotope-selective adsorbent of the first example is a Na-A type zeolite in which at least a part of Na is replaced by Ca or Zn, and is heat-treated at a temperature of 650 ° C or more and 800 ° C or less. is there.
The Na-A type zeolite used as a raw material of the adsorbent in this example has a zeolite crystal with a window diameter of about 0.4 nm. Enlarge to the range of 4 to 0.5 nm. Further, by performing heat treatment at a temperature of 650 ° C. or more and 800 ° C. or less, the size of the window diameter can be precisely controlled in units of 0.01 nm.
By setting the zeolite window diameter in the range of 0.4 to 0.5 nm, the molecular weight is relatively small. 12 CH 4 Adsorbs on zeolite crystals and has relatively large molecular weight Thirteen CH 4 Has a molecular sieve effect of not adsorbing on zeolite crystals. Utilizing this selective molecular sieve effect 12 CH 4 When Thirteen CH 4 Out of 12 CH 4 And mainly adsorb Thirteen CH 4 By not adsorbing Thirteen CH 4 Can be separated and concentrated.
[0020]
FIG. 1 shows a flow sheet of the method for producing the isotope-selective adsorbent of the first example.
As shown in FIG. 1, first, a Na-A type zeolite powder is prepared (ST1), and then the Na-A type zeolite is subjected to ion exchange with Ca or Zn (ST2). For the ion exchange, a batch method in which an ion exchange solution containing Ca ions or Zn ions is dropped onto Na-A type zeolite, or a column filled with Na-A type zeolite, and the above ion exchange solution is supplied in a pressurized state. Chromatography can be used.
Next, a binder (such as kaolin) and a pore-imparting agent (such as cellulose) are added and molded and dried (ST3, ST4). Next, preheating (ST5) is performed, for example, at about 110 ° C. to remove surface moisture. After cooling to room temperature, water is adhered to the surface again (ST6).
Next, heat treatment is performed at a temperature of 650 ° C. or more and 800 ° C. or less for about 1 to 3 hours (ST7), and further cooled to room temperature (ST8). Pellets of Ca—Na—A type zeolite or Zn—Na—A A type zeolite is obtained.
[0021]
Here, if the heat treatment temperature is lower than 650 ° C., the window diameter of the zeolite crystal cannot be increased, Thirteen CH 4 When 12 CH 4 When the heat treatment temperature exceeds 800 ° C., zeolite itself is undesirably destroyed by heat.
[0022]
Next, the isotope-selective adsorbent of the second example is a pentasil zeolite having a window diameter of about 0.5 to 0.55 nm. Thirteen CH 4 When 12 CH 4 In a mixed system of 12 CH 4 Has been newly found for selective adsorption. The adsorbent of the second example has a larger window diameter than the adsorbent of the first example, Thirteen CH 4 When 12 CH 4 Although the separation coefficient with Thirteen CH 4 Can be selectively separated and concentrated. This pentasil zeolite can be used as it is without performing ion exchange or heat treatment.
[0023]
Next, the isotope-selective adsorbent of the third example is
[0024]
The isotope-selective adsorbents of the above-mentioned first to third examples can be used under relatively high pressure conditions. Thirteen CH 4 When 12 CH 4 Contact with the source gas containing 12 CH 4 Mainly adsorb Thirteen CH 4 Through the flow of water to recover and further lead to a relatively low pressure. 12 CH 4 It is suitable for separation and concentration by pressure swing method (PSA) in which adsorbent is desorbed to regenerate adsorbent. That is, in the PSA used in the present invention, for example, at an adsorption pressure of 100 to 150 kPa, 12 CH 4 Is mainly adsorbed to the adsorbent, and then the pressure is reduced to 1 to 20 kPa. 12 CH 4 Desorption.

Next, an isotope separation and concentration apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described.

For this reason, Thirteen CH 4 Is mostly taken out of the system only from the outlet side flow path B. Thirteen CH 4 Therefore, a very high concentration rate can be achieved by forming a closed system.
[0029]
Next, the operation of the isotope separation / concentration apparatus will be described.
In each of the adsorption towers 31 to 33, 12 CH 4 The operation cycle of adsorption, cocurrent purge, depressurization, countercurrent purge, and pressure is repeatedly performed. That is, in each adsorption tower,
(1) Source gas supply ( 12 CH 4 Adsorption and Thirteen CH 4 Collection),
(2) 12 CH 4 Contains high concentration 12 CH 4 Supply of enriched gas (cocurrent purge) and the resulting residue in the column Thirteen CH 4 Replacement,

Operation cycle is performed, 12 CH 4 With adsorption Thirteen CH 4 Can be recovered again. By repeating such an operation cycle Thirteen CH 4 Can be efficiently collected.

The above-mentioned operation cycle will be described in more detail with reference to FIG. 2 focusing on the
When supplying the raw material gas, it is preferable that the isotope-selective adsorbent in each of the adsorption towers 31 to 33 is maintained at a temperature of −155 ° C. or more and 0 ° C. or less. When the temperature exceeds 0 ° C Thirteen CH 4 If the temperature is -155 ° C. or lower, it is not preferable because the energy for keeping the temperature low becomes enormous.
At this time, one of the adsorption towers 32 and 33 adsorbed to the isotope-selective adsorbent. 12 CH 4 Desorption is performed. Desorbed 12 CH 4 The enriched gas is stored in the

further, Thirteen CH 4 Although the effect of removing enriched gas is slightly reduced, high efficiency can be achieved without co-current purge. Thirteen CH 4 Can be separated and concentrated. In this case, the operation is further simplified. The isotope-selective adsorbent is obtained by exchanging Na ions of Na-A type zeolite for K, Ca, Zn, and Ag, and further performing a heat treatment at 550 to 850 ° C. for 1 to 3 hours after forming into pellets. Got. Table 1 shows a list of the isotope-selective adsorbents together with the heat treatment conditions. The ion exchange rate was set to 50%.
In addition, SiO 2 / Al 2 O 3 Mordenite having a ratio of 12 and SiO 2 / Al 2 O 3 Silicalite with a ratio of 3000 and SiO 2 / Al 2 O 3 The X-type zeolite having a ratio of 2.5 was heat-treated at 550 ° C. for 2 hours after being formed into a pellet to obtain an isotope-selective adsorbent. The isotope-selective adsorbent is also shown in Table 1.
Furthermore, SiO 2 / Al 2 O 3 The X-type zeolite having a ratio of 2 was exchanged for Na ion for Li, further formed into pellets, and then heat-treated at 550 ° C. for 2 hours to obtain an isotope-selective adsorbent. The isotope-selective adsorbent is also shown in Table 1. The ion exchange rate was set to 50%.

here 12 CH 4 Flow rate means the column inlet and outlet 12 CH 4 FIG. Specifically, it flowed from the column outlet Thirteen CH 4 Included in enriched gas 12 CH 4 Is contained in the source gas 12 CH 4 And multiplied by 100. That is, contained in the source gas 12 CH 4 The concentration is 9.89%, Thirteen CH 4 Included in enriched gas 12 CH 4 When the concentration is 0.099%, the flow rate is 1%. Therefore, when the flow rate decreases, Thirteen CH 4 Included in enriched gas 12 CH 4 Means that the concentration of is low.
The isotope enrichment ratio is Thirteen CH 4 Is the concentration rate of Thirteen CH 4 Included in enriched gas 12 CH 4 Against concentration Thirteen CH 4 Concentration ratio is included in the source gas 12 CH 4 Against concentration Thirteen CH 4 It is divided by the concentration ratio.
[0052]
As shown in FIG. 5, it can be seen that the isotopic enrichment ratio increases as the flow rate decreases with any adsorbent. In particular, it can be seen that the batch ratio of Na-A type zeolite (calcined at 720 ° C. for 2 hours) in which Na is ion-exchanged with Ca shows a concentration ratio of about 3.2 when the flow rate is 0.2%. It is contained in the source gas Thirteen CH 4 It means that the concentration is 3.2 times concentrated by passing through the column. That is, the natural abundance ratio in methane is 1.1%. Thirteen CH 4 It means that the concentration becomes 3.5%.
In addition, the isotope enrichment ratio of all the adsorbents shown in FIG. Thirteen CH 4 Can be concentrated. The adsorbent shown in FIG. 5 includes zeolite, mordenite, silicalite, and X-type zeolite ion-exchanged with Ca or Zn.
[0053]
On the other hand, all the adsorbents shown in FIG. 6 have an isotope enrichment ratio of 1, Thirteen CH 4 Can not be concentrated. The adsorbent shown in FIG. 6 was replaced with Na-A type zeolite without ion exchange, zeolite with ion exchange with Ag or K, and exchanged with Ca, but the heat treatment temperature was out of the range of 650 to 800 ° C. Things included.
Table 1 shows the results of relatively evaluating the results of FIGS. 5 and 6. In particular, it can be seen that A-type zeolite ion-exchanged with Ca is particularly excellent.
[0054]
Next, FIG. 7 shows the relationship between the adsorption time of the Ca-exchanged Na-A type zeolite (heat treated at 650 ° C. for 2 hours) and the isotope enrichment ratio. As is clear from FIG. 7, the isotope enrichment ratio is not particularly affected by the adsorption time.
Next, FIG. 8 shows the relationship between the column temperature and the isotope enrichment ratio of the Ca-exchanged Na-A type zeolite (heat-treated at 650 ° C. for 2 hours). As shown in FIG. 8, the isotope enrichment ratio tends to increase as the column temperature decreases, and the lower the temperature of the column (adsorbent), the lower the column temperature. Thirteen CH 4 Can be said to be improved.
[0055]
Next, FIG. 9 shows the Zn-exchanged Na-A type zeolite (heat-treated at 550 ° C. for 2 hours). 12 CH 4 Shows the relationship between the flow rate and the isotope enrichment ratio. As shown in FIG. 9, it can be seen that the change in the isotope enrichment ratio with respect to the change in the flow rate is relatively small when the exchange is performed with Zn, as compared with the case where the exchange is performed with Ca. This shows that in the case of the Zn-exchanged zeolite, a stable concentration rate can be maintained even when the operating conditions of the separation and concentration device change.
[0056]
Next, FIG. 10 shows the relationship between the heat treatment temperature and the isotope enrichment ratio of the Ca- or Zn-exchanged Na-A type zeolite (heat-treated temperature of 550 to 750 ° C., heat-treated for 2 hours). It can be seen that in the Zn-exchanged zeolite, the fluctuation of the isotope enrichment ratio due to the fluctuation of the heat treatment temperature is small. On the other hand, in the Ca-exchanged zeolite, the isotope enrichment ratio was 1.7 when the heat treatment temperature was 720 ° C., which indicates that the heat treatment temperature has an optimum range.
FIG. 11 shows the relationship between the zeolite window diameter and the isotope enrichment ratio. When the window diameter is 0.4 nm (4 °) or more, the isotope enrichment ratio becomes 1 or more, indicating that there is an ability to adsorb methane. In particular, when the window diameter is in the range of 0.4 to 0.54 nm, the isotope enrichment ratio is increased to 1.1 to 1.6, 12 CH 4 Selectively adsorb Thirteen CH 4 Can be concentrated.
When the window diameter is less than 0.4 nm (4 °), the isotope enrichment ratio is less than 1, indicating that the methane has poor adsorbability and is not suitable as an adsorbent for isotope enrichment.
[0057]
From the above results, as the isotope-selective adsorbent, Na-A-type zeolite which is ion-exchanged for Na with Ca or Zn and heat-treated at 650 to 800 ° C. is preferable, and among them, Na-A-type zeolite ion-exchanged for Ca More preferably, Na-A type zeolite which has been ion-exchanged with Ca and heat-treated at 720 ° C. has been found to be most preferable.
[0058]
[Experimental Example 2: Characteristics of Ca-exchanged Na-A type zeolite]
The properties of the Ca-exchanged Na-A type zeolite were investigated using the isotope separation and concentration apparatus shown in FIG.
First, as an isotope-selective adsorbent, a Na-A type zeolite which was heat-treated at 720 ° C. for 2 hours after Ca exchange was prepared. This isotope-selective adsorbent had physical properties shown in Table 2.
[0059]
This isotope-selective adsorbent was packed in each of the three adsorption towers shown in FIG. Thirteen CH 4 Was separated and concentrated. In FIG. 12 CH 4 Flow rate and Thirteen CH 4 Relationship between the flow rate of water and the adsorption time, and Thirteen

As shown in FIG. 12, first, from the vicinity of the adsorption time exceeding 360 seconds, from the exit of the adsorption tower, Thirteen CH 4 Begins to flow, and then from around 400 seconds after the adsorption time 12 CH 4 Begins to flow. And around 600 seconds Thirteen CH 4 as well as 12 CH 4 Reaches 1%. During this time, Thirteen CH 4 The flow rate of 12 CH 4 Is always higher than the flow rate.

12 CH 4 as well as Thirteen CH 4 The flow rate and Thirteen CH 4 If the adsorption time is up to 400 seconds, 12 CH 4 While preventing the flow of Thirteen CH 4 It can be seen that the enrichment ratio can be kept high.
[0063]
【The invention's effect】
As described above in detail, according to the isotope-selective adsorbent of the present invention, Thirteen CH 4 When 12 CH 4 Has a high separation coefficient from Thirteen CH 4 Can be selectively separated and concentrated.
Further, by performing the heat treatment at a temperature of 650 ° C. or more and 800 ° C. or less, the zeolite window diameter can be finely adjusted in a range of 0.4 to 0.5 nm, Thirteen CH 4 When 12 CH 4 Can be further increased.
[0064]
According to the isotope separation and concentration method of the present invention, the above adsorbent is applied to a pressure swing method, 12 CH 4 And adsorb Thirteen CH 4 High concentration by flowing Thirteen CH 4 Can be separated and concentrated.
[0065]
Furthermore, according to the isotope separation and concentration apparatus of the present invention, a separation and concentration method by a so-called pressure swing method can be adopted, 12 CH 4 And adsorb Thirteen CH 4 High concentration by flowing Thirteen CH 4 Can be separated and concentrated.
