従来のオンラインショッピングの販売方法においては、ネットワークを介して注文者から商品の注文が受け付けられ、宅配便等により注文者の指定した住所に商品が配送されている。そして、代金の決済は金融機関への振込みや、宅配業者への代引等により行われている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、従来のオンラインショッピングによる販売方法には、次のような問題点がある。第１に、宅配便等による配送手段では、受け取る時間に制約があることである。だいたいの時間帯を指定できたとしても、注文者はその時間帯に配送されるのを待ち続けなければならないことである。第２に、注文者は実店舗による購入に比べて、商品に対する保証や問い合わせ及び支払いや手数料・宅配料に関して不安感や割高感があり、購入まで至らないことが多いことである。

また、実店舗による販売には、次のような問題点がある。第１に、利便性の良い駐車場を備えていないと来店してもらえず、大規模駐車場を備えた郊外型大型店に客を奪われてしまう傾向がある。第２に、駐車場を用意しても店舗から離れている場合、商品の運搬に労力がかかることである。
