従来この種のトースターは、例えば、特許第3197854号公報および特許第3081560号公報に記載されているようなものがあった。すなわち近年キャラクターの模様を食パンを焼く時に焦げの濃淡でパン面に作ることが増えている。以下に従来のパン面に模様を付けるトースターの一例について説明する。図6は、加熱室1内に食パン2が載置される保持部材3がほぼ水平に設けられ、前記保持部材3の下方に下ヒータ4、上方に上ヒータ5が設けられたトースターであって、前記保持部材3は線材で構成され、その上に載置された食パン2の下面に模様柄を付けるため、模様板6を前記保持部材3の上面から前記模様板6の厚み分を突出させ、前記パン2の下面に当接し、食い込ますことにより、下ヒータ4からの熱を遮蔽し焼き残しを作るものであった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
前記従来の課題を解決するために、本発明のトースターは、模様板を、パン面よりヒータ側に突出して形成した保持部材の段差面に設けたことにより、模様板がパン面と当接せず、パン面との隙間を構成したものである。これによりパンに焦げを付ける輻射熱は模様板で遮蔽するだけで十分に模様を前記パン面に形成することができ、さらにパン面と模様板の間に隙間を設けることにより対流熱がパン面に周りパンより排出される水分を逃すことができ、模様部分が湿気ずに本来のパンを焼き、焦げを作る事により得られるサクッとした食感、食味を得ることができる。

以上のように本発明によれば、パンの面と模様板の間に隙間を設ける事により模様の付いた焼残した部分が湿気ることがなく、サクッとした食感の仕上りの模様が付いたパンを実現するものであり、パンを焼く事により得られる食感、食味を損なわず楽しい模様をパン面に形成することができる。
