Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a grease composition.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In mechanical parts such as constant velocity gears, transmission gears, ball bearings, and roller bearings, grease is usually used as a lubricant.
[0003]
Many of the components that make up these mechanical parts are made of metal. However, if the metals come into contact with each other and cause friction, heat and abrasion will occur at the contact points, and as a result, the life of the grease or the mechanical parts themselves will be reduced. Be shorter. Therefore, in order to reduce friction between metals, various additives such as a friction reducing agent are blended with the lubricant.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in recent years, the use conditions of the above mechanical parts have become stricter with higher performance and smaller size and lighter weight, and friction due to contact between metals tends to occur. In such a mechanical part, a sufficient friction reducing effect may not be obtained even when using a conventional grease to which a friction reducing agent is added.
[0005]
In addition, mechanical parts filled with grease are often used at higher temperatures. Therefore, there is a strong demand for a grease capable of obtaining a high friction reducing effect even at a high temperature.
[0006]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems of the related art, and has as its object to provide a grease composition capable of obtaining a sufficiently high friction reducing effect even at a high temperature.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the grease composition of the present invention comprises, in a lubricating base oil, (A) 2 to 30% by mass of a thickener based on the total amount of the composition, and (B) the following general formula (1) Alternatively, the composition is characterized by being mixed with 0.1 to 10% by mass of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of the phosphorus compound represented by (2) and a metal salt or an amine salt thereof.

In Examples 1 to 9, Comparative Examples 1 to 9 and Comparative Examples 13 to 21,
[0098]
Further, in Examples 10 to 12, Comparative Examples 10 to 12, and Comparative Examples 22 to 24, lithium 12-hydroxystearate was added to a lubricating base oil and dissolved by heating. It was blended in the blending ratio shown in 2-4. After stirring the mixture, the mixture was passed through a roll mill to obtain a target grease composition.

[Friction test]
Using the grease compositions of Examples 1 to 12 and Comparative Examples 1 to 24, a friction test was performed in the following procedure.
[0101]
FIGS. 1A and 1B are a perspective view and a top view, respectively, showing a test piece used for a friction test. As shown in the figure, after filling 1 g of the grease composition into a needle holder 2 (14 mm × 10 mm × 2.5 mm) formed in the center of a lower disk 1 (φ24 mm × 7.9 mm), a needle is inserted into the

[0105]
[Table 4]
[0106]
As shown in Tables 1 and 2, when the grease compositions of Examples 1 to 12 were used, a sufficiently low friction coefficient was exhibited under any of the temperature conditions of 80 ° C. and 150 ° C., and a high level of friction reducing effect was obtained. was gotten. When the grease compositions of Examples 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, and 12 further containing an organic molybdenum compound were used, the effect of reducing friction could be further enhanced.
[0107]
On the other hand, when the grease compositions of Comparative Examples 1 to 24 were used, the friction coefficient was particularly low at 150 ° C, and the friction characteristics at high temperatures were insufficient.
[0108]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, a grease composition having a sufficiently high friction reducing effect and maintaining the friction reducing effect at a high level at high temperatures is realized. Therefore, even when mechanical parts such as constant-speed gears are made faster, smaller and lighter, or when these mechanical parts are used at high temperatures, heat and wear due to friction between metals are prevented to prevent grease and wear. The life of the mechanical parts can be sufficiently extended.
