従来、椅子に着座して作業を行う場合の腰部の負担を軽減するために、前傾姿勢を支持することができる胸部支持体を設けた椅子は知られており、この胸部支持体付き椅子としては、例えば、実開平6−46556号公報に記載され、かつ図10および図11に示すものが知られている。

図10は、従来の胸部支持体付き椅子の正面図であり、図11は、図10に示す胸部支持体付き椅子の使用状態の側面図である。図10および図11において、椅子1は、キャスター2aを有する脚部2の上方に座席3が回転可能、かつ高さ調節可能に取付けられている。脚部2の上方、かつ座席3の下方には、L字状の支持体4の一端が支持され、他端は座席3の前部側方に位置するように配置されている。該支持体4は、座席3と一体的に回転するように支持されており、支持体4の上端には上下方向にスライド可能に取付管5が内嵌されており、固定ねじ6により任意の高さに固定される。

しかしながら、前記した従来の胸部支持体付き椅子1では、胸あて7は、座席の一辺と略同長の長辺を有する略長方形状からなる一方、この胸あて7は、座席の前部側方から略垂直に立ち上がる取付管5の側面部であって、着座した場合の胸部の高さに相当する部分に、水平状に取付けられているので、該取付け部分は、使用者のほぼ腋下又はその近辺に位置することとなり、前記胸あて7および取付管5が、使用者の作業時における上肢の運動を阻害する場合が生じる。すなわち、胸あて7および取付管5の一部が、作業時に主に使用する肩関節における上腕の運動領域または肘関節における前腕の運動領域(図10および図11において、破線で囲んだ領域A)内に位置しているため、作業中に、使用者の上肢が胸あて7および取付管5の一部分に接触し、作業に支障をきたすという問題が生じる。

また、前記胸あて7は、略長方形状の平板な板体からなるので、使用者の胸部と接触した場合に、胸部の隆起部(特に女性の乳房)が圧迫され、長時間の連続作業が行いがたいという問題が生じる。

本発明は、かかる事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、脚部と、該脚部の上方に回動可能に支持された座席と、前傾姿勢を胸部において支持する胸あてと該胸あてを支持する支持部とを有する胸部支持体とを備える胸部支持体付き椅子において、前記胸あてを、前記胸部の幅より幅狭に形成するとともに、前記支持部に、前記座席の前部一側方から胸部に向かい延びる支持腕部を設けることによって、作業時に必要な上肢の運動領域外に前記胸あてと前記支持部を配置させることとして、作業中に、使用者の上肢が前記胸あておよび前記支持部に可及的に接触しないようになし、使用者の作業の能率を高めることのできる胸部支持体付き椅子を提供することを目的とする。

以下、本発明の実施の一形態を図面に基づいて具体的に説明する。図1は、本発明に係る胸部支持体付き椅子10の正面図、図2は背面図、図3は右側面図である。

図1乃至図3において、胸部支持体付き椅子10の脚部20の上端に、回動可能な座席31を有する座部30が固定され、該座部30の下面には、固定手段40によって、胸あて51を適当箇所に支持する支持部52を固定している。

前記脚部20の下部には、平面視略十字形状に4本の支持脚22を張り出し、各支持脚22,…の端部には、それぞれ旋回キャスタ21,…を取り付けて、胸部支持体付き椅子10を移動自在となしている。各支持脚22,…の交差部には円筒状の支持柱23を上方に向けて垂設しており、この支持柱23には、支持柱23とは別体で、かつ支持柱23の内径に摺動可能な外径を有する移動柱24を収納している。該移動柱24の上部には円筒形状の取付体25を固着しており、該取付体25は、前記座部30の下面に、ねじ止め又は溶接等の手段によって固着されている。したがって、前記移動柱24の前記支持柱23に対する軸方向(図1乃至図3における上下方向)移動および前記支持柱23に設けた固定ねじ26による前記移動柱24の前記支持柱23に対する押圧固定とに依って前記座部30の高さ調整を可能としている。

前記立上腕部52cは、概ね前記座席31の前部一側方から、上方に向けて立ち上がっており、使用者が着座した場合の太股の高さ分よりも若干高い高さ、具体的には、概ね、前記座席31の上面から100ミリ乃至150ミリ程度の高さを備えるように形成され、そこから、胸部中央に向けて斜行する前記斜行腕部52dが連接されているのである。

本実施の形態においては、前記座席31の前部一側方から胸部中央に向けて延びる支持腕部を、胸部中央に向けて斜行する前記斜行腕部52dとして形成したが、前記支持腕部としては、胸部中央に向けて湾曲して延びる湾曲腕部(図示せず)としてもよく、また、前記立上腕部52cの上端から、一旦横方向に延びたのちに胸部中央に向けて延びる支持腕部(図示せず)として形成してもよい。要するに、前記支持腕部は、作業時に主に使用する肩関節における上腕の運動領域または肘関節における前腕の運動領域(概ね、図10および図11において、破線で囲んだ領域A)外に配置するように、形成されればよいのである。

なお、本実施形態では、金属製管体を折曲して前記支持部52を形成したが、前記各腕部(52a〜52e)の全部または一部を別部材として溶接等によって繋いで支持部52を形成してもよい。また、支持部52は、管体でなく例えば板体により形成してもよい。さらに、支持部52は合成樹脂により成形してもよく、材料は限定されない。

図4は、前記支持部52の固定構造を示す要部斜視図である。図1乃至図4において、一端に鍔部43を有する円筒形状の受入部41を、取付体42、42によって、前記基台32の下面の一辺側寄りに溶接等により固定すると共に、前記受入部41を前記取付体42,42に回動不能に固定する。前記鍔部43には、ボルト孔44,…が上方位置に3カ所、これと対向する下方位置に3カ所の計6カ所設けられている。一方、前記支持体52の前記固定腕部52aは、前記受入部41内に摺動可能な外径を備え、前記固定腕部52aの端部から所定長さ(前記受入部41に収納される長さ分)隔てた位置に鍔部53を設ける。該鍔部53には、ボルト孔54,54が対向する所定位置に2カ所貫通されており、該ボルト孔54,54にボルト45,45を挿入し、もう一方の鍔部43のボルト孔44,44を貫通させ、ナット46,46によって締め付けて、前記支持部52を前記受入部41に固定するのである。このとき、一方の鍔部43には対向する位置に3カ所づつボルト孔が貫通されているので、ボルト45を貫通させるボルト孔44を選択することにより、前記支持部52が固定される角度を調整することができる。この角度調整により、前記胸あて51は、図3における左右方向に位置調整がなされる。

前記胸あて51は、正面形状を略鼓状となし、両側面を湾曲状に抉ることにより、乳房等の胸の隆起との接触を可及的に回避できる隆起逃がし部51cを形成する。そして、金属製の板材によって、略鼓状に形成された裏板51aの上面にクッション材(図示せず)を配し、布材等で被覆して表面51bを形成する。

図5は、前記胸あて51と人体の骨格との位置関係を示す概略図である。図5に示す人体の骨格は、平均的な成人の骨格である。図中、胸郭70は、前方に胸骨71、後方に胸椎72(12個)、その間は肋骨73(12対)で結ばれる、籠状になった胸部の骨格であり、そのうち胸骨71は、胸骨柄71a、胸骨体71bおよび剣状突起71cの3部分に区別される。

前記胸あて51の大きさは、図5の仮想線に示すように、概ね、横幅(W)を前記胸骨体71bの横幅の2〜3倍程度の大きさとし、高さ(H)を前記胸骨体71bの長さと同程度の大きさに形成する。より具体的には、前記胸あて51の大きさは、例えば、横幅(W)150ミリ乃至200ミリ、高さ(H)200ミリ乃至250ミリ程度の大きさとして、前記胸郭70の幅および高さに収まる大きさに形成する。そして、前記胸あて51の支持位置は、図5の仮想線で示すように、前記胸あて51の幅方向(図5における左右方向)中心は、人体の正中線上に配置するとともに、高さ方向(図5における上下方向)は、前記胸あて51が前記胸骨71(なかでも主として、胸骨体71b)を支持できる高さ位置に配置して、人体の胸部を支持するのである。

そして、前記胸あて51を適当な高さ位置まで持ち上げ、その高さ位置で、前記突出板67の先端と前記ラック板61の溝とを噛合わせて、蝶型ボルト68を、前記長孔63および前記ボルト孔66に貫通させ、ナット69にて締結するのである。図7に示すように、前記胸あて51を支持した状態では、前記突出板67の先端が前記ラック板61の溝に噛合い、かつ前記ボルト68と前記ナット69で、前記側板62,62と前記支持板65,65と、前記突出板67の両側面における前記支持板65,65との接触面とを挟圧しているので、所望の高さ位置にて支持できるのである。そして、この状態から、前記ボルト68を少し緩めると、前記支持板65の前記突出板67に対する締め込みが少し緩み、前記突出板67は可撓性を有しているため、前記胸あて51は、前記ボルト68を支軸として、図3において矢示した方向に、揺動可能となる。なお、この揺動の範囲は、前記側板62の先端と前記取付基部64との隙間Sが許容する範囲において可能である。したがって、該隙間Sを大きくすれば、その分、揺動の範囲は大きくなる。
