Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a touch panel arranged on a display screen of various display devices such as a liquid crystal display device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art As a conventional touch panel, a resistive touch panel in which two substrates each having a resistive film formed on one surface thereof are stacked via a spacer so that each resistive film faces each other is widely known. Used to be placed. Recently, since it is often used outdoors, such as in car navigation systems and notebook computers, a polarizing plate is attached to the outer surface of the upper substrate to prevent the visibility of the display from deteriorating due to the reflection of external light. Those having glare are often used.
[0003]
However, since the conventional polarizing plate expands significantly at a high temperature, if the linear expansion coefficient of the polarizing plate is much larger than that of the lower substrate (for example, when the lower substrate is glass), a gap between the polarizing plate and the lower substrate may occur. As a result, the upper substrate is gradually curved and swells together with the polarizing plate. As a result, not only the appearance of the touch panel is deteriorated, but also the operability of the touch panel may be deteriorated because the distance between the touch panel and the lower substrate is increased.
[0004]
For this reason, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-142638 discloses a configuration of a touch panel in which a bulging of an operation surface is prevented by laminating a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film on an upper surface of a polarizing plate as shown in FIG. I have. As shown in the drawing, the touch panel is arranged such that an

[0006]
The present invention has been made from such a viewpoint, and an object of the present invention is to provide a touch panel that can be made thin while maintaining good operability.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A touch panel in which two substrates having a resistive film formed on their surfaces are arranged at a predetermined interval so that the resistive films face each other, and a polarizing plate is laminated on an outer surface side of at least one of the substrates, The polarizing plate includes a planar polarizer, and a protective film attached to the surface of the polarizer opposite to the substrate via an adhesive, and the protective film is a biaxially stretched polyester film. This is achieved by a touch panel comprising:
[0008]
In this touch panel, the polarizer and the protective film are preferably bonded to each other with a polyvinyl alcohol-based adhesive, and the bonding surface of the protective film preferably has an oxygen atom ratio of 32% or more.
[0009]
Further, it is preferable that the polarizer is made of a polyvinyl alcohol-based film.
[0010]
The protective film preferably has a hard coat layer laminated on the outermost surface, and the hard coat layer preferably has a surface hardness of pencil hardness H or more.
[0011]
The substrate on which the polarizing plate is laminated may be made of an optically isotropic film, or may be made of a retardation film.
[0012]
