BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a touch panel, a manufacturing method thereof, and a display device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a conventional touch panel, a resistance film type in which two substrates each having a resistance film formed on one surface are laminated via a spacer so that the respective resistance films face each other is widely known. Arranged and used. Recently, since it is often used outdoors such as car navigation and laptop computers, a polarizing plate is attached to the outer surface of the upper substrate to prevent deterioration of display visibility due to reflection of external light. What gave glare was used well.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, since the conventional polarizing plate expands greatly at high temperatures, when the linear expansion coefficient of the polarizing plate is much larger than that of the lower substrate (for example, when the lower substrate is glass), As a result of the difference in expansion amount, the upper substrate gradually curves and expands together with the polarizing plate. As a result, there is a problem that not only the appearance of the touch panel is deteriorated, but also the distance from the lower substrate is widened, so that the necessary pressing force is increased and the operability of the touch panel is deteriorated.
[0004]
For this reason, in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-34418, a surface film (for example, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film) having a smaller linear expansion coefficient than the upper substrate is attached to the outer surface side of the polarizing plate, and the upper substrate at a high temperature A method for suppressing the swelling of the ink is disclosed. However, even with this method, the upper substrate contracts more than the surface film at a low temperature of 0 ° C. or lower, which may cause the touch panel to swell.
[0005]
As described above, the conventional touch panel may cause the swell of the operation surface either at a high temperature or at a low temperature, which causes deterioration in operability. In particular, recently, the touch panel tends to be enlarged with an increase in the size of the liquid crystal display panel, and thus the problem associated with the above-described swelling has become more prominent.
[0006]
The present invention has been made to solve such problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a touch panel capable of maintaining good operability regardless of changes in environmental temperature, and a method for manufacturing the same. An object of the present invention is to provide a display device provided with such a touch panel.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The object of the present invention is to dispose one substrate having a resistance film formed on the surface thereof and the other substrate at a predetermined interval so that the respective resistance films face each other, and the one substrate and the outer surface of the one substrate. A planar laminated body is constituted by a polarizing plate laminated on the side and a surface film laminated on the outer surface side of the polarizing plate, and the surface film is made of an elastic material and has a linear expansion coefficient smaller than that of the one substrate. And the said surface film is achieved by the touchscreen characterized by the tension | tensile_strength acting at normal temperature. In this touch panel, the surface film is preferably a polyethylene terephthalate film.
[0008]
The planar laminate is preferably configured to be curved so that the one substrate side is convex in a state where deformation is not constrained.
[0009]
Further, a reinforcing film having a larger linear expansion coefficient than the other substrate may be laminated on the outer surface side of the other substrate.
[0010]
The said touch panel can be manufactured with the manufacturing method of the touch panel which acts a tension with respect to the said surface film, when sticking a surface film on a polarizing plate.
[0011]
In this manufacturing method, after forming the intermediate laminate in which the surface film and the polarizing plate are laminated, when the intermediate laminate is bonded to one substrate, a tension is applied to the intermediate laminate. preferable. Alternatively, the surface film may be attached to the polarizing plate after the polarizing plate expanded by high humidity treatment is attached to one substrate and then the polarizing plate contracts.

【The invention's effect】
As is apparent from the above description, according to the present invention, the one substrate and the other substrate each having a resistance film formed on the surface thereof are arranged at predetermined intervals so that the respective resistance films face each other. A planar laminate is constituted by the polarizing plate laminated on the outer surface side of the one substrate and the surface film laminated on the outer surface side of the polarizing plate, the surface film is made of an elastic material, and the linear expansion coefficient is larger than that of the one substrate. Since the surface film is tensioned at room temperature, it can prevent the operation surface of the surface film from bulging at both low and high environmental temperatures. The operability can be maintained well.
[0054]
In this touch panel, the planar laminate can be configured to be curved so that one substrate side is convex in a state where deformation is not constrained, and thus, favorable operability can be obtained more reliably.
[0055]
Further, by laminating a reinforcing film having a larger linear expansion coefficient than that of the other substrate on the outer surface side of the other substrate, the other substrate is curved so as to narrow the distance from the one substrate at a low temperature. Therefore, it is possible to reliably prevent deterioration in operability at low temperatures, which has been a particular problem in the past.
