Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide feed for deodorizing animal excreta, reducing an excreted amount of nitrogen into excreta, and further reducing a generated amount of ammonia from excreta so as to efficiently eliminate odd smell caused by urine of a pig or the like.
SOLUTION: The feed for deodorizing animal excreta is obtained by adding fruit juice lees or dried beet pulp to low-roughness protein-containing feed to which an amino acid is added. Giving the feed to farm animals for breeding brings about such an effect that the ammonia occurrence in a livestock barn is remarkably reduced to broadly eliminate odd smell caused by animal excreta at livestock breeding sites.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO

2. Description of the Related Art Offensive odors from manure discharged from poultry houses, pig farms, cattle farms, etc. and offensive odors from pets such as dogs and cats and body odors, especially those containing nitrogen compounds, pollute the environment. Therefore, it has become a major pollution problem, and various countermeasures have been taken, but no drastic countermeasures have yet been taken. For example, a method of feeding a certain kind of antibiotic with feed to suppress the growth of pathogenic bacteria in the animal body and promoting the growth of preferable microorganisms, and as a result, suppressing a bad odor, a chemical deodorant in a chicken manure treatment plant. And a deodorizing microorganism or a deodorizing enzyme solution, a method of decomposing a malodorous component by spraying and fermenting it (JP-A-8-317966), and further, for the purpose of reducing nitrogen excretion in pig manure, amino acids Method of feeding a low crude protein feed to which pigs have been added to pigs (Akemi Yamamoto et al., Journal of Japan Swine Farming Vol. 37, No. 4, 175-176, 200

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION The present invention reduces the amount of nitrogen excreted in the urine of pigs and the like, thereby effectively eliminating the malodor caused by the manure in a manner that does not adversely affect human and animal health. A feed for deodorizing animal manure odor is provided. The offensive odor caused by excrement in livestock houses and poultry houses is mainly due to nitrogen compounds such as amines and ammonia, sulfur compounds such as mercaptans, and other organic acids, but especially nitrogen compounds are dried and compost of animal excrement and chicken manure. The odor becomes stronger with the lapse of time in processes such as aging. The present invention provides a feed for deodorizing animal manure and odor, which reduces the amount of nitrogen excreted in urine, and hence the amount of ammonia generated, to efficiently eliminate the malodor caused by excrement of pigs and the like.

Means for Solving the Problems The present inventors feed these pigs with a feed prepared by adding fruit juice meal or beet pulp to a low crude protein feed prepared by adding an amino acid to adjust the amino acid composition, and raising the pigs. As a result, it was found that the amount of nitrogen excreted in urine was significantly reduced, the generation of ammonia in the piggery was significantly reduced, and the foul odor caused by pig manure at the livestock farm was significantly reduced. The present invention has been completed based on the findings.

The low crude protein feed (low CP feed) to which the amino acid is added according to the present invention reduces the crude protein content of the feed to about two-thirds of that of a normal commercial feed, thereby reducing amino acids that cause deficiency. It is a feed that has been added to satisfy the amino acid requirements of livestock animals. The fruit juice meal used in the present invention is obtained by drying high-fibrous fruit juice meal such as apple juice squeezed meal, mandarin juice squeezed meal, grape juice squeezed meal and karin pressed meal.
The dry matter of these fruit juice meal and beet pulp is usually 5 to 30% in a low CP feed, more preferably 10 to 20%.

In the present invention, a low crude protein feed in which an amino acid composition is adjusted by adding an amino acid to which a dried product of fruit juice meal or beet pulp is added is used as an animal defecation odor deodorizing feed for deodorizing and deodorizing manure. The mechanism of being effective in the development is that by feeding the feed containing the dried fruit juice meal or beet pulp, the growth of microorganisms in the large intestine becomes active, and it should be excreted in the urine originally. Nitrogen (urea) is consumed as a nitrogen source necessary for the bacterial cell protein synthesis, reducing the amount of excreted nitrogen in urine,
As a result, it is considered that the production of ammonia produced from nitrogen in urine is significantly suppressed.

Body weight was measured weekly and feed intake was measured daily. The amount of ammonia generated from the pig farms was measured by an NOx analyzer (Hartman & Brown, Reidus 2) (Hart) throughout the test period.

Defecation was carried out once a day every morning and carried out of the house. The results of ammonia generation are shown in Table 1, and the nitrogen excretion calculated based on the apparent CP digestibility is shown in Table 2. The amount of ammonia generated was stable 3 to 4 days after feeding each feed. In the mean value of the last 3 days of each period, the amount of ammonia generated when feed B was fed was less than one tenth that of feed A (Table 1). In addition, the amount of nitrogen excreted into the urine of feed B was reduced to about 1/10 (Table 2).

Example 2 A pig having a body weight of 40 to 50 kg was fed with the following five test feeds to carry out the test. For each test feed, 4 to 8 pigs were used, housed in metabolic cages, pre-reared for 4 days, and collected for 3 days in total feces and urine. The amount of feed is
A and C were limited to 3% of body weight, and feeds B, D and E were limited to 3.9% of body weight, which is different from Example 1 where the feed was fed ad libitum. Using the collected feces and urine, the amount of excreted nitrogen in urine was measured, and the amount of ammonia generated from feces and urine was examined by a laboratory-level in vitro method.
The measurement of the amount of generated ammonia by the in vitro method was carried out by the following procedure. Ie, fresh feces and urine, respectively
The mixture was mixed at a ratio of 1: 4 (40 g + 160 ml), transferred to an 800 ml container, and cultured at 30 ° C. for 24 hours. Ammonia generated from the container was sucked with a pump (about 500 ml / min), introduced into an ammonia collection bottle, trapped with a 1 N sulfuric acid solution, and the ammonia content was measured by steam distillation. -Feed A: the same standard CP feed as feed A of Example 1-Feed B: feed A containing 23% (30% externally added) of dried apple juice meal (standard CP + apple meal feed) -Feed C: Feed containing amino acids added to low CP feed (CP 11%)
(Low CP feed) ・ Feed D: 23% of dried apple juice dregs in feed C
(External 30%) mixed feed (low CP + apple meal feed) -Feed E: Feed C containing 23% dried beet pulp (30% externally added) feed (low CP + beet pulp feed)

The test results are shown in Tables 3 and 4. Table 3
Is the data for each test pig in each test feed, and Table 4 shows the average value together with an index with the standard CP feed as 100. In the standard CP diet mixed with dried apple juice meal, the amount of nitrogen excretion in urine was reduced to 64% and the amount of ammonia generated was reduced to 65%. Also, in the low CP diet adjusted with amino acids (Feed C), the amount of excreted nitrogen and ammonia in the urine were reduced to 48% of the standard CP diet. Furthermore, in feeds D and E prepared by adding 30% of apple juice meal or beet pulp externally to this low CP feed, the amount of urinary nitrogen excretion and the amount of ammonia generated were significantly reduced by about 20% compared with the standard CP feed. . In this Example 2, pigs were housed in metabolic cages and tested by restricted feeding.
