Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a safety device for a passenger conveyor such as an escalator and an electric road. 2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as an example of providing a safety device on a tread plate, a skirt guard disposed on a side portion thereof, and a balustrade portion,
For example, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 55-18235, there is known a configuration in which a safety piece such as a brush protruding from a balustrade base toward a tread plate side is provided near a boarding / alighting floor. [0003] Recently, with the development of public transportation, measures to enhance the safety of passenger conveyors, and the introduction of foreign substances such as tickets, commuter passes, and boarding passes into the machine, have been increasing. Intrusion (loss) prevention measures are required. This kind of request is regarded as important for applications with strong publicity, high safety,
There is a need for a safety device that is truly intended to protect passengers without the invasion of foreign objects. However, the above-mentioned known example is a safety device limited only to the vicinity of the floor of the getting on and off, and cannot sufficiently protect the passengers, and does not consider the maintenance. It is an object of the present invention to provide a safety device for a passenger conveyor which is improved in safety between a tread on which a passenger rides and a skirt guard, prevents intrusion of foreign matter, and is excellent in maintainability. [0005] In order to achieve the above object, a safety device of the present invention comprises, on a surface side of a skirt guard above a tread plate, a base that is in close contact with the skirt guard for each length. The brush body implanted on the base is provided so as to protrude toward the tread side, and the base is fixed to the skirt guard with a fixed body that does not protrude to the back side of the skirt guard. And Due to the presence of the safety device having the above-described structure, it is difficult to visually and physically approach the gap between the tread and the skirt guard to improve safety, while foreign matters such as tickets and boarding tickets do not enter. A multi-purpose effect can be exhibited. Further, the safety device of the present invention has a length corresponding to each of the separately arranged skirt guards, and can be attached and detached together with the attachment and detachment of the skirt guard, so that excellent safety can be achieved. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to an escalator shown in FIGS. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a main part of the escalator 1, and FIG. 2 is a sectional view taken along line MM of FIG. In the figure, an escalator 1 includes a plurality of connected treads 2 that circulate and move, rails 3 that guide and support the treads 2, skirt guards 4 that stand upright on both sides of the treads 2, and reinforcing members that hold the skirt guards 4 in strength. 5, balustrade 6, etc. And generally, the tread 2 and the skirt guard 4
And a gap G of about 5 mm exists between them, and a foreign body such as a ticket, a commuter pass, a boarding pass, or the like enters the gap G, resulting in loss of the body or a mechanical failure. It is known. For this reason, in the above-mentioned known example, a safety piece such as a brush, which protrudes from the balustrade base toward the tread plate side, is limited to only the vicinity of the getting on / off floor. In the present invention, an improvement measure for the illustrated configuration is added because there is no safety effect on the (treadway). One of the remedies is characterized in the longitudinal direction of the safety device. The safety device 7 is arranged on the entire travel path of the tread plate 2 from one floor to the other floor, and all parts will be described later. This is a configuration that exhibits a safety effect, a foreign matter intrusion prevention effect, and a maintainability effect. Two of the remedies are characterized by the structure of the safety device. The safety device 7 is provided on the front side 4A of the skirt guard 4 which is divided and arranged above the tread plate 2, by the length of each skirt guard 4, For example, assuming that the length of the skirt guard 4 is L (FIG. 1), the length of the base 7 is substantially L and is closely attached to the skirt guard 4.
A and the brush body 7B planted on the base 7A
7C having a configuration in which the base 7A does not protrude to the back side 4B of the skirt guard 4.
(The head of the countersunk screw is buried in the skirt guard 4 in the illustration). In this configuration, the base 7 of the safety device 7
A and the protruding portion of the brush body 7B cover the gap G, and visually and physically prevent the passenger from approaching the gap G portion,
Further, it is intended to prevent foreign matter from entering the gap G. In addition, by setting the base 7A to the length of each of the separately arranged skirt guards 4, when the skirt guard 4 is detached and attached in the maintenance work, it can be attached and detached together with the skirt guard 4, so that it is particularly special. There is an effect that no labor is required. Furthermore, since the fixed body 7C does not protrude to the back side 4B of the skirt guard 4, when the skirt guard 4 is pulled up directly as shown by the arrow Y in the maintenance work, the fixed body 7C does not come into contact with the reinforcing body 5 and is smooth. It has the advantage of being removable. It is desirable that the color tone of the constituent devices of the safety device 7 be different from that of the tread 2 so as to have a color tone alert effect. In the above description, the escalator tread 2 has been described. However, a similar configuration can provide similar effects in the case of an electric road. As described above, according to the present invention, a safety device for a passenger conveyer which has improved safety between a tread plate on which a passenger rides and a skirt guard, prevention of entry of foreign matter, and excellent maintainability. Can be provided.
