Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.大寸法と小寸法と内側大寸法と外側大寸法とを有する平面図において細長 い形状でありかつ、前記外側主面がほぼ滑らかでありかつ眼の強膜組織内に外科 的に形成されたポケット内に眼の組織と接触するのに適している基部材と、 前記基部の前記大寸法の少なくとも実質的な部分に沿って延びる前記基部材の 前記内側主面上の隆起部材とを具備する眼の強膜プロテーゼ。 2.前記前縁部は前方で凸状であり、前記後縁部は後方で凹状である請求項1 に記載のプロテーゼ。 3.前記基部の前記外側主面が平坦である請求項1に記載のプロテーゼ。 4.前記基部の前記外側主面が前記大寸法に沿って外方向に凹状である請求項 1に記載のプロテーゼ。 5.前記平面図がほぼ矩形である請求項1に記載のプロテーゼ。 6.前記平面図が半円形の端部を有する請求項1に記載のプロテーゼ。 7.前記平面図が楕円形である請求項1に記載のプロテーゼ。 8.前記隆起部が、前記基部のほぼ全体の大寸法に沿って延びる請求項1に記 載のプロテーゼ。 9.前記隆起部は前記基部材の前記大寸法の一部分に沿って延びる請求項1に 記載のプロテーゼ。 10.前記隆起部は、前記前縁部と前記後縁部との間の中間に位置する前記基 部の上方の最大高さを有する請求項1に記載のプロテーゼ。 11.前記隆起部の前記最大高さが、前記前縁部から前記後縁部 への中間より少なく位置している請求項10に記載のプロテーゼ。 12.前記隆起部の前記最大高さが、前記前縁部から前記後縁部への距離の約 12%に位置している請求項1に記載のプロテーゼ。 13.前記隆起部の前記最大高さが、前記前縁部において位置している請求項 1に記載のプロテーゼ。 14.前記大寸法が約5mmである請求項1に記載のプロテーゼ。 15.前記小寸法が約2mmである請求項1に記載のプロテーゼ。 16.前記プロテーゼは生理的に受入れ可能な金属からなる請求項1に記載の プロテーゼ。 17.前記プロテーゼは、チタン、白金、金、ステンレス鋼及び生理的に受入 れ可能な合金を含む群から選択される金属からなる請求項1に記載のプロテーゼ 。 18.前記プロテーゼはセラミック材料からなる請求項1に記載のプロテーゼ 。 19.前記セラミック材料は、磁器、アルミナ、炭化珪素及び高強度ガラスを 含む群から選択される請求項18に記載のプロテーゼ。 20.前記プロテーゼは合成樹脂からなる請求項1に記載のプロテーゼ。 21.前記合成樹脂は、ポリ(メタクリル酸メチル)、ポリエチレン、ポリプ ロピレン、ポリ(テトラフルオロエチレン)、ポリカーボネイト及びシリコーン 樹脂を含む群から選択される請求項20に記載のプロテーゼ。 22.前記プロテーゼは、強化複合材料からなる請求項1に記載のプロテーゼ 。 23.前記強化材料は、ガラス繊維強化合成樹脂である請求項22に記載のプ ロテーゼ。 24.前記強化複合材料がカーボンファイバ強化材料である請求項22に記載 のプロテーゼ。 25.前記強化複合材料がカーボンファイバ強化カーボンである請求項22に 記載のプロテーゼ。 26.前記プロテーゼが、柔軟な材料からなりかつ流体又はゲルで満たされる 内側キャビティを備えている請求項1に記載のプロテーゼ。 27.前記流体は水又は生理食塩溶液である請求項26に記載のプロテーゼ。 28.前記ゲルはシリコーン材料かコラーゲンかゼラチンである請求項26に 記載のプロテーゼ。 29.前記流体が生理的に受入れ可能な油である請求項26に記載のプロテー ゼ。 30.前記流体がシリコーン油である請求項29に記載のプロテーゼ。 31.前記プロテーゼには、縫い合わせの通路のために少なくとも一つの穴が 付与されている請求項1に記載のプロテーゼ。 32.老眼を治療する方法であって、 各ポケットが前記眼の強膜内において長手方向寸法を有しかつ前記長手方向寸 法が前記眼の子午線にほぼ横断して配向される細長形の複数のポケットを形成す る段階と、 前記眼は、前記眼のほぼ球状の外側層を形成する強膜と、前記眼の前面を形 成する透明な角膜と、前記強膜と前記角膜の接合部によって形成される縁と、前 記縁の後部の前記強膜の内側に位置するほぼ円形の毛様体内中央に位置しかつ赤 道を有する水晶体とを有し 、前記水晶体の前記赤道は、前記縁の後部のほぼ円形の交差部内に前記強膜と交 差する面を形成し、 前記ポケットは前縁部及び後縁部を有し、前記前縁部は、約0.5mmから約4 .5mmまで前記縁の後ろに位置し、 請求項1に記載のプロテーゼを、前記プロテーゼの前記前縁部が前記眼の前部 分に向けて配向され、前記隆起部を有する前記内側主面が内側に配向されて各前 記ポケット内に配置する段階を具備する老眼を治療する方法。 33.遠視を治療する方法であって、 各ポケットが前記眼の強膜内において長手方向寸法を有しかつ前記長手方向寸 法が前記眼の子午線にほぼ横断して配向される細長形の複数のポケットを形成す る段階と、 前記眼は、前記眼のほぼ球状の外側層を形成する強膜と、前記眼の前面を形 成する透明な角膜と、前記強膜と前記角膜の接合部によって形成される縁と、前 記縁の後部の前記強膜の内側に位置するほぼ円形の毛様体内中央に位置しかつ赤 道を有する水晶体とを有し、前記水晶体の前記赤道は、前記縁の後部のほぼ円形 の交差部内に前記強膜と交差する面を形成し、 前記ポケットは前縁部及び後縁部を有し、前記前縁部は、約0.5mmから約4 .5mmまで前記縁の後ろに位置し、 請求項1に記載のプロテーゼを、前記プロテーゼの前記前縁部が前記眼の前部 分に向けて配向され、前記隆起部を有する前記内側主面が内側に配向されて各前 記ポケット内に配置する段階を具備する遠視を治療する方法。 34.主開放角緑内障を治療する方法であって、 各ポケットが前記眼の強膜内において長手方向寸法を有しかつ前記長手方向寸 法が前記眼の子午線にほぼ横断して配向される細長形 の複数のポケットを形成する段階と、 前記眼は、前記眼のほぼ球状の外側層を形成する強膜と、前記眼の前面を形 成する透明な角膜と、前記強膜と前記角膜の接合部によって形成される縁と、前 記縁の後部の前記強膜の内側に位置するほぼ円形の毛様体内中央に位置しかつ赤 道を有する水晶体とを有し、前記水晶体の前記赤道は、前記縁の後部のほぼ円形 の交差部内に前記強膜と交差する面を形成し、 前記ポケットは前縁部及び後縁部を有し、前記前縁部は、約0.5mmから約4 .5mmまで前記縁の後ろに位置し、 請求項1に記載のプロテーゼを、前記プロテーゼの前記前縁部が前記眼の前部 分に向けて配向され、前記隆起部を有する前記内側主面が内側に配向されて各前 記ポケット内に配置する段階を具備する主開放角緑内障を治療する方法。 35.眼の高血圧を治療する方法であって、 各ポケットが前記眼の強膜内において長手方向寸法を有しかつ前記長手方向寸 法が前記眼の子午線にほぼ横断して配向される細長形の複数のポケットを形成す る段階と、 前記眼は、前記眼のほぼ球状の外側層を形成する強膜と、前記眼の前面を形 成する透明な角膜と、前記強膜と前記角膜の接合部によって形成される縁と、前 記縁の後部の前記強膜の内側に位置するほぼ円形の毛様体内中央に位置しかつ赤 道を有する水晶体とを有し、前記水晶体の前記赤道は、前記縁の後部のほぼ円形 の交差部内に前記強膜と交差する面を形成し、 前記ポケットは前縁部及び後縁部を有し、前記前縁部は、約0.5mmから約4 .5mmまで前記縁の後ろに位置し、 請求項1に記載のプロテーゼを、前記プロテーゼの前記前縁部が前記眼の前部 分に向けて配向され、前記隆起部を有する前記内側主 面が内側に配向されて各前記ポケット内に配置する段階を具備する眼の高血圧を 治療する方法。
