天然ガスをキャバーンから取り出し、パイプ9、9’、コンプレッサー4及び冷
却器6を通してキャバーン2に再循環する。コンプレッサー4は、コンプレッサ
ー4とキャバーン2との間の注入配管3内での圧力効果を補償するだけしか圧縮
を行わない、即ち天然ガスを実質的に圧縮しないようになっている。
、そのため、冷却した再循環天然ガスが、その上の暖かな天然ガスを押して再循
環させ且つ冷却する(図3参照)。

11を備えたバイパス配管12を介してキャバーン2に再循環(バルブ5’を閉
鎖し且つバルブ4’を開放する)する。この部分をキャバーンの底部に注入配管
7を介して導入する。この部分が温かく、及び従って、底部の方が頂部の方より
も軽量であるため上昇し、上部の成分と混合する。この際、温かいガスは、キャ
バーンの底部に貯まった水及び炭化水素を吸収する。これは、キャバーンからの
更に効率的な排出にも寄与する(図4参照)。

バルブ4’をなくし、再循環枝管9’をバルブ4の上流で注入配管3に連結する
。キャバーン2の約200barの公称運転圧縮に達したとき、天然ガスの注入
を終了する。次いで、バルブ5’及びコンプレッサー5を介して天然ガスを再循
環するため、バルブ10を開放する。キャバーン2内の天然ガスの温度がこの方
法により下がり、その結果、キャバーン内の圧力が低下した場合、キャバーン内
の圧力が再び公称運転圧力(約200bar)になるまで、天然ガスによるキャ
バーンの充填を再開できる。ガスをキャバーンから取り出す場合、バルブ10及
び8の両方を開放する。取り出したガスの一部をコンプレッサー5及びヒーター
11を通してキャバーン2に再循環する。

けられた、ライニングを備えたキャバーンの運転方法において、前記キャバーン
をガスで公称圧力まで充填する際、ガスの少なくとも一部を前記キャバーンから
取り出し、冷却し且つ実質的に圧縮しないで前記キャバーンに再循環する、こと
を特徴とする方法。 - 【請求項2】 前記充填及び再循環は同時に行われる、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方
法。 - 【請求項3】 前記充填及び再循環は順次行われる、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法
。 - 【請求項4】 再循環したガス部分を前記キャバーン内に前記キャバーンの底部で導入し、再
循環するためのガス部分を前記キャバーンの上部で取り出す、ことを特徴とする
請求項1、2、又は3に記載の方法。 - 【請求項5】 パイプラインからガスの形態で来入する天然ガス等のガスを貯蔵するために設
けられた、ライニングを備えたキャバーンの運転方法において、パイプラインに
導入するためにキャバーンからガスを取り出す際、取り出したガスの一部を、パ
イプラインの手前で、加熱し且つ実質的に圧縮しないで前記キャバーンに再循環
する、ことを特徴とする方法。 - 【請求項6】 前記導入は、前記キャバーンの底部で行われる、ことを特徴とする請求項5に
記載の方法。
