Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging apparatus for use with a heavy object, which can improve reusability without using cushions made of a foamed polystyrene. SOLUTION: The packaging apparatus comprises an elastic cushion 1 for holding an object 2 to be packaged, to be inserted into an outer packaging box 3 in tight contact, and a sheet-formed air mat 7 whose top face and side faces can be folded having a protective sheet 9 on a face in contact with the object 2. The object 2 can be reliably prevented from getting damaged due to a drop or a vibration during transportation. The elastic cushion 1, the outer packaging box 3 and the air mat 7 are reusable.
