Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marine structure capable of surely controlling Acanthaster though the control is limited to a narrow range, using corals as scenic resources by forming it as a structure considering the scenery, utilizing it as an emergency evacuation place of coral community in the sea area by installing it in a place in which corals are damaged and speeding up renaturation of coral reef as a feed source for eggs for regeneration. SOLUTION: The marine structure is obtained by spreading a net 1 under a cover 3 for blocking light and arranging a strut 2 so as to pass through the net. The marine structure stands in the sea and when the sea bottom is a sandy area, the strut 2 is solidified with a pedestal concrete on land and sandy area of the sea bottom is dug and the pedestal concrete is embedded therein to install the pedestal concrete on the sea bottom. After the pedestal concrete is installed on the sea bottom, the coral is transplanted in the part of the cover 3. Since the structure prevents the transplanted coral from damage due to Acanthaster, coral grows after several months and creates beautiful scene.

[Industrial applications] The coral reefs that characterize the sea of Okinawa have been severely damaged by the damage of sea starfish. Even in the waters where glass boats operate to enjoy the coral landscape, coral disappears due to the damage of the starfish, and it is managed by feeding colorful fish. Even the coral at the diving point is said to be a life-and-death issue for those who make a living by diving due to the eating damage of the starfish. According to the present invention, it is possible to control a small starfish, albeit in a narrow range. At present, the only way to protect coral reef resources is to establish a number of such control areas. In addition, the dark net structure for controlling the starfish of the present invention can be used as a tourism resource by installing it at a diving point or in a glass boat operating sea area, since it can have a structure considering the landscape. It can be used as an emergency evacuation site for coral communities in areas where coral reefs are widely damaged and coral reefs are widely damaged, and can be used as a source of reproduction eggs to speed up the restoration of coral reefs .

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a method of covering a coral with a net has been used in order to prevent the damage of the starfish. However, when the net was directly covered on the coral, the seaweed and other creatures prospered after a while, blocking the light necessary for the growth of the coral, and the growth of the coral stopped or died. In addition, the nets were broken by the influence of the waves, and the struts of the nets fell, and the nets were covered with the corals. As a result, not only could the starfish be unable to be controlled, but also the corals themselves were damaged. For this reason, the method of controlling coral starfish by covering the coral with a net is not practically used at present. Similarly, it is conceivable to put a net on the seabed to control the starfish,
There are many difficulties in netting in the rugged coral reef area, seaweeds are growing on the net, and the nets are damaged by the waves.

At present, the sea starfish is breeding abnormally in Okinawa Prefecture, causing catastrophic damage to corals. However, there are no effective measures other than manual removal. Also, manual extermination is rarely implemented because of its cost.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION The present invention is an effective method for controlling a starfish, which has a limited range for reducing any coral damage caused by the starfish. The present invention is a structure for controlling a starfish, comprising: a cover for covering a net for controlling a starfish; and a net arranged so as not to be exposed to direct sunlight by the cover. The sea-starfish control net is placed so that it is not exposed to direct sunlight (Fig. 1). The covering to block direct sunlight has the effect of blocking waves as well as direct sunlight, so the pain of the net is reduced and the control net can be used for a long time. Cover that blocks light is 3 from the sea floor
Leave about 0cm apart. This is to prevent the arm from reaching even if the starfish crawling on the seabed extends its arm upward. The only way to do this is for the starfish to go over the pillars and cover it. However, a net is stretched in the middle of the pillar, and the starfish cannot move ahead of the net. However, it is conceivable that a giant starfish entangled with the strut extends the arm and tries to touch the cover. For this reason, there must be a gap between the support and the light blocking cover so that if the armchair is stretched with a starfish attached to the support, it will not reach the cover. If a starfish reaches its cover when its arm is extended, it may be possible to use the arm's suction cup to cover it.

[Effect] 1 The net for controlling the sea star is protected from direct sunlight by covering, so that the seaweed does not prosper for a long period of time and maintenance of the seaweed is not required. 2
The effect of the waves is attenuated by the covering, so that the net for controlling the starfish is less painful, and the net does not need to be replaced for a long time. 3. The net for controlling the starfish is inconspicuous because it is covered with a cover. The cover is made of natural rock and can be used for coral appreciation in the sea area where glass boats operate.

[Example 1] A dome-shaped cover (3) with a diameter of about 80 cm and a thickness of 5 cm is made of concrete. This dome-shaped cover is fixed with a support (φ10cm).
Then, mesh the inside of the hem of the dome-shaped cover.
(Fig. 1) The struts should pass through the net. Keep this post and net clear, so that the starfish does not squeeze above the net. With this cover, a structure with a net placed in a dark place is erected in the sea. If the seabed is sandy, fix the pillars on the land with pedestal concrete. Then, by digging the underground sand and burying the pedestal concrete, the structure with the net placed in the dark place is installed on the sea floor.
(Fig. 2) After installation on the sea floor, transplant corals to the cover (Fig. 3). With the structure according to the present invention, the starfish will not damage the transplanted coral, so in a few months the coral will grow and create a beautiful landscape. (FIG. 4)
If the installation site is rock, insert a support through the rock and fix it with concrete (Fig. 5).

[Example 2] A net structure placed in a dark place according to the present invention is attached to a frame portion in contact with the sea floor (Fig. 6). Surround this framework with a concrete slab (Figure 7). The coral is then transplanted to this concrete slab (Figure 8). The transplanted coral is protected from the damage of the starfish by the structure with nets placed in the dark place of the present invention, so that after a few months it will grow large and become a beautiful landscape. The distance between the strut and the cover should be at least 30 cm, and at least 30 cm away from the sea floor so that the star does not reach the cover even if the starfish extends its arm.
