【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 複数枚のシートを積載する第1シート収
容部と、第1シート収容部からシートを1枚ずつ給送す
る給紙手段と、第1シート収容部に対して水平且つ並列
に配設された第2シート収容部と、第2シート収容部の
積載シートを第1シート収容部へ一括して移送するシー
ト移送手段と、第1シート収容部から給紙動作継続中は
第2シート収容部のみシート移送方向と略直角に引き出
すことが可能なロック機構を有する給紙装置において、 第1シート収容部の前後方向のガタ及び第1シート収容
部にかかる前後方向の変位スライド力を、ガタは極力小
さくし、且つ前後方向の変位スライド力に抗する保持力
を持つロック機構を設けた ことを特徴とする給紙装
置。
