Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry granular substance for feed, making it possible to actively utilize food by-products and agricultural by-products, and simultaneously to give a nutritive source containing various calcium sources to a domestic farm animal. SOLUTION: This dry granular substance for feed is obtained by mixing one or more kinds of the food by-products and the agricultural by-products with a mineral feed having a calcium content of >=20 wt.% together with a water-soluble organic polymer binder, then granulating the mixture.

Food by-products such as rice and agricultural by-products such as bran, rice husk, and straw have been used for a long time for low-cost production of livestock products. In recent years, appropriate treatment and effective use of industrial waste has been required by society. Furthermore, while the demand for out-made foods, such as the food service industry and catered lunches, is strong, the huge amount of leftovers processing has become a social problem. However, the degree of utilization is not yet sufficient in comparison with the amount of such by-products, and further utilization is being considered.

However, even in the case of powder, if a considerable amount is fed, it may be difficult to eat it as it is, and special processing such as adding molasses is required, and there is a problem that the cost burden is increased.

In the present specification, “calcium content is 20% by weight.
`` Mineral feed containing the above '' is obtained from minerals that do not adversely affect livestock as feed, such as calcium carbonate, calcite, limestone powder, shell powder, precipitated calcium carbonate, steamed bone powder, bone ash, bone charcoal, Examples include dicalcium phosphate, monocalcium phosphate, and silica powder. These may be used as they are, or may be pulverized as necessary to prepare particles having a desired particle size (for example, a powder that is easily dispersed in a slurry). If there is a commercial product, it may be used. These mineral feeds generally contain a calcium content of 20% by weight or more and are suitable as a calcium source.

Of these, calcium carbonate fine powder is particularly preferred. This is because it is cheap, can be supplied stably, and has good digestibility. In addition, such calcium carbonate fine powder can be supplied at a lower cost than, for example, the above-mentioned 3.36 mm (all agricultural standards). The low-cost calcium carbonate fine powder may be, for example, one for pavement filling for road construction.

Next, a method for producing the dry granules for feed according to the present invention using the above-described raw materials will be described.
In carrying out the present invention, a water-soluble organic polymer binder is added to a powder or a mixture of at least one of food by-products and / or agricultural by-products and a mineral feed powder containing 20% by weight or more of calcium. Mix. Here, “mixing” also means adding an appropriate amount of water for the mixing operation when the raw material does not maintain a sufficient water content. The mineral feed may be slurried in advance with an amount of water to be added in advance, and the resulting slurry and the by-product may be mixed. Further, in the case of sake liquor (leather) such as the above-mentioned beer liquor (leather) which is also a nutrient source for livestock, a certain amount of water content (usually 8) is obtained unless pretreatment such as dehydration treatment is performed.
0% by weight), which is advantageous in that the amount of water to be added is small.

In the present invention, the mixture obtained by the mixing operation is granulated to obtain dry granules for feed. Here, “granulation” is a concept that includes not only simply forming a mixture into granules but also a predetermined drying step as necessary. When granulating, the shape of the particles may be spherical, granular, or the like. Preferably, the particle size is such that the livestock prefers to eat it and is easy to eat.

[0015] The term "granulation" means only drying if the mixture can be brought to a suitable particle size and shape by simply drying. Usually, moderate hardness (1 kg / c
m 2 ) The product is molded by an extrusion granulator so as to have a breaking pressure of about before and after, and then water is sufficiently removed by a dryer to obtain a dry granule. The water content of the dried granules for feed after drying is preferably 15% by weight or less. For drying, a heat source is required. As the heat source, for example, waste heat of waste gas in cement firing can be used.

The composition of the dry granules for feed according to the present invention is determined naturally by adjusting the water content and the calcium content as described above and keeping the conditions of the mixing and granulating operations favorable. Is done. However, it is generally preferred that the ratio by weight of food and / or agricultural by-products to mineral feed is from 30:70 to 70:30 by dry weight. If the mineral feed is less than 30, the moldability, shape retention and durability will be poor. If the mineral feed exceeds 70, nutrients will be too low and will not be different from mere calcium carbonate grains.

The dry granules for feed according to the present invention are usually packed as raw materials, mixed with raw materials, packed without any other operation, and supplied to the market. The purchased livestock producer or breeder can use the feed dry granules according to the present invention by appropriately mixing other feeds. The dry granules for feed according to the present invention can be used not only for livestock products such as cows, pigs, sheep, goats, horses, chickens, turkeys, ducks and geese, but also for laboratory animals and pet animals. . The dry granules for feed according to the present invention, the surface of the food by-product and / or agricultural by-product is covered with mineral feed via dextrin,
In addition, since the particles are prepared in a dry state, even when, for example, beer slag is used, deterioration in quality due to fermentation of the remaining alcohol does not occur.

Form using beer slag To 30 to 70 parts by weight of beer slag having a water content of 60 to 80% by weight, 70 to 30 parts by weight of limestone fine powder and 5 to 15 parts by weight of dextrin are added. 5-15 parts by weight of water are added to these premix materials. The resulting mixture is agitated and extruded into a granule having a particle size of 1 to 3 mm using an extrusion granulator. After that, it is dried. For drying, a heating device such as various dryers and a microwave oven may be used, but waste gas (80 to 20) from the cement kiln may be used.
0 ° C.). If the waste gas is at this temperature, unsuitable fungi are also killed and the quality can be maintained well. In the obtained dry granule for feed, when the dry granule for feed is suspended in water at a weight ratio of 10 times, the pH of the supernatant is 3 to 9, and most preferably 5 to 8. When the pH is less than 4, it is not preferable because it suppresses the reproduction of bacteria and the like and lowers the palatability.
