“STRUTTURA DI COPERTURA, PARTICOLARMENTE PER TETTI REALIZZATI IN COPPO” "ROOFING STRUCTURE, PARTICULARLY FOR ROOFS MADE IN COPPO"
DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a roofing structure, particularly for roofs made of tile.
Today the problems that arise in the construction of a roof cover consist in having to ensure multiple needs, often interfering with each other, among which we can mention: the need to ensure the waterproofing of the roof to water; the need to ensure adequate thermal insulation and at the same time to allow optimal ventilation of the volume above the caldana; having to adequately resist mechanical stress, even in adverse weather conditions; the need to also allow shutter speeds as low as possible.
The traditional construction technique consists in using bent tiles, also called curved tiles, preferably made of terracotta and shaped according to an arched profile, showing a longitudinal taper.
The tiles, having to be arranged on the roof so as to completely cover the caldana or any existing slab, need a support in order to obtain optimal alignment and adequate support and anchoring of the same.
The tiles are divided according to their use into two types: the canal tiles are arranged, with the concavity facing upwards, on a support usually consisting of an ondulin, whose shape has a similar width and trend to that of the tile, so that starting from the ridge, the tapered end of one rests on the larger one of the following tile.
The roof tiles are laid with the concavity facing down, between two rows of canal tiles, so that the tapered end of the tile faces the ridge and the other end rests on the tapered one of the following tile.
The main disadvantage that can be found in this type of roofing structure consists in the fact that, since the ondulin is in contact with the tile, there is condensation between the surfaces of the same, which is absorbed by the tile.
In the event that meteorological situations arise that foresee the formation of ice, the consequent cracking of the tile is found.
Another disadvantage occurs in the periods of the year in which high ambient temperatures are reached, due to which the tar of the ondulin begins to liquefy, with consequent welding of the same to the tile and aggravation of the inconvenience described above.
As an alternative to the use of ondulin, it is possible to obtain a correct laying by using guide wires stretched along the pitch for an optimal alignment of the canal tiles, and an appropriate quantity of mortar spread by the operator on the sides of the tiles themselves in order to fix them to the caldana.
This method, however, has the disadvantage of requiring considerable time and great care in preparing the drafting of the guide wires.
In addition, given the incompatibility of the two materials to bond, the mortar, when drying, tends to detach from the tile.
In addition, the problem of condensation formation is not avoided, which is created in the gap between the mortar and the tile, causing the consequences seen above.
If, on the other hand, the attic consists of a wooden slab composed of a plurality of longitudinal strips parallel to each other and a series of crosspieces placed at fixed distances, on which the channel tiles are positioned, there is a risk of water infiltration. caused by the fact that the crosspieces, being only supported, are subject to water absorption.
A partial solution was reached with the patent n. 82561 A / 86 presented by the same applicant on 28/07/1986, in which there is a covering for roofs made of tile, which cover essentially comprises a frame, which can be associated with a caldana, on which a plurality of counter-shaped seats are obtained , suitable for the support and alignment of canal tiles. In the space between two seats there is also a support element for the tapered end of a roof tile, the latter having a through hole for interconnection, by means of a locking element, between said tile and frame.
Despite the undoubted advantages of this method in constituting a valid roofing structure for roofs, some unresolved drawbacks remain, including problems of space for the storage and transport of the crossbeams making up the frame, difficulties in obtaining a complete roof covering when the dimensions of the roof vary, given the predetermined length of the crosspieces, problems due to the deterioration of the frame, consisting of wooden elements, in case it comes into contact with water.
There are also condensation problems in the support points of the tiles on the frame and difficulties in obtaining good ventilation in the cavity between said channel tiles and caldana, resulting in the first resting in correspondence with counter-shaped seats obtained on the frame.
A last substantial improvement as far as the known art is concerned, relates to the patent n. ... filed on ... / ... / 1991 by the same applicant, in which a roofing structure is presented consisting of two types of modular plastic elements connecting longitudinally in succession by interlocking parts, presenting, as in previous case, suitable seats for the support of the channel tiles and between two consecutive seats suitable components for locking the deck tiles.
These modular elements have arched holes, placed below the aforementioned components, which allow adequate ventilation of the attic.
Although the solution mentioned here is effective in improving certain aspects concerning the covering of roofs made of tile, some problems remain substantially concerning the storage and transport of voluminous and non-stackable modular elements, occupying a high volume and a ventilation system that is not yet optimal. due to the reduced passage area formed by the arched holes created on the modular elements.
Furthermore, the method of anchoring the frame to the caldana, obtained by means of screws having a sufficiently long length to cross the thickness of the modular elements, is subject to bending which in the case of large loads on the roof (for example in the case of snow, hail or some foreign object) these can lead to the breaking of the locking system itself.
The main task of the subject matter of the present invention is therefore to solve the technical problems highlighted, eliminating the drawbacks of the cited known art, and therefore devising a device which allows to obtain an optimal ventilation of the cavity present between the tiles to be canal and caldana.
Within the scope of the aforementioned task, another important purpose is to create a roofing structure consisting of a frame composed of modular elements that do not require large warehouses for storage and large resources of means for transport.
Another object is that of obtaining a sturdy and reliable covering structure even in conditions of high load, without presenting weak points in the anchoring system of the frame to the boiler.
A further object is to avoid the problem of recovering the pitch in the laying of the elements constituting the roofing structure, a problem that arises when the length of the roof is not an exact multiple of the length of the modular elements.
Not least object is to provide an invention which is structurally simple, the same having contained manufacturing costs.
The aforementioned aim and objects, as well as others which will appear more clearly later on, are achieved by a roofing structure, particularly for roofs made of tile, of which the covered one has a through hole at one end, comprising a frame which can be associated with a slab. or warm and interesting also the ridge area, consisting of modular elements, preferably metal, which can be associated longitudinally with each other by means of a suitable joint, which is characterized by the fact that said frame has a cross section shaped like an "Ω" on whose side surfaces are obtained a plurality of first holes for the ventilation of the interspace defined between said tiles and caldana, and on the upper surface of which there are counter-shaped support seats to the channel tiles and second self-tapping holes for hooking said deck tiles.
Ulteriori caratteristiche e vantaggi del trovato risulteranno maggiormente dalla descrizione dettagliata di una particolare forma di realizzazione, illustrata a titolo indicativo e non limitativo nella tavola allegata di disegni in cui: Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become clearer from the detailed description of a particular embodiment, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the attached table of drawings in which:

With reference to the aforementioned figures, the number 1 globally indicates a covering structure particularly suitable for tile roofs.
Said roofing structure 1 is able to support and keep aligned, by means of a frame 2 suitably anchored to a slab or boiler 3, a multiplicity of channel tiles 4, on which corresponding roof tiles, indicated with number 5, having a through hole 6 near the tapered end.
Said frame 2 is made up of several modular elements indicated with the number 7, conveniently made of metal, which can be advantageously connected longitudinally to each other by interlocking parts.
These modular elements 7 have a cross section that tends to "Ω" in which an upper surface 8, two lateral surfaces 9, diverging as the distance from said upper surface 8 increases, and two fins 10 connected to said lateral surfaces 9 and bent externally with respect to them at an angle such as to be parallel to the upper surface 8.
On said lateral surfaces 9 a multiplicity of first holes indicated with the number 1 1 are suitably made for the aeration of the interspace defined between said channel tiles 4 and said caldana 3, while on said upper surface 8 there are support seats 12 , counter-shaped to the channel tiles, and a plurality of second holes 13, self-tapping, for locking said deck tiles 5 advantageously by means of a screw 14 which slides through said through hole 6.
On said fins 10 there is a plurality of third holes 1 5 suitable for anchoring said modular element 7 to said boiler 3.
Observing figures 4 and 5, the first and second ends indicated with numbers 16 and 17 of said modular element 7 can be seen respectively, constituting the interlocking device for overlapping parts which allows said modular elements to be connected longitudinally to each other. to the other.
Said second end 17 has, to facilitate the overlapping of parts, two grooves 18 between the upper surface 8 and the corresponding side surfaces 9.
Figures 8 and following illustrate an additional modular element, indicated by 19, which has a similar conformation to said modular element 7, but without the support seats 12 for the channel tiles 4 and with a height equal to that of said modular element 7 in correspondence of the tangent to the support seat 12 of the channel tile 4.
Said additional modular element 19 has the same first, second and third holes, indicated respectively by the numbers 20, 21 and 22, on corresponding upper surfaces 23, side 24 and on the fins, indicated by the number 25, exiting externally from said lateral surfaces 24 .
Also for said additional modular element 19, as can be seen in Figures 9 and 10, there are a first and a second ends suitable for mutual connection, indicated respectively with the numbers 26 and 27, the first end of which ends with a tab 28, protruding.
The use of the covering structure 1 is therefore the following: after having interconnected the respective ends 16 and 17 of each modular element 7 by interlocking parts, the currents thus obtained are spread over the boiler 3, proceeding at regular intervals from the eaves line to the ridge line.
. The aforesaid currents are then fixed to said boiler 5, advantageously using screws passing through the predisposed third holes 15 present on the fins 10 of said modular elements 7..
At this point the channel tiles 4 are arranged in the traditional way, using the predisposed support seats 12 present on said modular elements 7.
Subsequently, as shown in Figure 1, the deck tiles 5 are placed on said channel tiles 4, making sure that each through hole 6 of said deck tiles 5 corresponds with an appropriate second hole 13 present on the upper surface 8 of said modular element 7, and blocking the corresponding parts from time to time preferably by means of a screw 14.
The first holes 11, obtained on the side surfaces 9 of said modular element 7, have the effective function of ensuring optimal ventilation of the cavity between the surfaces of said tiles and caldana.
The additional modular element 19 has the function of eliminating the problem that arises when you want to cover a roof using modular elements of fixed length.
In fact, in order to recover the pitch, the channel tiles 4 can be placed on the upper surface 23 of said additional modular element 19, anchored to said caldana 3 through the third holes 24, thus binding, similarly to the previous case, the deck tiles 5 to the additional modular element 19 through the second holes 21.
Also in this case it is possible to connect several units in succession, by making the tab 28, protruding from the first end 26, overlap the second end 27 of said additional modular element 19 and possibly tightening with a screw or other locking means.
In analogy to said modular element 7, the ventilation of the attic is favored by a multiplicity of first holes 20, advantageously obtained on the lateral surfaces 24 of said additional modular element 19.
With regard to the storage and transport of the modular elements, it is advantageously convenient and functional, given that the flared shape of the same, seen in cross section, allows them to be stacked one on top of the other in stacks.
It has thus been found that the invention has achieved the intended aim and objects, having devised a covering structure particularly for roofs, suitable for optimal ventilation of the interspace between the two surfaces defined by said tiles and caldana.
There is also a minimum footprint in storage and transport operations, with both economic and time-consuming advantages.
From the point of view of the flexural strength under load, it can be seen how this frame leads to undoubted advantages, given the shorter length required for the screw locking the deck tile to grip the corresponding second hole in the modular element below.
The materials used, as well as the dimensions that constitute the individual components of the invention, may of course be more pertinent according to specific requirements.
