Description
presente trovato riguarda la fabbricazione di lastre di conglomerato e più specificamente uno stampo a vassoio utile in tale fabbricazione. the present invention relates to the manufacture of conglomerate slabs and more specifically to a tray mold useful in such manufacture.
In a process developed in recent years for the production of slabs starting from a granulate of stone material and a cementitious binder, a process described and claimed in Italian patent no. 1,288,569 in the name of Marcello Toncelli, this production requires that the starting mix be prepared with particular ratios between granulate and cement binder, the latter being added with an appropriate fluidifying agent for cement mixtures.
The dough is placed in container or tray molds, forming a layer of predetermined thickness. The mold is subsequently subjected to a first phase of very high vacuum but of very short duration, intended to remove the air it occupies and is retained in the interstices between the grains of stone material.
In a second phase the dough is subjected to a vibratory motion under a less severe vacuum than that of the previous phase.
The differentiation between the two vacuum degrees has the purpose of preventing the mixing water from boiling and thus generating water vapor which would hinder perfect compaction.
Then we proceed to the stages of setting and hardening of the slab.
It is evident from the brief indications above that the tray mold is subject to considerable stresses in the application phase of the vibratory motion, so up to now it has been made of metal materials of considerable thickness, which obviously entails drawbacks especially for handling.
To this it must be added that in the setting and hardening phases, which have a not negligible duration, a conspicuous number of tray molds must necessarily be available.
Finally, the tray molds must be made of material that does not absorb water from the "green" (not yet hardened) slabs that are formed in them, as the slab would thus be depleted of water with harmful effects on the mechanical properties of the product. the final. In fact, it should not be forgotten that in the process outlined above, reshuffling has a strictly controlled water content slightly higher than the theoretical quantity necessary for the setting and hardening reactions.
In carrying out the procedure in question, it is essential that the "green" (not yet hardened) slab or tile, coming from the compacting phase, does not lose moisture so that until now the individual tray molds have been introduced into a maturation chamber saturated with water vapor and kept there for 24 hours.
In consideration of these problems and drawbacks, the present invention provides a solution which not only allows their substantial elimination but also entails undoubted advantages from a technical and industrial point of view. The present invention consists of a container with a molded tray in plastic material having good characteristics of mechanical resistance and impermeable, so as to avoid even a modest absorption of water from the material in contact with the walls and the bottom of the tray mold, the container being equipped with a bottom and side walls, said bottom being equipped on the external surface with stiffening ribs and being shaped in such a way as to allow the water vapor-tight stacking of the trays one on top of the other.
In the preferred embodiment, areas lowered by a predetermined value are provided in the bottom of the tray so as to determine in the final slab protrusions having the function of supporting feet for subsequent processing, in particular the calibration of the raw slab.
Again with reference to the preferred embodiment, stacking devices are associated with the perimeter edges of the tray molds with simultaneous centering of the individual trays with respect to those immediately above and below.
The peculiar aspects and the advantages of the present invention will appear more clearly from the following detailed description, made in relation to the attached drawings in which:
la fig. 1 è una vista in pianta dall’alto dello stampo a vassoio; fig. 1 is a top plan view of the tray mold;
la fig. 2 è una vista in pianta dal basso dello stampo a vassoio; fig. 2 is a bottom plan view of the tray mold;
le fig. 3 e 4 sono viste in sezione secondo i piani di traccia OT-III e IV-IV di fig- 1; figs. 3 and 4 are sectional views according to the planes OT-III and IV-IV of fig-1;
la fig. 5 è una vista in sezione ingrandita del dettaglio racchiuso in un cerchio nelle figure 3 e 4; fig. 5 is an enlarged sectional view of the detail enclosed in a circle in Figures 3 and 4;
le fig. 6 e 7 sono viste in sezione secondo i piani di traccia VI- VI e VII- VII di fig- 2; figs. 6 and 7 are sectional views along the lines VI-VI and VII-VII of fig-2;
8. fig. 8 is a sectional view of three tray molds in a stacked condition; fig. 9 is an enlarged sectional view of the detail enclosed in the circle in fig. 8.
Referring first to Figures 1-4, the tray mold of the present invention comprises a bottom 10 and four side walls 12 which define the molding cavity 14.
Stiffening ribs 16 (A, B and C) protrude from the external surface of the bottom 14, of which those 16A and 16B are arranged at right angles to each other (i.e. parallel to the sides of the mold), as can be easily appreciated from fig. 2, while those 16C are arranged diagonally. In this way the mold has a high mechanical resistance and at the same time it is light enough to allow its manipulation in the different processing phases.
The arrangement of the ribs is also designed in such a way as to allow the forks of forklift trucks to penetrate for handling. However, the outer edge also has a conformation that allows manual grasping.
In fact, as can be readily seen from figures 3 and 4, the outer edge 18 of the tray is suitably shaped both to allow stacking and to allow the aforementioned gripping.
Referring to figures 8 and 9, the first shows three stacked tray molds, while the second shows the stacking with centered overlap of the tray molds in partial section and in enlarged detail.
In particular, from figures 8 and 9 it can be appreciated that the edge 18 consists of two portions 20 and 22, of staggered heights, so that in stacking the base of the overlying tray is arranged in the perimeter area defined by the portion 20 and is enclosed by the portion 22.
It is worth noting that in the manual stacking on the last tray a closing lid is placed from the cavity 14 which can also consist of an empty tray.
In fig. In fig. 5 shows a particular aspect of the bottom of the tray of fig. 1. In correspondence with predetermined and equidistant positions along the perimeter of the bottom 10 of the tray, the bottom itself has a drop 20, of very small thickness but such that in the final slab produced there are also protrusions of small thickness but such as to form from support feet of the raw sheet when it is transferred (after hardening) to subsequent processing and mainly to calibration.
Dalla fig. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 these lowered positions are eight in number, that is, two in number for each side of the tray. From fig.
1 it is also appreciable that these lowered areas are circular in shape, so that the projections consequently formed in the final raw slab have the shape of real support feet.
Preferably, the tray mold is made by injection from a suitable plastic material such as ABS resin or polyurethane which have the desired technical characteristics.
In conclusione lo stampo a vassoio secondo il trovato consente di conseguire i seguenti vantaggi: In conclusion, the tray mold according to the invention allows the following advantages to be achieved:
leggerezza; lightness;
rigidità; rigidity;
basso costo; low cost;
- resistenza all’azione degli agenti atmosferici, in particolare inossidabilità; - bassa usura; - resistance to the action of atmospheric agents, in particular stainless; - low wear;
- non assorbimento di acqua; - non-absorption of water;
- resistenza agli urti; - impact resistance;
- resistenza a temperature superiori a quella ambiente. - resistance to temperatures above ambient.
In particular, the characteristics of stackability and sealing against unwanted evaporation of water, especially during the setting phase, are worthy of appreciation.
It is understood that mechanically equivalent modifications and variations are possible and predictable without departing from the scope of the invention.
In particular, these modifications are possible as regards the arrangement of the reinforcing and stiffening ribs, as well as the shape of the edges to allow stacking and concomitant sealing.
