A package having a body part formed practically of flexible sheet material and defining a cavity for containing an article, the body part having a surface, in which a dispensing opening is defined; a sealing member being fixed to the body part and, in a closed position, such as to cover said opening in sealing contact with the body part around the periphery of said opening, and a plurality of sheet-like articles arranged within said cavity in the form of a flat cylinder, with one end of the cylinder capable of extending through said opening.

The package according to claim 1, wherein the body portion is elongated and has a thickness less than its length and less than its width.

Packaging according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the body part has the general shape of a parai 1elepiped.

Packaging according to claim 2 or 3, wherein the cylinder is aligned with its longitudinal axis extending in a direction generally parallel to the length of said body part.

Packaging according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the body part is made of plastic material.

Packaging according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the closure element is made of flexible plastic sheet material.

Packaging according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the cylinder is arranged so that said one end is its radially inner end.

Packaging according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the dispensing opening comprises a main opening part and at least a smaller opening part connected to said main opening part by a slot.

The package according to claim 8, wherein there are two of said smaller opening parts, each connected to said main opening part by a respective slot.

Packaging according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the closure element has a first end at which it is provided with a tab which is not glued to the body part and which can be grasped by a user.

Packaging according to claim 10, wherein the closure element has a second end, remote from said first end, at which it is provided with at least one slot which passes through it and defines a part of the closure element which is adapted to remain in sealing contact with the body part and prevent a complete removal of the closing element from the body part,

Packaging according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the cylinder is a cylinder of wet wipes. ■

A package according to claim 12, wherein the wet wipes are connected to each other by perforated areas.
