Secondo la presente invenzione, il lavabo 1 presenta una parte fissa 11, costituente un componente scatolare 11 per il montaggio ad una parete verticale (o sostanzialmente verticale) 14, specificatamente mediante la parete posteriore 2 del lavabo 1. Detto componente scatolare 11 presenta un perno di cerniera 7 sostanzialmente orizzontale, su ciascun lato di esso, che definisce unâ€™asse di rotazione della parte mobile del lavabo.
