Description

Descrizione di una invenzione industriale avente per titolo: Description of an industrial invention entitled:

Elementi passivi in volumi chiusi, per altoparlanti. Passive elements in closed volumes, for loudspeakers.

The present invention relates to passive elements for loudspeakers, which can be inserted and housed in closed volumes and without constraints, obtained in the empty compartments present in various areas of motor vehicles, for example in the parts of the interior finishes of the paneling, of the hat boxes, and the like, in which said closed volumes produce the necessary conditions for the passive elements, on damping elements, associated with loudspeakers that exploit the same volume of air.

It is known that in sound transmission technology and in particular in that specific to loudspeakers, the term "passive" means an element whose operation is not generated by its own "motors", as it does not have coils, magnets or other elements suitable for to serve its functioning as a traditional loudspeaker, but it is only constituted by a membrane whose mass is calibrated and calculated so as to move in phase with a primary driver, or “active” loudspeaker, which places it in excitation. It is also known that a passive element, placed on a centering device or hinge or damping element, which works in accordance with a loudspeaker that exploits the same volume of air available, with the same dimensions, produces on the latter an increase in the efficiency at low frequencies. This system increases the vibrating surface of the active element because it moves with the pressure or depression generated by the movement of the membrane of the same. The current combination of the aforementioned "active-passive" elements is achieved by creating special containers, or boxes, whose air volume is determined according to the characteristics of the active speaker; as a function of these characteristics, the mass value of the corresponding passive membrane is also calibrated and calculated, which is constituted in such a way as to move in phase with the speaker itself. The internal air of the containment boxes is not in connection with the external one.

Although the implementation of the systems described above has proved to be valid in terms of increasing the efficiency at low frequencies of the loudspeakers, with the same dimensions, it has some limitations in relation to possible practical applications, especially those relating to radio systems for motor vehicles in general. , due to their size.

The object of the present invention is to solve the aforementioned drawbacks. The invention, as it is characterized by the claims, solves the problem by means of passive elements for loudspeakers, inserted in closed volumes that can be housed without constraints in various areas of motor vehicles, by means of which the following results are obtained: the loudspeakers and the respective elements passive calibrated, are applied in the already existing compartments, or suitably and appropriately configured during the shaping of the vehicle bodies, inside the paneling, the parcel shelves and the like; the compartments themselves thus take on the function of traditional boxes with a determined and delimited air volume, and the active loudspeakers, with the corresponding passive membranes, find direct placement in them. The advantages achieved according to the present invention essentially consist in the fact that in order to house the systems, the compartments and dimensions existing inside the vehicles are used directly, without the need for specific additional boxes; the lack of boxes allows a reduction in weight, a reduction in the number of components, a reduction in costs and greater ease of assembly; the application allows to obtain the desired increase in the efficiency of the acoustic system at low frequencies.

The invention is described in detail below, according to embodiments given solely for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, with reference to the attached drawings, in which:

1 represents a schematic plan view of combinations of active loudspeakers with relative passive membranes, inserted in empty compartments, of different shapes, present or formed on the vehicles, and

2 shows the enlarged cross section of an example of embodiment of a passive membrane.

With reference to the figures, the situation required to achieve the aforementioned purposes and advantages is obtained inside any motor vehicle, obtaining the necessary closed air volume (1) from the partial or total configurations of the finishing compartments which are usually present inside the door panels, overhead racks, and the like (2). Alternatively, and depending on the foreseeable construction series of motor vehicles, the empty compartments (1) with closed air volume, necessary to achieve the same aforementioned purposes, can be made, according to the desired configurations and dimensions, in direct concomitance with the operations of molding and assembly of car bodies and / or body parts of motor vehicles. In any case, on the internal support structures (3) of said compartments, the openings (4) are created in correspondence with which the loudspeakers (6) and the passive membranes (7) are applied. The openings (4) are enclosed and protected on the surface, towards the inside of the vehicles, with porous coatings such as the same carpet and / or similar (5). The loudspeakers (6) are coaxially engaged to the corresponding openings (4) with traditional fastening means; the passive membranes (7), on the other hand, are connected to the support structures (3) through, for example, peripheral crowns (8) on which central masses (9) are engaged by means of elastic damping elements or intermediate centering devices (10) . The central masses, or passive radiators (9), can also be obtained from die-cut surfaces derived from the same support structure and can possibly be combined with added masses (11) for calibration, or mechanical agreement, to obtain an exact calculated weight, depending on the of the primary loudspeaker (6) that drives it.

In essence, the invention consists in the fact that the same situation obtainable from a set consisting of a passive element (7), placed on a damping element (10), which works in accordance with a loudspeaker (6) which exploits the same closed air volume (1), consisting of a traditional box (12), to generate an increase in the efficiency of the loudspeaker itself, at low frequencies and with the same dimensions, is obtained inside a vehicle, where the volume necessary closed air is created with a configuration such as to partially or totally exploit the empty compartments (2), existing or created during the shaping of the bodywork, including between the interior finishes of the aforementioned panels, overhead racks and / or other similar and suitable areas of passenger cars.

It is clear that, according to the configurations and / or according to the various requirements of applicability to the available, existing or specially formed empty compartments with closed air volume (1), the passive vibrating elements (7) can also be made with different structures, provided that their mass is calculated and calibrated so as to achieve the primary need for movement in phase with the active elements, or associated loudspeakers (6).

While the invention has been described and illustrated according to an embodiment given purely by way of non-limiting example, it will be evident to those skilled in the art that various modifications to the structures, compositions, positioning, orientations and assemblies can be made without forcing this going out of its scope and purpose.
