Description

General description

1 - The invention relates to a device for collecting and placing in a throwable bag the excrements of domestic animals, such as dogs and cats, and hazardous waste, such as glass splinters or the like, without having direct contact with them, thus implementing a hygienic and safe operation both indoors and abroad, i.e. on the street or in a park.

2 - Current situation

Municipalities in some cities distribute small plastic bags free of charge to provide pet owners with the ability to enclose excrement collected from sidewalks or parks. However, this operation involves aspects that are neither practical nor very pleasant for users, thus making this operation little used.

A frequent way to remove animal droppings is to take a small broom and a litter box with you when out with the animal. The drawback in this case is that the aforementioned objects remain dirty, causing hygiene problems.

Various devices and tools have recently been adopted to perform this function, such as the one consisting of two pliers that can be operated from the highest part of a handle, with a trigger. However, even these devices have hygiene problems since they remain dirty after use.

There are some devices made in the shape of a scoop, covered with a plastic bag at the end and another disposable bag, which are able to automatically expel feces. The drawbacks of these devices are the use of two different bags that must be used for each operation and the fact that the bag containing the faeces must be removed and closed manually, thus posing hygiene problems and not being 3 - Problems to solve

Undoubtedly, both for reasons of hygiene and for aesthetic reasons, it is very important to have a device capable of storing feces or other small objects in a bag that can cause injuries during their collection, and at the same time remain clean.

This device, as we have seen, is able to collect and at the same time close in a bag the waste of animals and similar, without any direct intervention or contact with the hands.

4 - Characteristics of the invention

The main feature of this appliance is to use a single plastic bag (gettahile) to cover the appliance both internally and externally, and to be able to put the waste inside said bag with a single operation, without direct intervention of the user's hands.

Another detail of this invention is constituted by the fact that the waste is collected with a sweeping action and by means of an elastic ring which, sliding, tightens the bag.

Finally, the characteristic of this device is that of being a single transportable object which, thanks to a single mechanical device, is capable of simultaneously sweeping, collecting waste and closing it inside a throwable bag.

5 - Brief description of operation

The appliance collects pet droppings safely, avoiding direct contact with the user, leaving the appliance clean. The axial movement of the small cylindrical barrel (fig. 3 n.1) inside the tubular handle (fig. 3 n.4) determines the retention or opening of a flap of a bag, through pliers (fig. 3 5).

The cylindrical-shaped lower body (fig. 3 n.6), open from both ends, has its sides in contact with the bell-shaped sides of the body; it is constantly kept in its rest position thanks to a device that works as a spring that opposes the upper internal part of the bell.

The lower part of the bell has a notch which, sliding on the external part of the tubular body, pushes a clastic towards the final surface of the same, in a conical shape; by doing so, the elastic is automatically ejected. The bag is positioned upside down and held by its extreme edge by the pincers which are inside the bell, and has its opening turned towards the outside of the tubular body; the slipping of the elastic activates the sweeping system of the surface located under the device, resulting in the closure of the bag.

6 - Representations in the attached drawings

Among the numbers indicated in the attached drawings, n.4 indicates an empty tube attached to the bell (n.7).

Inside this tube there is a barrel (# 3) (see Figs. 3 and 5) which has a caliper (# 5) in its lower part that protrudes into the internal part of the bell.

This small cylindrical barrel can be operated inside the tube (# 4) mainly from a rest position (v, fig. 3) in which the pliers are in the closed position, to an operating position in which the barrel is towards the down and the pliers are in the open position (see fig. 5).

The pliers have a spring inside (# 9) which keeps them open when the tube is lowered.

A button (# 1) which is in the upper part of the barrel (# 3) and emerges from the top of the tube (# 4) activates the aforementioned spring.

Both the button and the portion of this barrel have a first gasket (# 11 fig. 5) which presses against a helical spring (# 2) which is located under a fixed protection (# 12) inside the tube (n.4).

When the button is pressed (# 1 fig. 5) the barrel moves downwards compressing the spring (# 2) and causing the opening of the pliers (# 5) that free the extreme flap of the bag (# , 13 fig. 8) retained by these.

The bell (n.7 fig.5) has a lateral surface (7a) and a cylindrical shape which in turn contains inside another cylindrical body (n.6) open from both ends.

The aforesaid cylindrical body (n.6) moves axially inside the vertical walls of the bell (7a) described above, from a rest position (see fig. 5), to an operative position (see fig. 8) in which the cylindrical body (n.6) is totally contained within the walls (7a) of the bell.

The final part of the cylindrical body, with a conical shape (6a), circumscribes the surface area where the "sweep" action takes place.

In fig. 2 the device is shown in the rest position with a bag already installed. The end of the bag is held by the pliers (# 5), its side parts (13a) turned over on the outer sides of the cylinder (# 6), and is held by the elastic (# 14),

The cylinder (# 6) is constantly held in the rest position by the action of some plastic supports made in narrow strips.

Fig, 3 shows said plastic strips positioned in the cylinder, while in fig. 5 you can see these plastic supports made of narrow strips (n.16) integrated in the upper part of the cylindrical body.

The plastic strips can flex when they slide inside the cylindrical surface of the bell; they are arranged in the upper part of the cylinder (n.6) forming a crown.

The cylindrical body (n.6) also has rectilinear guides that regulate its axial sliding movement in the bell; the guides are made up of some channels and some complementary relief parts (17a) which slide inside the aforementioned channels, as shown in figs. 5 and 6, or in the sections of said channels (17) and in the complementary projections (17a) which slide inside said channels as shown in figs. 3 and 4.

8 - Specific use of the appliance

The operation is better explained with the help of figs. 7 and 8.

Fig. 7 shows an enlargement of the lower part of this device in its rest position, here without bag (# 13), but it is intended that the bag is installed as it appears in fig. 2.

To collect the animal's feces from the ground (# 18 fig.8) or various splinters, the bell (# 7) is placed on top, covering them.

When the device is pressed down, the aforementioned bell (# 7) descends until the lowest part of the cylinder (# 6) re-enters the bell. The axial movement of the cylinder (# 6) causes the expulsion of the elastic (# 14 fig.2) positioned in the lower part (7b) of the same.

The rubber band is pushed to slide down and sweep the ground surface under the bell. In fact, as soon as the aforementioned elastic reaches the lower part of the threshold (6a), it snaps and closes promptly around the flaps of the bag, and at the same time, "sweeps" the area included under the bell, closing the excrement or that that you intend to collect, in a bag.

Note the total hygiene of the operation thanks to the flaps of the bag that preserve the internal and external surface of the appliance from any contact, and the fact that the part of the bag that performs the sweeping action following the release of the elastic remains turned inside the closed bag.

Claims (1)

Claims Device to collect from the ground and close in plastic bags (get labile) excrement of pets and similar waste, avoiding any direct contact with the user's hands, while leaving the collector clean. The device is characterized by: 1) by a tubular plastic handle, free at the top but joined to a bell-shaped plastic body at the bottom; 2) from a small cylindrical barrel free to slide axially inside the tubular handle, and which has a pliers in its lower part and a button in the upper part that serves to make it move from top to bottom, i.e. from an initial position rest in which the pliers hold the bag, to an operating position in which the downward movement of the barrel causes the pliers to open and the consequent release of the bag containing the collected substances; 3) by a cylindrical shaped body that moves inside the bell and is delimited by the internal surface of the same. The cylinder is in the rest position when its lower part comes out of the threshold of the bell, and has. at the lower end, an edge that tapers conically towards the inside. The cylinder moves axially inside the bell until its threshold aligns with that of the bell. The cylinder is constantly kept in the rest position having in the upper part a device consisting of some flexible plastic strips which resist against the internal walls of the bell. The movement of said cylinder involves the expulsion of the elastic ring, placed, during the rest position, around the outer edge of the cylindrical body; 4) from the bag positioned in a turned way, and held in its upper part by a clamp inside the bell; 5) by the elastic placed around the cylinder, which allows the sweeping action of the surface under the bell and the closure of the bag; 6) from the button that makes the small cylindrical barrel slide which is positioned in the upper part of said barrel and is placed between a gasket and the internal walls of the tubular handle against which it contrasts; 7) from the sliding of the lower part of the bell on the external walls of the cylinder placed inside the bell, which causes the expulsion of the elastic ring; 8) by the flexible device that holds the cylinder in its rest position, consisting of a helical spring that presses the outer walls of the cylinder and the inner walls of the bell. 9) by the longitudinal plastic strips placed in the upper part of the cylinder, which hold it in its rest position and which contrast in an elastic way against the internal walls of the bell.
